Dong Xin Yan’s heart raced faster and faster, her breath involuntarily held as she tiptoed to the door, peeking through the peephole. Only when she saw that familiar face did her tense body finally relax.
It was Ziyang, not Gu Ningyi!
She raised her hand to wipe the cold sweat off her forehead, took a gentle breath, and opened the door.
"Ziyang, you ca..." Before she could finish her sentence, the man outside suddenly opened his arms and hugged Dong Xin Yan tightly.
Dong Xin Yan was stunned for a good ten seconds before she ca back to her senses. She turned her face slightly, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
Cheng Ziyang said nothing, only held her tighter, as if trying to embed her into his body, to make her part of his very bones and blood.
Ziyang hugged so tightly that Dong Xin Yan found it hard to breathe. She couldn’t help but lightly push him with her hand, "Ziyang, you’re hugging too tight, I feel uncomfortable."
Cheng Ziyang loosened his grip slightly but still held onto her. His chin rested on her shoulder, gently nudging, his voice extrely low and hoarse, "Xinxin, don’t speak, let hold you for a while, just for a while."
Dong Xin Yan had never heard such a tone from Cheng Ziyang, filled with utter helplessness and exhaustion, and hidden... deep anxiety and fear.
Her eyes reflected a tinge of worry, her red lips moved slightly, but in the end, she suppressed the urge to question, quietly letting him hold her.

He would never forget how, so ti ago, she dreamt every night, recalling bit by bit the past between her and Gu Ningyi, each ti she told him about her dreams, how much his heart panicked, how much he feared.
He was terrified that one day she might start dreaming again, start rembering, start telling him that her mories seed wrong. He didn’t know if, by then, he would still be able to handle it.
Cheng Ziyang’s eyes flickered, his hands clenched tightly, then slowly released as he took a deep breath and spoke in a hoarse voice, "Xinxin, let’s leave here tomorrow."
Away from all this, away from Gu Ningyi, maybe then her mories could truly be sealed forever.
"What?" Dong Xin Yan didn’t expect Cheng Ziyang to suddenly speak, not quite catching his words.
Cheng Ziyang released Dong Xin Yan, holding her shoulders with both hands, lowered his dark eyes, fixated on her, and seriously repeated, "I said, let’s leave here tomorrow."
Dong Xin Yan was montarily stunned, then rembered sothing and smiled, "Oh, you’re talking about our trip, right?"
Cheng Ziyang’s dark eyes dimd further. He wasn’t just talking about a short trip, he wanted to take her away forever, far away from here.
But that was too sudden, she might not be able to accept it, perhaps using a trip as an excuse to leave first would be good.
