The night is deep and quiet.

Mrs. Gu was sleeping, and suddenly she jolted awake, her entire body trembling as her eyes snapped open.

Mrs. Gu’s breath was slightly erratic, her gaze filled with emptiness. She stared blankly at the ceiling for a long while before her breathing gradually cald down.

She turned her face, looking at her husband sleeping soundly beside her. She took a deep breath, lifted the blanket, quietly got up, put on a coat, and left the bedroom.

Nanny Zhang was also about to return to her room to rest. Seeing her suddenly co out with a not-so-good expression, she asked in surprise, "Madam, why are you awake? Are you feeling unwell?"

Mrs. Gu didn’t answer, just said faintly, "Pour a cup of tea."

Nanny Zhang hesitated a bit, "Madam, it’s so late..."

"Go."

"Yes."

Nanny Zhang quickly made the tea and brought it to the living room, placing it in front of Mrs. Gu.

Mrs. Gu, who was always elegant in her manners, appeared sowhat lost tonight, directly picking up the tea with one hand and pouring it into her mouth, not caring if it burned her.

Nanny Zhang had been Mrs. Gu’s wet nurse, staying by her side from the mont she was born until now, practically half a daughter to her. Seeing her like this, she knew there must be sothing weighing on her mind.

She thought for a mont and gently said, "Madam, are you worried about Master and Miss Dong?"

After Zhou Yalin left that day, she imdiately ordered an investigation into all interactions between Gu Ningyi and Dong Xin Yan over this period. What she found was truly shocking.

She actually knew that over the years, the connection between Gu Ningyi and Dong Xin Yan had never ceased. Her son was always circling around Dong Xin Yan.

She wasn’t unconcerned, but their interactions were only limited to that. Her son even disliked Dong Xin Yan very much. So gradually, she relaxed and stopped paying attention to this matter.

After all, doing too much, too obviously, only arouses suspicion.

She never expected that her negligence would reach such an extent.

Today, the private detective had thoroughly investigated and detailed all contacts and interactions between Gu Ningyi and Dong Xin Yan over the past six months, including their intense public kiss in the lobby of the Gu Group building yesterday.

The mont she saw the photos, her heart pounded furiously, and her face turned pale rapidly.

She never imagined that after all these years, despite both having new lives and new partners, they could still end up together.

And Dong Xin Yan, just the daughter of a driver, had shalessly seduced her son back then, and now she was repeating her old tricks.

Absolutely shaless!

The more Mrs. Gu thought, the angrier she beca. Her eyes grew darker and her entire aura turned extrely cold.

There was no need for her to answer; Nanny Zhang already understood. Looking at Mrs. Gu’s face, she couldn’t help but say, "Madam, you don’t need to worry too much. You have already clearly spoken to Miss Zhou about everything. Miss Zhou is a smart person; she’ll know what to do."

"That girl Zhou Yalin is more trouble than she’s worth. I really can’t be at ease."

Mrs. Gu snorted coldly, then raised her eyes to look at Nanny Zhang, saying in a deep voice, "Tomorrow, have soone keep a close watch on Zhou Yalin for , and urge her to act quickly. I can’t wait another mont."
