He lowered his head and thought for a mont before saying, “If Master Lane and Lord Dunn can’t get any money out of the Imperial Court, we probably can’t either.
However, there is another way.”
Owen Bertram encouraged him, “Go on.”
David made a bitter face and said, “Can we agree first that I’m the one who ca up with this, but please don’t make do it?”
Owen Bertram waved his hand, “Just tell first.”
David secretly sighed, knowing he probably wouldn’t be able to avoid this task, “Downstream from Summit is the Lake Mature Region, which is one of the wealthiest areas in our kingdom.
Sir, you could go to the Lake Mature Region and ask local governnt offices and gentry for donations.”
“We’re guarding the upstream area of Summit, ensuring their safety.
