567: Chapter 383: The Sang Island Delegation in Action_3 567: Chapter 383: The Sang Island Delegation in Action_3 “I am grateful, Master Enoch.”

Owen Bertram left Ford Castle and headed straight for the outskirts of Capital City.

Tomorrow was the Dragon-Snake Ranking Exam, and according to the plan, he had to go to Falling Petal Mountain today.

rton Academy was on Falling Petal Mountain, but that did not an the entire mountain belonged to the academy.

rton Academy occupied a large area near the front of the mountain and Eden Cave.

The three kneeling statues were at the edge of rton Academy, and even though they were not enclosed within a wall, they were considered part of the academy’s belongings because they were also a “relic.”

This so-called “relic” didn’t hold much value, and no one in the capital was interested in contesting for it.

As rton Academy’s influence waned, even its patrolling students grew too lazy to give it a glance.

Only the upper echelons of rton Academy, like Evans Graham, knew the “function” of these three stone statues.

Over the past few days, Owen Bertram had secretly asked Andrew Oamond to gather information.

Indeed, there was nothing peculiar about the three kneeling stone sculptures.

However, Owen wanted to be cautious, as others might not have discovered their secrets.

For instance, the three giant swords at the edge of Divine Lake.

Thus, he made preparations: break and run.

Even if problems arose, he wouldn’t get involved.

Even if rton Academy pursued the matter, the Emperor would surely protect him since he was taking the Palace Examination the next day.

After the Palace Examination, he would return to Summit tropolitan Office, his own territory, where he doubted rton Academy would dare venture to cause him trouble.

Owen Bertram arrived just outside Falling Petal Mountain, avoiding rton Academy.

He initially wanted to use the “Breaking Void” divine power but, considering the high-profile assassination of Lord Porter, used the power sparingly.

Instead, he decided to walk up the mountain honestly.

As he took but a few steps, a fierce bird’s cry ca from the sky.

Magpie swooped down, and the gust of wind from its landing sent the dried grass, branches, and dust on the ground spinning and flying.

Owen Bertram happily reached out his hand, and Magpie bent down its large head, making it easier for him to stroke it.

The pair of fierce eyes turned soft and hazy from addiction; its beak open, tongue hanging crookedly, and it looked extrely comfortable.

Gregory Ryan poked his head out of Magpie’s neck and sweetly said, “Master, we missed you.”

“Hahaha!” Owen Bertram stroked the bird, his laughter bellowing.

Magpie, like a giant dog, rolled on the ground, causing chaos around it, then lowered its body to pick up the master with its beak.

It carried him onto its back, and then soared into the Vault of Heaven.

The bird’s song echoed as it danced happily in the sky.

Owen Bertram patted Magpie’s head.

“Alright, ti to get serious.” He pointed in the direction of the stone statues and they flew towards them.

Within monts, they arrived at the statues’ location.

The place was desolate, surrounded by broken stones.

It was evident that the statues once knelt on a high stone platform.

For so unknown reason, despite the passage of many years, the statues had remained intact, with their giant Chain Lock still wrapped around them.

Owen Bertram stepped down from Magpie’s back and gently urged his Flying Sword Object System.

The Tire-8 Sword Artifact in Eden Cave imdiately resonated with him.

Owen Bertram pointed at the three statues and ordered Magpie, “Destroy them.”

Magpie leaped into the air and pecked down in one swoop.

With a loud bang, one of the statues was shattered.

In Eden Cave, the Tire-8 Sword Artifact was content.

Owen Bertram prepared himself for any possible complications, but the statue’s collapse didn’t trigger anything unexpected.

Magpie leaped again, its consecutive jumps destroying the remaining statues.

Though still ferocious, it stomped on the shattered statues with its claws, trampling the fragnts beyond recognition.

Owen Bertram smiled slightly, mounted Magpie, and flew away.

About half a shichen later, a few people from rton Academy arrived at the scene in shock: they wondered who would destroy such useless statues.

There were no clues as to who was responsible for this action, but it didn’t matter, as the statues were not valuable.

Since the Head Libation Master was still detained by His Majesty, there was no one in rton Academy to take charge, so this matter could only be left unresolved.

After playing with Magpie for a while, Owen Bertram secretly sensed the Flying Sword Object System.

From the traces left by the Tire-8 Sword Artifact, a thought transmitted through: the Black Swordswoman was very satisfied with Owen, as his ability to mobilize the power of Tire-8 Sword Artifact had increased and he had beco more frequent.

However, Owen Bertram sohow felt uneasy: mobilizing the Tire-8 Sword Artifact to take action still carried a significant “Cause and Effect” weight, but he had managed to do so effortlessly.

It felt like sothing was hidden in this matter, which he couldn’t know the “price” of for the ti being.

Magpie waited outside Capital City, while Owen Bertram returned to the city to prepare for the Palace Examination the next day.

When he arrived at his residence, he was surprised to find that the watchers from the Central Prison had disappeared!

Owen secretly remarked to himself, “Is Geoff Ford really that helpful?”

It seed that the General governnt was truly unwilling to lie low anymore…

Late at night, in the post house of Wanda Temple, the three leaders of the Sangdao Delegation sat together in a dark room.

Only a dim oil lamp in the center illuminated their faces ominously.
