C25 – Second Round of Assessnt
“No worries! Big bro, I thought you were already grown up!” Qin Hongyu exclaid, sowhat astonished.
It wasn’t really his fault for saying so; Fu Tian just seed unusually mature for his age. You could even make out the faint hint of stubble on his face, and he stood a couple of centiters taller than Qin Hongyu.
But setting that aside, Fu Tian was the brooding type of handso—if it weren’t for his icy deanor, he’d probably be sward by girls asking for his number.
“Ah? Do I really look that old? I’ve always considered myself to have a baby face…” Fu Tian lanted.
“Umm… Big bro, are you perhaps misunderstanding the term ‘baby face’?” Bo Miaojiao couldn’t resist teasing.
“Third sis! Why would you say that too…” Fu Tian’s expression was one of utter dejection.

After awakening their battle spirits, the trio remained seated in their spots, waiting for the Battle Spirit Awakening Ceremony to conclude.
The latter half of the ceremony lacked the miraculous appearance of any Elental Spirits, but this year’s event was still deed impressive. The ergence of three Elental Spirits was considered a marvel in itself.
“The Battle Spirit Awakening Ceremony is now complete. Congratulations to all the candidates still present—you’re the fortunate ones. Regardless of the quality of the battle spirit you’ve awakened, you have successfully completed the first round of the Martial Exam. Next, you’ll venture into the Iron Woods to secure a Gray Iron Rank Spiritual Card!”
Director Li erged as if from thin air, taking his place at the podium to announce the next phase of the exam.
“Director Li? What exactly is a Spiritual Card?” an inquisitive candidate called out from the audience.
“Spiritual Cards are earned by slaying Demon Beasts. On average, one card drops for every ten beasts defeated, giving you about a 10% chance. Gray Iron Rank Spiritual Cards are specifically obtained from lower-level Demon Beasts. These cards are crucial for any Battle Spirit Fighter, which is why securing one is your second challenge. Except for Class A students, everyone must pass this test to be admitted into Sacred Heart Academy!” Director Li explained with a stern tone.
“What qualifies as a low-level Demon Beast? And could we encounter higher-level Demon Beasts in the Iron Woods?” another candidate inquired.
“Why do you new students seem to know so little? Demon Beasts are categorized into low, middle, senior, and lord’s class. Above those are the disaster-level Demon Beasts. But don’t fret too much. The Iron Woods have been specially prepared by our academy for the Martial Exam. It’s populated solely with low-level Demon Beasts, so there’s no need to worry about encountering anything more formidable. However, should you find yourselves in danger, just shout for help. Our staff will be on hand to rescue you, but be aware that doing so ans you forfeit the exam.”
Director Li adjusted his glasses with a look of impatience.
“Now, follow your team leader to the Iron Woods imdiately. The exam will last 24 hours. Good luck to you all…”
With those words, Director Li vanished from view once again.
Qin Hongyu, Bo Miaojiao, and the rest, guided by Teacher Hai Yunxing, prepared to set off for the Iron Woods.
To their surprise, they weren’t boarding a bus this ti; instead, they were whisked away in a large helicopter, heading for the Iron Woods on the outskirts of town.
