Ye Siyuan returned to the living room and heard Si Lisao ask her brother, "How do you plan to handle this matter?"

Mo Yinhe didn’t speak; he was focused on playing mahjong, letting his precious one win.

Si Lisao knew that Mo Yinhe cherished Si Yuan and would not let such a serious matter go easily. Fearing that his own intervention would disrupt Mo Yinhe’s plans, he had asked, not expecting to be given the cold shoulder in return.

It wasn’t that he had no way to deal with Mo Yinhe’s indifferent temper, Si Lisao thought. He casually drew a Three of Bamboo tile, placed it on the table, and said, "Little sister, after the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, you need to return to Mu Continent. You’ve stayed in Yecheng for several months. As the Queen of Mu Continent, it’s not proper for you to remain in Yecheng indefinitely. You will return to Mu Continent in the first half of this year."

This tone was not for discussion, but an unequivocal announcent.

Si Mingjing’s astute gaze flickered, and she gave Mo Yinhe a kick.

What is it they say about gods fighting and mortals suffering? she thought. No, that’s not right, I’m no mortal!

In any case, Si Mingjing was very clear that Mo Yinhe’s arrogant attitude towards his brother-in-law, Si Lisao, had caused her to beco collateral damage. Who else should she kick if not the instigator?

Mo Yinhe glanced at Si Lisao.

That glance was sharp, like a scalpel yearning to stab Si Lisao directly.

That scoundrel! Just because I ignored him, he wants to separate that couple! Mo Yinhe fud internally, thinking of Ye Siyuan and Si Lisao.

Si Lisao didn’t look at Mo Yinhe. With Ye Siyuan’s arrival, he was about to give up his seat, but Ye Siyuan wrapped her arms around his and sat quietly beside him, watching him play mahjong, her deanor both demure and brightly charming.

Mo Yinhe’s expression turned grim as he launched into a tirade at Si Lisao, "You have the nerve to ask! If you hadn’t stolen my sister’s heart, would she have been sched against like this?"

"Brother!" Ye Siyuan protested, displeased.

Her brother is clearly blaming the victim! On what grounds? she thought.

Ye Siyuan took the initiative to tell Si Lisao, her voice teasing, "I know who’s trying to harm . Let them be smug for a few days. When the impact of this incident grows and public sentint reaches its peak, I’ll expose all the culprits. I’ll take them down in one fell swoop, eradicating them completely. Don’t you worry."

Suddenly, Si Lisao asked, "Is there no problem with your health?"

"Hmm?" Ye Siyuan didn’t quite understand.

Si Lisao confird his suspicion. He reached out and gently rubbed her small head, her expression as normal as ever.

If she really had a health problem, she couldn’t possibly be so calm, nor be in the mood to play mahjong. She would have been crying her eyes out long ago. All her reactions indicate one thing: she’s perfectly healthy, he thought.

"I... I... I... I do have a problem," Ye Siyuan stamred, trying to maintain the pretense.

Mo Yinhe pressed his fingers to his temples. "Idiot," he muttered, referring to his sister.

Ye Shen was in the middle of playing a tile when he heard this and asked, "Bro, who are you scolding?"

He thought Mo Yinhe was scolding him, Ye Shen mused.

Mo Yinhe couldn’t be bothered to answer Ye Shen.

Si Mingjing knew Si Lisao, the Crown Prince, would guess sooner or later, so she explained, "She almost had a problem, but luckily Yangyang perford a divination for Si Yuan. It predicted she would face a calamity soon and advised her not to eat anything carelessly."

"Oh, co on, Sister-in-law!" Ye Siyuan exclaid, so anxious she almost jumped. She had thought Si Lisao hadn’t figured it out!

Mo Yinhe couldn’t bear to look at his slow-witted sister any longer.

Si Lisao’s expression hardened.

When he was expressionless, he was terrifying. At least, Ye Siyuan found him so and imdiately clamped her mouth shut, like a young wife caught misbehaving. Her survival instincts kicking in, she desperately reached out and tugged at Si Lisao’s sleeve.

