Dong Xin Yan got out of the car and ran forward in a few quick steps. As she approached, she saw Cheng Ziyang’s handso face flushed red from the cold, his whole body seemingly surrounded by a layer of chill. Her Heart suddenly filled with an intense ache. Looking at him, she found that her own voice carried a hint of tears, "You fool, it’s so cold. Why are you standing here all this ti? Didn’t I tell you to go ho first?"
Cheng Ziyang slowly raised a smile. Because of the cold, his voice was sowhat unsteady, "I’m fine, just very worried about you."
Tears flooded out uncontrollably.
Dong Xin Yan lowered her eyes, her throat felt blocked as if sothing was stuck there, and she couldn’t say a word.
Cheng Ziyang raised his hand, wanting to wipe her tears, but halfway up, he stopped. His hand was too cold; he didn’t want to make her cold. "Xinxin, don’t stand here. Let’s go inside."
Saying this, he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, embraced her, and walked towards the apartnt.
Once inside the apartnt, the warmth greeted them. Dong Xin Yan hurriedly let Cheng Ziyang sit on the sofa, then walked briskly into the kitchen to pour a glass of warm Water before returning.
When she returned to the hall, she saw Cheng Ziyang sitting there, staring at her suitcase placed aside, sowhat lost in thought.
Oh no!
Dong Xin Yan then rembered she had brought her luggage back to the apartnt today, placed the suitcase randomly, and left without tidying it up.
Unconsciously, Dong Xin Yan clenched the Water glass in her hand, her dark eyes slightly narrowed.
Although a suitcase doesn’t represent anything, she still felt guilty. However, if she explained it, it felt like a guilty conscience, so she thought for a mont and said nothing.
"Ziyang, have so Water." She approached from behind and handed the Water glass to Cheng Ziyang.
Cheng Ziyang returned to his senses, his gaze shifting from the suitcase to her face. He smiled slightly, then took the Water glass from her hand and took a sip.
Dong Xin Yan sat beside him, and only after seeing that his complexion slightly improved did she breathe a sigh of relief.
Perhaps it was because of the afternoon’s incident or the fact they hadn’t seen each other for three months, but for a mont, neither spoke, and the atmosphere was sowhat stagnant.
Dong Xin Yan hadn’t expected that even she and Ziyang would have a mont of silence between them. Deep down, she had so many things she wanted to say to him, but as she moved her lips, she didn’t know what to say.
Because, regarding the events of the past few months, she couldn’t tell him anything.
When Cheng Ziyang finished the Water, his thin lips parted slightly, breaking the silence, "Xinxin, how have you been these past few months?"
Cheng Ziyang didn’t imdiately ask about what just happened; Dong Xin Yan felt slightly relieved. She curved her lips and replied softly, "Mm, I’ve been quite well. How about you?"
Cheng Ziyang looked at him, his dark eyes seemingly filled with a thousand unsaid words. He slowly shook his head and said, "Not well."
"Because I couldn’t be by your side, because I made you worry, so I haven’t been well, not well at all!"
"Ziyang..."
Suddenly, Cheng Ziyang reached out and pulled Dong Xin Yan into a tight embrace, his voice slightly hoarse and whispering in her ear, "Xinxin, I’m sorry."
The tears that Dong Xin Yan had managed to stop started flowing again in an instant.
All the humiliation, grievance, sadness, and heartbreak she had endured over the three months seed to vanish along with those three words.
