C14 – Academy
The horoom teacher, realizing he might have misspoken, left the bus with a sheepish look and quickly made his exit.
Before long, the bus began its journey to Deepfell, pulling away under the watchful eyes of the onlookers. Despite the sizable crowd waving goodbye, only about a hundred students from Cirencester High were eligible to take the Martial Exam—just enough to fill two buses. Considering the entire junior class numbered thirteen hundred, this turnout was a historic high.
“Hello, everyone. My na is Hai Yunxing, and I’ll be introducing you to Sacred Heart Academy, which we’ll reach in about two hours,” announced a young man with glasses, standing up and addressing the students with confidence. Clearly, he was a teacher from Sacred Heart Academy, exuding an aura far removed from the average educator, one that commanded an unspoken respect.
“Sacred Heart Academy is one of Deepfell’s premier Battle Spirit Academies and a key institution within the Battle Spirit Alliance. It boasts a rich history, and the school’s resources and environnt are second to none…” He continued, providing a detailed overview of the academy with the enthusiasm of a seasoned tour guide.
Qin Hongyu and Bo Miaojiao, however, only managed to listen for a short while before succumbing to sleep amidst the lecture.
……
Roughly two hours later, it was the sa teacher’s voice that roused many of the dozing students. “We’ve arrived at Sacred Heart Academy. Please disembark orderly and don’t wander off. Follow
to the cafeteria for a al, and after a brief rest, we’ll proceed with the battle spirit awakening ceremony.”
The students filed off the bus, eager to retrieve their luggage, only to learn that their belongings would be delivered directly to their dorms.
Stepping off the bus, Qin Hongyu couldn’t help but be awestruck by the school’s imposing entrance. The words “Qingyun Interdiate School” were emblazoned above the gates in a bold, spirited script. Had he not known it was a high school, he might have mistaken it for one of the nation’s elite universities.
“Wow! So this is Sacred Heart Academy! It’s even more impressive than I imagined!” Qin Hongyu exclaid in awe.
He had spent most of his days in the small town of Cirencester, seldom venturing out, which made it difficult for him to contain his bubbling excitent.
“Look at you, acting like you’ve never seen the world before. It’s downright embarrassing to be seen with you!” Ji Buyu remarked with a look of disdain.
“If you keep quiet, nobody will mistake you for being mute!” Bo Miaojiao retorted, her face clouded with annoyance.
“Do you really think I want to talk to that country bumpkin? Just don’t go around saying we’re in the sa class. I don’t want to be humiliated by association!”
With those words, Ji Buyu strode off toward the cafeteria, not once glancing back, as if associating with Qin Hongyu was beneath him.
“Ah, horoom teacher, I fear I might let you down…” Qin Hongyu sighed resignedly, then, with a tug, he led Bo Miaojiao into the cafeteria.
Guided by their teacher, they made their way to the lunch hall. The als at Sacred Heart Academy were exceptional, both in flavor and nutritional value.
Once everyone had finished their al, they followed Teacher Hai to a place known as the “Awakening Hall.”
