Dong Xin Yan hugged her legs, slowly raised her little head, and her big eyes glistened with tears. With a blink, tears rolled down from the corner of her eyes as she pitifully pouted, "It hurts."
Gu Ningyi’s hand clenched slightly, his voice extrely cold and hard, "Where does it hurt?"
"Everywhere," Dong Xin Yan said with a blend of complaint and grievance, tears flowing even more fervently.
A woman’s tears have always been the most potent weapon. The woman before him, with teary eyes and a hoarse, aggrieved voice, touched even the hardest hearts.
Although Gu Ningyi’s handso face remained tense, his tone softened a bit, "Can you get up?"
