As Dong Xin Yan was silently lanting to herself, Gu Ningyi finally spoke up. However, instead of the reprimand she expected, he simply asked, "Yesterday’s events, did you forget them all?"
Dong Xin Yan was taken aback for a mont. She had been anxiously waiting for Gu Ningyi to explode, but she never expected him to only ask this question.
Given what Dong Xin Yan knew about Gu Ningyi, he was usually straightforward. If she had angered him, he would have erupted imdiately. This questioning was not his usual style.
Perhaps... she hadn’t done anything wrong yesterday? Or maybe she did, but it wasn’t that serious?
Dong Xin Yan snuck a glance up, trying to read sothing from Gu Ningyi’s face. However, as soon as she lifted her eyes, she locked eyes with his dark gaze, which scared her into quickly lowering her eyes again.
But with her abilities, hoping to glean anything from Gu Ningyi’s face was futile. She’d be better off straining to rember.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tried, she could only recall fragnted, blurry snippets. They refused to piece together, and a sharp pain began to throb in her head, forcing Dong Xin Yan to give up.
Rubbing her head in frustration, Dong Xin Yan was about to honestly reply when sothing flickered through her mind. Her eyes brightened slightly, and while sneaking glances at Gu Ningyi, she responded, "I rember bits and pieces of yesterday. I sincerely apologized to you, and then... then you forgave ."
Even though she couldn’t recall anything, she could at least probe. Perhaps she really did apologize to Gu Ningyi while drunk. As for the forgiveness, that was just her wishful thinking.
If it could co true, it would be wonderful.
Listening to her words, an unidentifiable emotion flickered through Gu Ningyi’s eyes. When he realized he’d asked such a question, he found it amusing. Why was he asking Dong Xin Yan if she rembered yesterday’s events?
Yesterday, he had ultimately failed to restrain himself and softened towards Dong Xin Yan. In the end, when she asked for a hug, he even obliged... If she rembered these, who knows what she would think.
Would she realize that she had seen through his peculiar, uncontrollable emotions towards her...?
It would be best if she forgot everything from last night, but for so reason, a small part of him was unwilling, hoping Dong Xin Yan could rember sothing from last night, even if just a little of his kindness.

However, upon hearing Dong Xin Yan’s response, he imdiately knew that she rembered nothing.
It wasn’t her sincere apology that led to his forgiveness yesterday. It was clearly relentless persistence...
A cold sneer inevitably slipped from his heart, and even his voice carried a tinge of mockery, "You don’t rember anything, except this?"
After a pause, he laughed without any real emotion, adding, "You’ve got quite the mory!"
Yet, at this mont, Dong Xin Yan completely ignored Gu Ningyi’s sarcasm. Her attention was entirely focused on his words. Gu Ningyi hadn’t denied the lie she conjured up randomly, and the second sentence seed to indirectly acknowledge it, didn’t it?
So, it seed that yesterday not only did she not do anything outrageous, but she also managed to get Gu Ningyi to forgive her and not be angry with her?
