It was the traditional Chinese dicine prepared by Si Mingjing, combined with the efforts of the top team Mo Yinhe had assembled, that reduced Ye Jingzhe’s fever!

After noticing so improvent, Si Mingjing felt she was on the right track and continuously adjusted the dication dosage.

Two more days passed, and Ye Jingzhe’s complexion improved even further.

He was already able to get out of bed and walk around!

My prescription was correct! Si Mingjing knew it.

She imdiately sent the treatnt plan, which combined traditional Chinese dicine with Western dical therapy, to Si Lisao because Prince Bo was also ill.

Si Lisao faced an even more severe epidemic in Shendu.

Not only was Prince Bo ill, but in just over ten days, three thousand people had died in Shendu.

Tens of thousands more were in hospitals, isolated according to the severity and urgency of their conditions.

Across the entire Mu Continent, public resentnt was boiling.

There were even rumors that this swift and fierce epidemic was because soone had angered the heavens, which had then unleashed divine punishnt.

As for who had angered the heavens, people whispered amongst themselves without naming nas, but those in the know had a pretty good idea.

The rumors sohow reached Old Madam Bai’s ears.

Old Madam Bai was playing mahjong with several old friends when she heard it from one of them. She was so infuriated that she slamd down her tiles and exclaid, "Nonsense! Who in the world is spouting such absurdities!"

Her card-playing friends imdiately fell silent. Seeing that Old Madam Bai was no longer in the mood to play, they made their excuses one by one and left the Bai residence.

One of these friends, Old Madam Wang, was the last to leave. On her way out, she encountered Bai Danfeng.

Kind-hearted Old Madam Wang, upon seeing Bai Danfeng, consoled her, "Danfeng, go and talk to your mother. These are just baseless rumors; don’t take them to heart, and you shouldn’t worry too much either. It’s mainly because the epidemic has worsened so rapidly that it’s driven people to panic, inevitably leading so to let their imaginations run wild."

Bai Danfeng looked completely bewildered. "Auntie Wang, what happened?"

"You don’t know yet?"

Old Madam Wang observed Bai Danfeng’s face; her utter bewildernt indicated she was completely unaware.

Old Madam Wang leaned in closer and whispered, "With the recent outbreak of the epidemic and so many deaths, people in Shendu have started saying that soone angered the heavens, and that’s why this divine punishnt has been inflicted on the Mu Continent. They even say that the volcanic eruption in Shendu on the day Her Majesty the Queen ascended the throne was a warning, but nobody heeded it. Instead, everyone lauded the Queen for her love and care for her people, which only further provoked the heavens’ fury..."

Bai Danfeng’s expression instantly turned stern. She fud, "What fury of the heavens? These are blatant fabrications! My daughter is the Saintess of the Mu Continent!"

"Oh, don’t be angry, you’re absolutely right. I also admire Her Majesty the Queen. Don’t be upset, don’t be upset. Hurry in to calm your mother down; I can tell she’s very annoyed!" Old Madam Wang said.

Having said her piece, Old Madam Wang hastily left the Bai residence.

The more Bai Danfeng thought about it, the angrier she beca. How could such a thing have happened again?

Having experienced the harshness of society, Bai Danfeng had beco savvy. Could this be another of her sister’s sches?

In prison, Bai Chuanfeng saw a news report, and the corners of her mouth slowly curved upward in anger, revealing a faint, sinister arc.

Finally... finally, the mont has co!

The last ti the volcano erupted, it was all sound and fury, having no effect on Si Mingjing. Instead, it gave Si Mingjing a chance to showcase herself and establish a benevolent public image. Bai Chuanfeng had been so furious she couldn’t sleep for days. Now, with such a dangerous epidemic, I’d like to see how she handles it!

Bai Chuanfeng applied to visit the funeral parlor to see her daughter one last ti. Because she would soon be sent to Prison Star, the police agreed to her request.

Guards watched from outside as Bai Chuanfeng was allowed to enter alone.

She stood before Bai Qingshui’s portrait, patiently wiping it clean. With each stroke, her gaze was determined. She whispered, "Wait for , Qingshui. Mother will avenge you."

Bai Chuanfeng stared intently at Bai Qingshui’s portrait, as if she saw Bai Qingshui finally smiling back at her from the image.

Her fingertips gently traced the corners of her daughter’s eyes on the portrait, recalling how she had raised her through such hardship, how she had sched to place the Bai family’s legacy in her hands. But in the end, it was all for nothing. Her son was gone, her daughter was gone, leaving only the Bai Group!

What good was it?

The coldness in Bai Chuanfeng’s eyes was so intense it seed she wished the whole world would join her daughter in burial.

At that mont, a man walked in from behind—it was the Priest from the Dragon King Temple in Shendu.

Every city on the Mu Continent had a Dragon King Temple, and where there was a temple, there was a Priest. All local Priests were subordinate to the High Priest of the Imperial Capital’s Dragon King Temple.

This Priest of Shendu’s Dragon King Temple, surnad Zhang, was called Zhang Jisi. He was a young man, over thirty years old.

After Zhang Jisi walked in, he stood behind Bai Chuanfeng. His eyes, too, landed on Bai Qingshui’s image, filled with an undeniable sorrow.

Bai Qingshui was the woman Zhang Jisi loved. Now, with her death, Zhang Jisi was likely the most grief-stricken, aside from Bai Chuanfeng.

Upon hearing footsteps, Bai Chuanfeng turned around, looked at Zhang Jisi, and asked, "Zhang Jisi, have you co to visit Qingshui too?"

"Yes, Mrs. Bai. I ca to the Imperial Capital to report to the High Priest and took the opportunity to visit Qingshui. I’ll have to rush back to Shendu in two hours."

"It’s kind of you to still rember Qingshui," Bai Chuanfeng said with a bitter smile. "After her death, she was scorned by everyone, and to this day, she has found no peace. If Priest Zhang could help my daughter rest in peace, the Bai Family would be imnsely grateful."

Zhang Jisi said, "Madam, I have been conducting rites for Qingshui every day."

Bai Chuanfeng’s expression was one of deep sorrow. "What good does rely conducting rites do? The ones who hard her are still wreaking havoc in the world; Qingshui cannot rest in peace. This child’s fate was too harsh. She sacrificed herself for the Mu Continent, yet in the end, she was spurned by all."

"What happened?" Zhang Jisi’s expression turned grave.

Then, Bai Chuanfeng recounted the tragic tale to Zhang Jisi: how Si Lisao had intentionally released Bai Qingshui to prove Si Mingjing was not the reincarnation of the Saintess, only for Bai Qingshui to be devoured by a Giant Shark privately raised by the Huo Family. Bai Chuanfeng narrated this with subtle condemnation, leaving Zhang Jisi seething with anger.

"Zhang Jisi, I’m not joking," Bai Chuanfeng continued. "Qingshui truly didn’t die by divine retribution but by preditation. These past few days, I have thoroughly investigated the whole affair. Qingshui’s death was so tragic. The real threat to the Mu Continent is the current Queen. As long as she remains free, she will bring even greater calamities to the Mu Continent."

"Because I knew this truth, they frad and locked up. Now, they’re sending to Prison Star as an act of silencing."

Zhang Jisi reacted with disbelief. Bai Chuanfeng laid the evidence before him. After reviewing it, Zhang Jisi confird the evidence was authentic and beca incensed.
