Afterward, she returned to the Song Family villa. It was the villa her mother had purchased, and she had said she wanted to reclaim it. Now that everyone was gone, only a few servants waiting to settle their wages remained.

The servants no longer wanted to work but couldn’t find anyone to pay them their outstanding wages. So, they called Si Mingjing, hoping she could settle their accounts.

Si Mingjing gave them a sum of money, adding an extra three months’ salary, and dismissed all the servants.

In the evening, the servant who usually picked up Song Tiantian from kindergarten brought the child back, handed her to Si Mingjing, completed their final task, and then left with their bag.

"Crown Princess Consort, what should we do with this child?" Fengjue asked her.

Si Mingjing looked at Song Tiantian.

"Big sister?" Song Tiantian asked, confused and scared.

A bandage was on the little girl’s forehead.

Si Mingjing’s heart softened. She asked the child, "What happened?"

Song Tiantian let out a WAH! and burst into tears, as if she had suffered a great injustice, sobbing too hard to speak clearly.

Si Mingjing knew Song Tiantian’s horoom teacher, Ms. Wei, who had once been frad by Song Tiantian’s mother. Si Mingjing had her WeChat contact.

She called to ask about the situation.

Ms. Wei said, "These past few days, the news has been filled with stories about Tiantian’s parents. In the parents’ chat group, they’re saying they can’t tolerate a murderer’s daughter being in the sa class as their children. I can’t get ahold of the child’s guardian... Miss Si, the school is under a lot of pressure right now."

Other parents were demanding Song Tiantian’s expulsion, putting a lot of pressure on the school. This was especially true for Mrs. Lu, the president’s daughter-in-law.

Hearing their parents’ words, the children would inevitably reject Song Tiantian, causing conflicts with her at school.

Si Mingjing understood. This is how society is, harsh and unforgiving.

If Song Tiantian stayed in the Imperial Capital of A Country, she would be rejected by other parents no matter which kindergarten she attended. It would be just like when Si Mingjing herself first arrived on Earth—unable to live in peace.

The Imperial Capital of A Country had no place for Song Tiantian.

Si Mingjing frowned and said, "I understand. Starting tomorrow, she won’t be going to school."

"Miss Si, I’m really sorry," Ms. Wei said.

Si Mingjing hung up the phone. She took Song Tiantian back to the Ye Family and temporarily entrusted her to the butler’s care.

After dinner, the butler took the child away. Mo Yinhe then asked her, "What do you plan to do with this child?"

"I’ll take her to Xingguang Island and find a kind family willing to adopt. She can change her na and live a normal child’s life."

"Alright, I’ll help you look into it and see if there’s a suitable family."

They both harbored kindness towards children. Especially after becoming parents themselves, they couldn’t bear to see a child suffer.

The Song family might be terrible, but the child is innocent.

Mo Yinhe reached out and touched her forehead. The warmth from his palm spread to her skin; it was still slightly hot.

He pulled her into his arms, cradling her on his lap. He knew she was lancholic, not having fully co to terms with Si Yao’s death. Yet, social ethics and morality lood over her like an immovable mountain, preventing her from seeking revenge.

"Mommy, Brother said there will be a teor shower tonight! What’s a teor shower? Liangliang has never seen one. Have you, Mommy?"

Sheng Liangliang ran in from outside, toddling up to them, her excited little voice soft and sweet.

"Yes, I’ve seen them."

On Prison Star, Si Mingjing had often seen teor showers.

Liangliang, having lived Undersea, had never seen a teor shower and was very curious. "Brother said that if you make a wish on a teor shower, it will co true! Liangliang wants to make a wish for Mommy to get well soon!"

The sweet child, like a warm little comforter, chased away the gloom in Si Mingjing’s heart. She patted Liangliang’s head.

"What constellation is the teor shower from?"

"Jingjing, it’s the Leonids! That’s what they’re saying on Weibo!"

Ye Nianbai was scrolling through Weibo and found the topic about the teor shower. Experts on a live broadcast were saying it was the biggest one of the year, and everyone online was excited.

"Jingjing, do you want to watch? This young master can keep you company, you know."

Si Mingjing nodded. "Yes."

She rembered watching teor showers as a child on Prison Star, snuggled in her mother’s arms. Her mother had also said that making a wish on a teor shower was very effective. The children’s words brought back cherished childhood mories. She wanted to watch the teor shower with them, hoping it would heal her heart, just as her mother watching with her had done back then.

Mo Yinhe took them to the rooftop to watch.

The night was enchanting, the evening breeze gentle.

The rooftop offered a great view, and the children were all excited.

Apart from Xiaobai, the other three children had never seen a teor shower. Like curious toddlers, they tilted their small heads up, full of anticipation.

"What’s taking so long, Rookie Bai? Are you tricking this prince?"

The little fatty had been waiting for a full twenty minutes. His small head was getting sore from looking up, and he still hadn’t seen the magical teor shower.

Ye Nianbai, looking serious like a little adult, said, "You need to be patient. Haste makes waste."

The little fatty grumbled, "This prince doesn’t even like hot tofu! This prince wants at!"

Mo Yinhe fetched a blanket, laid it on the ground, and brought over so pillows. This way, the children could lie on the blanket to wait for the teor shower without having to constantly crane their necks.

The four children rolled around on the blanket.

Soone farted, and the little fatty shot off faster than a rabbit.

"Rookie Bai, you farted! You stink! It’s killing this prince! Killing this prince!"

Ye Nianbai’s little face puffed up with anger. "It wasn’t this young master!"

"And it wasn’t this princess either!" Sheng Liangliang declared guiltily, her voice louder than anyone else’s.

Only Yun Xiaosu blinked her large, innocent eyes, their lashes fluttering.

Si Mingjing, sitting in a chair nearby, laughed and buried her head in Mo Yinhe’s embrace. They say life is full of earthy realities, but these little ones are just too cute!

Mo Yinhe laughed too, holding Si Mingjing’s hand.

The warmth from his palm seeped into hers, a sensation she found herself craving.

Si Mingjing leaned against Mo Yinhe’s shoulder. His shoulders were broad and solid, offering comfort. The faint scent of Zhanlong Fragrance on him made the night feel particularly magical.

"WOW! Look, look, the teor shower!"

The still-pouting Ye Nianbai looked up and saw a teor streak across the sky, trailing a long, glittering tail.

Then another followed, even more brilliant.

Ye Nianbai reminded them, "Quick, make a wish! It’s super effective!"

The four little dragon cubs, in unison, clasped their hands, pressing their arms against their chests so their joined hands were near their chins and lips.

Then they closed their eyes to make their wishes.

Ye Nianbai wished, "teor, teor, this young master commands you: make Jingjing better quickly, or this young master will extinguish you!"

Sheng Liangliang wished, "This princess wants Mommy to feel better by tomorrow morning, got it? You have to hear this princess’s wish!"

Yun Xiaosu wished, "This princess doesn’t want Mommy to be sick, ever! This princess can eat two fewer ice creams every day... No, three!"

Gu Shurong wished, "Bless this prince so I can eat at every day! Bless this prince so I can feed Big Brother at every day! Bless Mommy so she eats at and doesn’t get sick! Bless Daddy so he eats at and can make Mommy not get sick!"
