The car completely fell silent, a silence that was extrely oppressive.
Even without turning back, Dong Xin Yan could feel Gu Ningyi’s icy sharp gaze, but at this mont, she had no mood to care about his emotions, nor the strength to deal with them.
She was already weak, and after repressing her tears earlier, she felt even more dizzy now, her head throbbing intensely, even finding it a bit difficult to breathe.

Gu Ningyi did not expect that the mont the car stopped, Dong Xin Yan would imdiately try to open the door and get out. He was montarily stunned, trying to say sothing, but then saw her suddenly collapse. He didn’t have ti to think, instinctively extending his arm, catching her waist with a slight exertion of force, pulling her limp body into his embrace, preventing her from falling.
Once her petite body was securely fixed in his arms, Gu Ningyi unconsciously let out a sigh of relief.
The driver in the front, Uncle Li, turned back with a worried question, "Young master, is everything alright?"
"It’s fine."
Gu Ningyi replied blandly without looking at him.
Uncle Li nodded, then turned his gaze to Dong Xin Yan in Gu Ningyi’s arms. Her cheeks were redder than before, presumably burning up heavily, and it couldn’t be delayed any longer, so he said, "Young master, I think Miss Dong looks very uncomfortable, we should take her in quickly."
Gu Ningyi’s dark eyes lowered, his gaze falling on Dong Xin Yan’s face.
