The icy sea breeze whipped around, but it couldn’t match the coldness of her body.
Dong Xin Yan stood there, her black pupils suddenly contracting, unable to believe what she had heard. She opened her mouth, taking quite a while to find her voice, trembling fiercely, "You, you..."
She almost searched through every insulting word in her mind, but perhaps out of anger, she could only bite her teeth and spat out four words, "Despicable and shaless!"
Though she had always known that Gu Ningyi was not a good person, she never expected him to be so despicable.
The transaction had clearly ended; he had already gotten what he wanted, and she had given up what was precious to her. Yet now, he still wouldn’t let her go and even threatened her further?
"Despicable and shaless?"
Gu Ningyi lazily repeated those words, suddenly stood up, and walked towards her with long strides, step by step.
Though Dong Xin Yan was full of anger, deep down she couldn’t help but feel afraid of him. She didn’t want to show her cowardice, but as he approached step by step, she unconsciously took two steps back.
Her chin was suddenly gripped by a force before she could react, her face forcibly lifted, and her dark eyes t Gu Ningyi’s.
His dark eyes were deep, as always, unfathomable, revealing no emotion, yet inexplicably frightening.
He stared at her for a few seconds, the corner of his mouth twisting into a wicked smile, his thin lips parting gently, "Dong Xin Yan, you’ve known for so long, did you just realize now that I am despicable and shaless?"
Dong Xin Yan was blocked by Gu Ningyi’s words, a breath caught painfully in her heart, and her cheeks flushed furiously.
Gu Ningyi lightly pinched her chin, his gaze indifferently resting on her face, as if admiring her irritation. As he looked, he suddenly lowered his head.
His handso face abruptly approached, causing Dong Xin Yan’s heart to jolt; reflexively, she tried to shrink back, but her chin was clasped, unable to move. Furrowing her delicate brows, she could only turn her face forcefully to the side.
Gu Ningyi’s movents paused briefly, sothing swiftly flitting through his dark eyes, and the curve of his lips stalled. Yet he did not release Dong Xin Yan but instead leaned closer.
But instead of doing what Dong Xin Yan thought he might, he leaned in towards her ear.
His cool and low voice sounded, with a coldness like the wind brushing past her ear, chilling Dong Xin Yan to her core.
"Didn’t you say I was threatening you? Dong Xin Yan, this... is what a threat really is!"
To speak threatening words so righteously, Dong Xin Yan’s dark eyes widened slightly, laughing in anger.
"Gu Ningyi, there was once a ti when I thought maybe you weren’t as bad as I imagined, perhaps I had misunderstood you all along. But it turns out, I wasn’t wrong about you!"
The long-suppressed anger swelled to a critical point, boiling within her body, uncontrollable. She didn’t know where the sudden burst of strength ca from as she abruptly raised her hand and forcefully shoved Gu Ningyi away.
Gu Ningyi was caught off guard, pushed back several steps by her. As he lifted his gaze, he saw her completely enraged little face, and... the undisguised loathing and rejection between her brows.
"Besides threats, what else do you know? It was like this last ti, and it’s the sa now. But Gu Ningyi, let tell you, this ti, I will absolutely not agree with you!"
