Mrs. Ying said, "Yes, yes, Western doctors say the sa. But if you don’t let my husband drink, it’s like asking for his life. Crown Princess Consort, please have a serious talk with him. You’re a doctor; he might actually listen to you."

Si Mingjing, however, replied, "If Mr. Ying won’t even listen to his wife, there’s no way he’ll listen to a doctor like . In any case, I’ll prescribe the dicine. Whether Mr. Ying truly wants to get better depends on Mr. Ying himself."

After taking his pulse, Si Mingjing diagnosed Ying Qiao’s illness as liver stagnation, often caused by emotional depression and the stagnation of Qi in the liver.

It wasn’t hard to understand. After all, he was once a successful young man from a prominent family, a veritable child of fortune who could have anything he desired. However, after Mo Yinhe rose to power, the Ying family’s influence plumted, and they were repeatedly suppressed by him. Consequently, Ying Qiao naturally grew frustrated, his liver Qi beca congested, and he eventually turned to drinking to drown his sorrows.

It would have been strange if he hadn’t fallen ill after all that ti.

However, the illness wasn’t difficult to treat; what was essential was the patient’s ongoing self-care.

Si Mingjing prescribed a formula to soothe the liver, regulate Qi, resolve phlegm, and dissipate blood stasis.

She did not linger in another family’s bedroom. His condition is straightforward, much like fatty liver; hospital treatnt would suffice. So why did the Ying family use their son’s connection to specifically request my help? Though inwardly puzzled, Si Mingjing showed no sign of it. After leaving the bedroom, she looked for Ye Nianbai, who was playing with Ying Xiaohei in the courtyard.

"Xiaobai, it’s ti to go."

"Jingjing, can’t we play a little longer?" Ye Nianbai was thoroughly enjoying himself with Ying Xiaohei and didn’t want to leave just yet.

"Xiaobai’s mom, can my dad’s illness be cured?" Ying Xiaohei, though just a child, spoke with the gravity of an adult, affecting an air of precocious maturity, much like Xiaobai.

Si Mingjing reached out and ruffled Ying Xiaohei’s head, saying, "Your dad’s illness can be cured as long as he takes his dicine on ti and refrains from drinking. You’ll have to supervise your dad and make sure he stops drinking from now on."

Ying Xiaohei rembered this, patting his small chest and saying, "Xiaobai’s mom, I’ll keep that in mind!"

Mrs. Ying ca out to invite Si Mingjing to stay for lunch.

Si Mingjing said, "No, thank you. I’m taking Xiaobai to the Royal Palace to eat with his dad."

"Then I won’t keep the Crown Princess Consort any longer. Here is a thank-you gift for you."

Mrs. Ying held out a gift box; it appeared to be a present rather than money.

Si Mingjing naturally charged a consultation fee, so she accepted it readily. As she left, holding Ye Nianbai’s hand, she said to Mrs. Ying, "Mrs. Ying, I hope this is the last ti."

The words were spoken sowhat cryptically, leaving Mrs. Ying rather embarrassed.

Mrs. Ying understood. Si Mingjing ant that using a child’s connection to gain access like this should not happen again.

Unable to maintain her composure, Mrs. Ying nodded. Leading her son Ying Xiaohei, she escorted Si Mingjing to the courtyard. They watched her board the submarine and waved from below as the vessel surged through the waterproof barrier and departed the Ying estate.

Sitting inside the submarine, Ye Nianbai tilted his little head, looking serious. "Jingjing, was it troubling for you to treat Xiaohei’s dad?"

Ye Nianbai was unsure if he had done sothing wrong and was reflecting on his actions.

Si Mingjing stroked Xiaobai’s head and replied, "Jingjing wasn’t troubled."

"But Jingjing, you told Xiaohei’s mom that it wouldn’t happen again."

Ye Nianbai was a very smart child.

Si Mingjing couldn’t hide anything from him. With a smile, she pinched the shiny little Dragon Horns atop his head and said, "Mommy doesn’t want anyone to take advantage of you. But it’s okay; treating people doesn’t make uncomfortable. It’s just that... well, maybe Mommy and your classmate’s parents had so history. They might still care about it, but Mommy has already forgotten all about that."

"Oh, Jingjing, Little Master won’t let others use connections anymore!" Ye Nianbai declared with great seriousness.

Si Mingjing pinched his cheek. "Co on, let’s go find Daddy."

However, after the submarine had been moving for a while, Song Yuan suddenly said, "Your Majesty the Queen, the submarine is experiencing electromagnetic interference."

Si Mingjing narrowed her eyes. "Can’t it move anymore?"

Song Yuan replied, "Not exactly. Let check the situation." He began operating the control panel.

"No need," Si Mingjing interjected. "Keep going."

She then activated her ring-phone, trying to call Mo Yinhe, only to find that the call wouldn’t connect; there was no signal.

Her eyes narrowed slightly. She heard Ye Nianbai straighten up, his small body adopting a serious posture as he asked, "Jingjing, are bad people trying to harm us?"

"Who said that?" Si Mingjing retorted, though she couldn’t help but think, Truthfully, I’m the one who walked us into this danger.

Si Mingjing then asked, "Are you scared?"

Ye Nianbai shook his head, his little face full of heroic spirit. "Jingjing, Little Master will protect you! With Little Master here, Jingjing doesn’t need to be afraid!"

Si Mingjing paused, then broke into a smile. "Good. With Xiaobai protecting Jingjing, Jingjing isn’t afraid."

Before she had finished speaking, a huge submarine suddenly appeared overhead. It was more than ten tis the size of their small one. Its hatch opened from below, and in an instant, it sucked up the little submarine they were in.

Everything happened too quickly. Song Yuan and the other guards couldn’t react in ti; they had already fallen into enemy hands.

Song Yuan frowned deeply. "Your Majesty the Queen, the submarine experienced electromagnetic interference! We didn’t detect this other submarine in ti. Damn it, we’re trapped like fish in a barrel!"

"It’s alright," Si Mingjing said, her expression calm.

After their small submarine was sucked into the larger one, Song Yuan and a few guards exited their vessel. However, as soon as the hatch opened, a strange odor assailed them. Realizing sothing was wrong, Song Yuan and the guards imdiately covered their noses, but it was too late.

The bizarre odor was overwhelmingly potent; the mont it entered their nostrils, their heads would begin to spin.

In the blink of an eye, the guards, each capable of fending off a hundred n, all collapsed to the ground.

Si Mingjing gave Ye Nianbai a subtle glance. He imdiately understood, rolled his eyes, and slumped into her arms.

Following that, Si Mingjing also closed her eyes. Before they shut completely, she seed to make a subconscious motion to hold Ye Nianbai securely in her embrace.

Si Mingjing closed her eyes and listened intently. Soon, she heard footsteps approaching.

It wasn’t just one person; there were probably seven or eight people.

A voice nearby exclaid excitedly, "Get Ajiu out of there for ! Be gentle, don’t hurt her!"

Si Mingjing’s mory was extraordinary; she could identify people by voice alone. That voice... Qu Gaoyang?

If not for his missing arm, Qu Gaoyang himself would have dived into the submarine to lift Si Mingjing out.

"Damn it! I told you to get Ajiu out! Why did you bring the kid too? This Crown Prince doesn’t want to see Mo Yinhe’s spawn!" Qu Gaoyang cursed.

"Sir, even unconscious, this woman is holding the child tightly. We’ve tried, but we can’t separate them."