Ye Shen, fiercely protective of his sister, slamd his mahjong tile onto the table and bellowed, "Hey! Si Lisao, you dare to be harsh with my sister in our own house? Do you think my brother and I are just decorations?"

"Call Brother-in-law!" Si Lisao commanded in a deep voice.

Ye Shen felt an imnse pressure bear down on him, and he unconsciously complied, "Brother-in-law."

The mont the word left his mouth, he regretted caving to Si Lisao’s aura. He almost wanted to slap himself! He then snorted, "This is my house, and you haven’t even married my sister yet!"

Ye Siyuan shot Ye Shen a glare. Stop talking! she silently urged.

She quickly tried to appease Si Lisao, "I’m sorry, I didn’t an to deceive you. Please don’t be angry, okay? I even twisted my ankle; it still hurts when I walk."

Seeing her cautious expression, Si Lisao couldn’t bring himself to maintain a stern face. His handso features softened, and he reached out to gently rub her head. "I’m not angry," he said. "It’s very good that you’re alright."

Ye Siyuan, still shaken, said, "I really was on the verge of a terrible accident! Truly!"

Of course, Si Lisao knew. Soone had ticulously plotted to harm her; it was her good fortune that she had managed to escape the calamity, he thought.

Si Lisao pulled her small, trembling fra—like a startled bird—into his embrace, holding her for a mont. Feeling his tenderness, Ye Siyuan finally breathed a sigh of relief, her face brightening once more.

During the two days the Ye Family lay low, news that Ye Siyuan had beco infertile from taking diet pills spread through every street and alley across Atlantis, causing a massive uproar.

The public simultaneously detested the severe harm caused by diet pills and blad Ye Siyuan for damaging her health by taking them unnecessarily.

Victim-blaming was rampant, and Ye Siyuan was viciously condemned by the populace.

Fortunately, she had been prepared. From the very beginning, she disconnected from the internet, stayed cooped up at ho playing mahjong every day, and avoided all contact with news from the outside world. Out of sight, out of mind, she figured. Like a lurking eagle, she patiently awaited the mont to strike back.

「Three days later」

Mo Yinhe held a state banquet in the Atlantis Underwater Palace.

This was the annual New Year state banquet, held after the New Year holidays concluded.

All six major families and high-ranking imperial officials received invitations to this customary banquet, which served to reward them and signal the start of the new work year. No one found it surprising.

Many people attended, and for this state event, guests were permitted to bring their relatives.

The state banquet featured exquisite delicacies and fine wines, all ticulously prepared.

Ye Siyuan made her first public appearance since the incident erupted. In stark contrast to her previous haggard, dispirited state at Ye Shen’s wedding, she now looked radiant and full of life, exuding a charmingly feminine air beside Si Lisao, playful and adorable.

It was evident to everyone that she was in high spirits; Si Lisao had surely cheered her up and pampered her over the past few days.

Si Lisao himself was majestic and composed, with an imposing aura that made him stand out from any crowd.

A man like that publicly declared on social dia that he would marry her even if she had health problems—what woman wouldn’t be ecstatic, practically floating on air? the ladies thought.

Indeed, many female guests at the banquet envied Ye Siyuan’s good fortune from the depths of their hearts.

Ye Shen, with Song Tangtang on his arm, also appeared in the banquet hall. The newlyweds were clearly deeply in love and affectionate.

Song Tangtang also looked to be in excellent spirits, her face completely free of sorrow.

For these two young won, Ye Siyuan and Song Tangtang, the recent devastating events seed to have been re temporary trials. Now that the ordeal was past, they had returned to their normal lives, still happy and content.

Standing with a few of her close friends, discussing fashion and beauty, Geshu Xiang remarked disdainfully, "It’s one thing for the Second Princess, Ye Siyuan, to be marrying into Mu Continent. But Song Tangtang, that hen who can’t even lay eggs—how can she, with a clear conscience, continue to monopolize the Third Prince? Does she intend for the future rmaid lineage of Atlantis to go extinct?"
