It was clearly just a dream, but the deep sorrow in that girl’s heart seed to transmit to her; she also felt heartache and suffocation, like a huge hand was strangling her neck. She couldn’t breathe.
So uncomfortable...
Help, soone save her, quickly save her!
"Xinxin, wake up, Xinxin, quickly wake up." Suddenly, a series of anxious calls filled with deep concern rang in her ears, "Xinxin, wake up, you’re just having a nightmare, don’t be afraid!"
"Help, save ..."
"Xinxin, wake up!" The voice in her ears grew louder, and then she felt sothing warm covering her face, gently patting her.
His gentle voice, like a beam of light forcefully piercing through the darkness, rescued her from the beast-like trap.
The suffocating feeling gradually disappeared, the voice in her ear started to beco clear, and Dong Xin Yan’s tightly furrowed brows slowly relaxed, her long eyelashes trembling lightly, her eyes slowly opened.
A nightmare, making her feel as though ages had passed, she stared blankly, her consciousness still in a daze.
Cheng Ziyang, seeing Dong Xin Yan finally awake, couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. When he had co in earlier and saw her lying on the bed pale, calling out for help in distress and pain, his heart clenched tightly.
In all these years, he had never seen Dong Xin Yan having any nightmares; it was the first ti seeing her so tornted because of a nightmare.
He sat by the bed, trying to wake her, but she seed to be deeply trapped in this nightmare, growing more and more painful.
What dream did she have, to be so afraid?
"Xinxin, are you okay?"
Cheng Ziyang gently wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, pushing her hair aside, his voice extrely soft and gentle, as if afraid to startle her.
Dong Xin Yan remained dazed for quite a while, her dark eyes moved stiffly and slowly looked at Cheng Ziyang.
Her gaze still carried a hint of confusion, unfocused, although she was looking at him, she seed unable to recognize who he was for a mont.
Cheng Ziyang did not rush her but patiently t her gaze until her vision gradually cleared, and his figure was imprinted in her eyes.
Dong Xin Yan’s red lips slowly moved, her voice hoarse, "Ziyang, you, why are you here?"
"I couldn’t reach you the last few days, got a bit worried, so I ca by to see if you were back." Cheng Ziyang answered concisely, then worriedly asked, "Xinxin, are you feeling better?"
"Mhm." Dong Xin Yan responded softly.
"That’s good." Cheng Ziyang let out a gentle breath, but seeing her complexion still sowhat pale, he tenderly caressed her face, his voice growing softer, "Xinxin, what dream did you have? Why were you so scared?"
What dream?
Dong Xin Yan opened her mouth to speak, but the sa strange phenonon from before happened again; the once clear and vivid dream in her mind started to blur and beco hazy.
Dong Xin Yan’s delicate brows knitted tightly, "Ziyang, it’s so strange, I clearly rembered the dream, but now it’s so vague."
Cheng Ziyang couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, "Dreams are like that, you think you rember them clearly, but upon waking, you forget. If you can forget it so quickly, then it’s not truly a scary dream. Don’t be afraid, okay?"
"No." Dong Xin Yan shook her head vigorously.
