He stood there motionless, watching Dong Xin Yan holding onto a man called Ziyang, as they laughed and talked together, walking away, with Dong Xin Yan’s bell-like laughter still audible from afar.

An unknown rage filled his heart; he thought about how this past year, he had lived in such darkness and depression due to his blindness, while Dong Xin Yan seed to be living so comfortably and happily.

She had beco prettier, more energetic, could even do makeup, wear skirts, and had... found a boyfriend.

His dark eyes deepened, and the light within them dimd instantly.

Seeing soone he had always disliked doing so well... was truly an unpleasant thing.

As for why it felt unpleasant... he had never figured it out.

Half a month later, he also transferred to this university, into Dong Xin Yan’s departnt, in the sa class as her.

He could never forget the expression on Dong Xin Yan’s face when he walked into that classroom, sitting there in a chair, looking so astonished, so shocked, so incredulous.

While all the girls in the class were quietly discussing how handso he was, only Dong Xin Yan wore a look as if she was mourning a deceased parent, as if it were the end of the world.

Gu Ningyi knew that Dong Xin Yan didn’t want to see him, but the more she didn’t want to see him, the more he wanted to appear in front of her, the more he wanted to linger in her sight.

At this ti, Dong Xin Yan didn’t really oppose him much, basically enduring when she could, and leaving when she couldn’t bear it.

And after all, university wasn’t like middle or high school; even if they were in the sa class, it didn’t an they’d see each other all the ti. In university, sotis even when there were classes, they might not et, let alone when there were no classes.

Most importantly, Dong Xin Yan was no longer like before, where she had to follow him closely, whether she wanted to or not.

Gu Ningyi felt like punching a pillow, going with great enthusiasm, but returning defeated.

Later, one day unintentionally, Cheng Ziyang accompanied Dong Xin Yan to class, the two sitting far away in the back corner of the classroom.

Gu Ningyi sat on the other side, staring coldly at the two of them sitting close together, whispering to each other.

He looked at Dong Xin Yan’s gentle eyebrows, sweet smile, feeling extrely irritated, why did she act all indifferent and fierce in front of him?

Then he looked at Cheng Ziyang; it was his second ti seeing him, the first ti being a quick glance at the school gate, which he didn’t pay much attention to, but this ti he looked carefully.

Thin build, clearly soone who has never worked out, definitely the type who couldn’t lift or carry anything, a delicate bookworm with no masculinity at all. He couldn’t understand what Dong Xin Yan saw in him.

So, despite becoming so beautiful now, what was the point? Her taste in n was so poor.

The next day in class, he sat right next to her, and for once rare kind-heartedly offered advice, speaking with a ’sincere’ tone he had never used, saying that a man like Cheng Ziyang, so skinny and frail, couldn’t protect her, and with a body that frail, he probably wouldn’t be able to satisfy her physically either, so it’d be best to find a replacent sooner.

Before he could finish speaking, the textbook in Dong Xin Yan’s hand suddenly slamd into his face hard, and then, she said coldly, "Gu Ningyi, shut up!"
