Secretary Lin’s excited and thrilled mood continued until she arrived at the villa, where she was finally able to calm down a bit. After paying the cab fare, she stepped out with the gift box in her arms.
Dong Xin Yan was in the midst of fretting over the gown when she heard the doorbell ring.
Dong Xin Yan blinked her large, clear eyes, a strange look quickly flashing across them.
During her stay here, besides Gu Ningyi and the regular visits of the cleaning staff, no one else ever ca by, and they all had keys, so it was impossible for them to ring the doorbell.
So who could it be today?
Curious, Dong Xin Yan frowned slightly and walked over to the window, leaning over to see a slender figure standing at the door.

Dong Xin Yan hurriedly turned and went downstairs to the door, opening it.
As soon as the door opened, Secretary Lin smiled and warmly and respectfully greeted Dong Xin Yan, "Hello, Miss Dong."
Though Secretary Lin had always been kind to her, she had never been as respectful as she was now, leaving Dong Xin Yan montarily stunned before she blankly asked, "Secretary Lin, why are you here?"
With a smiling face, Secretary Lin passed the large gift box she was holding over, saying, "I’m here to deliver a package."
"Package?"
"Yes, Mr. Gu asked to bring this for you. It’s full of Mr. Gu’s heartfelt feelings for you~"
Dong Xin Yan was taken aback, "What?"
But Secretary Lin stopped there, unwilling to say more, only stating, "Miss Dong, you should see for yourself."
Dong Xin Yan had no choice but to reach out and take the large gift box, then slightly moved aside and said, "Secretary Lin, please co in for a seat."
"No need, mission accomplished, I have to get back to work." Secretary Lin quickly replied.
Given this, Dong Xin Yan couldn’t insist, so she smiled at Secretary Lin, "Then next ti we have a chance, let’s have a al together."
"Sure."
Secretary Lin readily agreed, after all, she had to build a good relationship with the future boss’s wife.
Before leaving, Secretary Lin couldn’t contain her overflowing emotions and mysteriously said to Dong Xin Yan, "Miss Dong, this is the first ti I’ve seen Mr. Gu be so serious, you must cherish it."

Dong Xin Yan stood there, watching Secretary Lin leave, and then retracted her gaze, her mind circling back to that sentence she said, filled with confusion.

After thinking for a while without understanding, Dong Xin Yan’s head started to throb painfully again out of habit, so she decided not to think about it anymore.
Cradling the gift box, she returned to her room, sat on the bed, and opened the box. Her eyes were instantly drawn to the items inside.

Although Dong Xin Yan had seen her fair share of the world, she was still deeply shocked by these items at the mont.
When she saw Secretary Lin holding the gift box earlier, she had guessed that Gu Ningyi might send her a gown, since she was his date for tonight, and if she dressed too plainly, it would embarrass him. But she never expected... he would go to such great lengths.
Was it really not just a loan for her to wear for one night?
Overwheld with shock, Dong Xin Yan instinctively pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
