However, Dong Xin Yan didn't turn to leave with any sense of pride, instead she headed toward the coffee table, picked up a small notebook resting on it, tore out a sheet of paper, grabbed a pen, and quickly scribbled a few lines on it, then walked back and slapped the paper heavily onto the bar counter.

Dong Xin Yan's big, clear eyes stared straight at Gu Ningyi, saying, "Three months, right? Fine, I agree, but you must sign here."

She can't foolishly trust him again. Since it's a deal, it should be written in black and white, so that if he reneges, she won't be left without a recourse.

Gu Ningyi glanced at the paper, noticing it docunted a three-month agreent, and a trace of amusent flitted through his eyes.

Knowing this woman for so long, he never realized she had such a naive side. This contract, without any legal binding power, what could it possibly constrain him from?

But since she wanted to sign, he didn't mind. After all, he rely wanted to keep her by his side long enough to figure out why she felt so strangely familiar.

"Pen." Gu Ningyi spoke, concise and direct.

Dong Xin Yan was stunned for a second, realizing Gu Ningyi had agreed so readily; she thought he would continue giving her a hard ti.

But this was better, saving her the trouble of arguing.

Dong Xin Yan quickly handed the pen to Gu Ningyi, who took it and elegantly signed his na on the paper, his writing as strong and graceful as he was.

Dong Xin Yan picked up the paper, looking at the signed agreent, feeling a little more at ease. Would she not know this contract was just a blank piece of paper to Gu Ningyi? But... if he dared break the agreent in three months, she'd shalessly go straight to Uncle Gu and Aunt Gu in the old mansion to demand an explanation.

Dong Xin Yan thought as she folded the paper like a treasure and tucked it away, then she reminded again, "Gu Ningyi, after three months, you must release Ziyang, otherwise, I..."

"As my woman, the first thing to rember is, never ntion another man's na in my presence, especially Cheng Ziyang's na."

Gu Ningyi interrupted Dong Xin Yan abruptly, his voice lazy yet carrying an inexplicable intimidation.

Be his woman...? Who wants to be his woman?

Dong Xin Yan found it amusing, instinctively retorting, "Gu Ningyi, aren't you overstepping? Besides, I'm not your woman!"

Gu Ningyi curled his lips with a wicked smile, suddenly reached out, clasped her neck, pressing her head towards his face, his lips moved close to her ear, thin lips parted, with a lazy yet ambiguous voice, "Are you not my woman... do we need to verify again?"

His hot breath spilled near her ear, and Dong Xin Yan couldn't help but tremble, mories from last night involuntarily flashed through her mind, her face whitened as if scalded, swiftly straightening up and reflexively stepping back two steps.

She rejected all of Gu Ningyi's advances, and she loathed his proximity.

Her evasive posture was too direct, too obvious, Gu Ningyi's dark eyes rapidly darkened, his gaze icy and sharp.

Dong Xin Yan then realized she might have overreacted; for soone as arrogant as Gu Ningyi, he wouldn't tolerate rejection from others, and at this mont, she couldn't afford to offend him.

Just as she was about to say sothing to nd the situation, she heard Gu Ningyi's deep voice, "You can go."
