503: Chapter 365: Never Let Go_2 503: Chapter 365: Never Let Go_2 Nethan hid in the shadows, feeling a strong sense of accomplishnt.
He was like an experienced hunter who had been luring a sparrow into a trap with a handful of grain, bit by bit.
After delivering the four insects, Owen Bertram finally arrived near the Demon Eye.
Nethan leaped out and shouted, “Attack!”
At the sa ti, he made a vicious gesture towards Owen Bertram, “You hard our brothers, now it’s ti for retribution!”
If he could trap Owen Bertram in the Demon Eye’s predicant and cause him serious injury, that would be avenging his deceased brothers Jas and Daniel, and the negative impact on his prestige within the small team could be minimized.
Then he would inform Wayne Malvin, who would co to save this kid and he could use this great rit to receive rewards from Colby Dominic in the future!
Upon Nethan’s command, all of his n sprang into action.
However, they saw Owen Bertram suddenly raise his hand like a dragon claw, gripping sothing, and fiercely lifting it above his head before forcefully pushing downward.
An invisible force suddenly descended, and it seed as if deities above had cast divine powers upon them.
Nethan found himself unable to move, completely immobilized!
The Great Seal Apparition of the Full Carved Six Ding and Six Jia Sky Illumination Array, driven by spiritual energy fused with the Wildland Spirit, instantly locked down all of the surrounding space.
Not just Nethan, but his other arranged accomplices were also immobilized at the sa instant.
So of them were operating magical instrunts, while another had been stealthily advancing to report back to Wayne Malvin.
All of them remained frozen in their comical postures.
The impoverished cultivators were not affected.
After a lot of commotion and surprise, most of them didn’t realize the hidden danger, instead finding the postures of Nethan and his n ridiculous, laughing and joking around.
Glenn Mitchell’s heart clenched, looking at Owen Bertram with a sense of dread: What kind of divine skill was this?!
Nethan’s heart raced in fear, desperately trying to free himself.
He tried every trick in his arsenal, but found that no matter the thod – magical instrunts, divine skills, or talismans – they were all useless under the current lockdown!
He was burning with anxiety.
Having brought Owen Bertram here with great difficulty, how could the outco turn out like this?
His eyes bulging out of his head, he saw Owen Bertram walking towards him leisurely, not even bothering to look at him, but instead examining the Demon Eye statue not far away.
After observing it for a while, Owen Bertram comnted, “This thing…
is strange, mysterious, and fascinating.” He turned his head, looking at Nethan with a smile that was not quite a smile, “You went through all this trouble on the way here, scheming to use this thing to harm ?”
Nethan could only glare in response, unable to speak.
Owen Bertram let out a laugh, “You’ve made so many arrangents, but what’s the use?
With such childish thods, I can see through them in an instant.”
As if sensing Nethan’s disagreent, Owen Bertram continued by pointing out each accomplice, “These people were using crossbow chanisms to launch the remains of spirit insects, which should be your first-layer plan.
When the remains land on that strange boulder, it should trigger a disaster.”
As he spoke, Owen Bertram casually disassembled a crossbow chanism into its components.
In his eyes, such crude chanical weapons were nothing more than rubbish.
“And this fellow,” Owen Bertram picked up a short, stocky man, “His cultivation thod is sowhat unique.
Although he’s only at the Third Great Realm, he has the Soul Possession Skill and has raised a few spirit pets.
If the crossbows prove ineffective, he’ll sacrifice his spirit pets to trigger a disaster by rushing at the boulder, or even forcibly split a part of his soul to complete the task.”
Nethan’s eyes changed, those crossbows were obvious, but seeing through this second layer of arrangent was not easy.
Then Owen Bertram pointed to another person, “And this guy, he actually knows a little about chanical techniques.” With a wave of his hand, a pile of stones in a shadow collapsed, revealing a small stone-throwing chanism hidden underneath.
“If the first two arrangents don’t work, he’ll remotely control this stone-throwing machine, which will still be able to awaken the boulder.”
Owen Bertram approached Nethan, hands behind his back, shaking his head, “Unfortunately, your arrangents, while layered and concealed, all share the sa flaw: your strength is insufficient.
If any of you had a realm high enough and the skills to act on a single thought, I might not have been able to completely seal you all.
My divine power hasn’t reached the level of silencing thoughts.”
Nethan couldn’t speak; all his carefully considered arrangents were put to sha in the face of soone so much more powerful!
In conclusion, Owen Bertram said, “So this lesson is to tell you not to overestimate your abilities and try to sche against a much more powerful existence!” Bart slapped his forehead and shouted, “I rember now, this is the Demon Eye, possibly the source of the entire Extinction Domain in Zombie Cave!
I’ve heard so senior Insect Hunters ntion it.”
Owen Bertram glanced at him, thinking that he was just making a belated realization.
Then Owen Bertram gently raised his hand, and Nethan and the others were lifted into the air by a mysterious force, flying towards the Demon Eye, “However, this lesson is of no use to you now, as your lives are about to end.”
…
Wayne Malvin had been waiting by the Resurrection Path for a long ti, but there was still no sign of Nethan and his group.
Gradually, he began to grow anxious.
