Just now, the splitting headache made her overlook the physical pain. It turned out her body was also extrely sore, with a faint tearing sensation down below.
Dong Xin Yan’s hand suddenly clenched, her red lips pressed tightly together.
Gu Ningyi is simply a beast; even when she was dead drunk, he still didn’t let her go.
Looking at the marks on her body, images of two bodies entangled appeared uncontrollably in Dong Xin Yan’s mind. Her body trembled involuntarily, and a wave of nausea quickly surged up. She hastily wrapped herself in the bed sheet and rushed towards the bathroom.
Leaning over the toilet, she retched, but her stomach was empty; there was nothing there. She could only dry heave, her entire stomach spasming and twitching in extre discomfort.
After retching for a long ti, Dong Xin Yan finally gathered herself. She hadn’t even had ti to catch her breath when she held herself up and walked to the shower, turned the switch, and let the water fall straight onto her.
She tore off the sheet and began to scrub the marks on her body forcefully. Her fair skin quickly turned red and gradually beca painful, yet she felt nothing, simply scrubbing herself chanically, as if wanting to wash away all evidence left by Gu Ningyi.
Even though it was impossible to clean them completely...
After nearly an hour of washing, Dong Xin Yan erged from the bathroom, her entire body red and sore. She changed into loungewear and, dragging her slippers, walked out of the bedroom and headed downstairs.
The hangover was truly uncomfortable; she still felt lightheaded as she walked.
Dong Xin Yan held her head with one hand and carefully descended the stairs, afraid that a misstep might result in a fall. However, despite her caution, upon seeing Gu Ningyi sitting on the living room sofa, she still missed a step and fell down.
She cried out in surprise, and Gu Ningyi’s eyes suddenly lifted. He saw Dong Xin Yan falling and his gaze sharpened. He imdiately stood up from the sofa, instinctively moving towards her.
After letting out a cry, Dong Xin Yan quickly and promptly grabbed the handrail with force, just barely managing to steady herself.
Only then did Gu Ningyi’s heart, which had nearly reached his throat, slowly return to its place, and he realized that his palms had been sweating with tension.
Gu Ningyi’s gaze darkened slightly, sothing seed to flicker quickly across his eyes, and when Dong Xin Yan steadied herself and looked up at him, he suddenly retracted the step he had taken and quickly sat back on the sofa.
He even lowered his eyes slightly, as if concealing sothing.
After stabilizing herself, Dong Xin Yan took a few deep breaths, lightly patting her chest to calm herself. If she had fallen just now, she would have surely broken an arm or a leg.
Luckily, she reacted quickly!
She exhaled deeply, unconsciously looking up at Gu Ningyi, only to see the calm, handso face sitting there on the sofa, composed and elegant, as though he hadn’t noticed her earlier mishap.
Once safely down the stairs, Dong Xin Yan stood at the base, hesitating and unsure about approaching him.
She truly hadn’t expected Gu Ningyi to still be there and didn’t know how to face him for a mont, as she wasn’t sure if she had done anything... inappropriate after drinking too much last night.
If she had, was he staying here to wait until she sobered up to settle the score?
