The hospital room grew increasingly quiet, as if they could hear each other’s faint breathing. She really hadn’t... ever been so quietly alone with Gu Ningyi.
Not even before, or during those three months.
This feeling was sowhat unsettling, and a bit strange.
It seed that between them, it shouldn’t be so quiet.
Moreover, why did she vaguely feel an inexplicable illusion in her heart that this scene was sowhat familiar? As if... she’d seen it sowhere.
Dong Xin Yan subconsciously tried to think, but this ti, before she could even start, a sharp pain surged through her head. Dong Xin Yan’s face turned pale, and she almost couldn’t resist crying out in pain.

The once arrogant and extravagant young master was now sitting quietly in the ward, sitting there for a whole day. His previously always radiant face was now left with nothing but a dead silence, his entire being wrapped in a thick loneliness.
It was as if his eyes had lost their light, and his heart... had also lost its light.
These days, having nothing much to do, she would occasionally, unconsciously, gaze at Gu Ningyi, watching his solitude and lancholy. Strangely, sothing deep inside her seed to be touched, inexplicably feeling heartache and discomfort.
She admitted that although she disliked Gu Ningyi, seeing his eyes beco like this, she still felt so sympathy for him. But it was just sympathy, why did she feel heartache and discomfort?
She couldn’t understand it, nor did she dare to think, because these days, her head often felt sharp pain, so she didn’t dare to think deeply about anything.
She thought this week would pass peacefully, but she never expected...

It was night.
Dong Xin Yan was drifting in and out of sleep when she suddenly heard a rustling sound.
She unconsciously opened her bleary eyes and, under the dim yellow bedside lamp, saw Gu Ningyi lifting the quilt and getting out of bed, slowly walking toward the bathroom.
She wasn’t too concerned; after all, Gu Ningyi could walk there himself. Just as she was about to close her eyes again, unexpectedly, Gu Ningyi suddenly bumped into a chair with a loud crash.
Dong Xin Yan was startled by the noise, her eyes suddenly wide open, then she saw Gu Ningyi tumbling forward, his black pupils contracting sharply. Without thinking, Dong Xin Yan imdiately rushed towards him.
