C20 – Pet Snake

After finishing his statent, Qin Hongyu stepped down from the high platform and rejoined his team.

The teacher responsible for the awakening process watched Qin Hongyu’s retreating figure, lost in thought for a long while. For a brief mont, he even entertained the notion that this young man might just be capable of working wonders.

“My goodness! What am I even thinking?” The awakening teacher shook his head vigorously, then scoffed, “There’s no one on this earth who can get the Jade Serpent to achieve its complete body. Not even the wildest of places has witnessed its ultimate form. What could a kid possibly do? Ridiculous…”

At present, all Battle Spirits deed as senior class are the result of innurable past failures. Any Battle Spirit that has managed to evolve into a complete body, or even an Ultimate Body, is docunted by the alliance, earning them the senior class status.

Hence, all the successors need to do is to tread in the successful steps of their forebears, evolving one step at a ti – truly standing on the shoulders of giants.

While there have been awakenings of the lightning-type Serpent Spirit, no one has succeeded in advancing the Jade Serpent to its mature stage. Nurous scientists dedicated to studying Battle Spirit evolution have declared that the Jade Serpent simply cannot reach its complete form.

Over ti, a consensus has erged among almost all Battle Spirit Fighters: among the exceedingly rare lightning-type Battle Spirits, there exists a single crippled one – the Jade Serpent!

Nonetheless, the Jade Serpent, with its striking appearance and non-venomous nature, coupled with its ability to emit a faint electrical current for therapeutic purposes, has beco a highly sought-after pet among the affluent.

No sooner had Qin Hongyu returned to his team than Bo Miaojiao pulled him aside, while Fu Tian subtly edged closer.

“Hongyu, what happened? Which class were you placed in?” Bo Miaojiao inquired with bubbling excitent.

Qin Hongyu nonchalantly passed his personal information sheet to Bo Miaojiao.

“Class D… How can that be? The lightning you summoned was so intense, you should have been a shoo-in for Class A! How did you end up in Class D?” Bo Miaojiao asked, clearly upset.

She had been utterly captivated by Qin Hongyu’s awakening ceremony, the thunderous display of light drawing the attention of nurous teachers. It seed certain that he must possess an exceptionally powerful battle spirit, so it was a shock when it was deed a low-level one.

“They said my Serpent Spirit can only evolve to its mature stage, labeling it a crippled battle spirit, and that’s why I’ve been placed in Class D…” Qin Hongyu said with a helpless shrug, maintaining an air of indifference.

“How can they do this? I’m going to give them a piece of my mind!” Bo Miaojiao’s brow furrowed in frustration, ready to confront the teacher responsible for Qin Hongyu’s ceremony.

“Don’t bother, it won’t make a difference!” Qin Hongyu quickly grasped the impetuous Bo Miaojiao, urging her to reconsider with a serious tone.

“But…” Bo Miaojiao persisted, eager to defend Qin Hongyu’s honor.

“It’s fine, really. A setback may well be a blessing in disguise. I’m not concerned with others’ opinions of . All that matters is your belief in . Do you believe I can evolve my Serpent Spirit to its complete body?” Qin Hongyu asked earnestly, his gaze filled with sincerity as he spoke softly to her.

“Of course, I believe you!” Bo Miaojiao responded instantly, without a trace of doubt.

With a warm smile, Qin Hongyu affectionately tousled Bo Miaojiao’s hair and chuckled, “See? There’s nothing to worry about… It’s just a matter of being in a different class! It doesn’t bother

one bit.”

“Okay…” Bo Miaojiao finally settled down, reassured by his words.
