Arzoth exclaid, "Sarina!?"

The demoness had jet-black hair that ended near her shoulders. It fell over her face, covering one eye, the other buttery yellow eye shone under the sunlight. On the right side of her head rested a singular short, coal-black horn. A dark cape draped over her shoulders, falling over her clothing of a black fluffy dress.

"Yes, she is definitely Sarina. But what is she doing here?"

She stared at the brothers before resting her eyes on Arzoth alone, "I thought you were coming alone."

"That wasn't demanded in your letter."

"Fair enough, follow ," Sarina said and turned around before moving forward.

Evren looked at Arzoth, "Who is she? And why should we follow her?" His voice was more demanding than curious.

Arzoth raised an eyebrow. "She is Sarina, queen of the Valkyra clan, and we are going to their land. Surprisingly, you don't know about her."

Evren narrowed his eyes, "Unlike you, we don't keep ties with demons."

Arzoth didn't respond but followed Sarina, and so did Evren.

"In the original tiline, Sarina was the one who gave birth to Arzoth's child and died right after. Her father had to take over the role of the ruler until the half-breed was old enough to rule, but Valkyra's future was in danger once Evren had to take away the child to Eldrakai and Valkyra was turned against the kingdom because it stole their heir. But right now, Sarina is standing in front of . This was not supposed to happen."

Evren has his sword ready in his hands, gripped tightly, and his eyes alert and sharp. Arzoth watched Sarina as she walked in front and asked, "Arisa is fine?"

Sarina froze but quickly resud her pace, "How do you know its na? I don't rember ntioning it in the letter."

"Oh no, what a disaster."

Arzoth said, "That is not the answer to my question."

"It's fine; it just hasn't opened its eyes yet."

Arzoth frowned, "Isn't it like the fourth day? She should have opened her eyes by now."

"In the novel, Arisa opens her eyes on the fourth day in the Eldrakai palace. Demon children take three to four days to open their eyes as they possess so supernatural powers in their vision and should be awakened gently."

"Now, how do you know it's 'she'?" Sarina said with a hint of suspicion in her tone.

"Just like I know her na."

The demoness rolled her eyes, and the three of them kept walking through the uneven ground for hours, for what seed like days. At last, they arrived at a flat, barren area.

The place was dry and the sun was right on top of their heads, but to the brothers' surprise, there was not a hint of heat frying their heads, even the ground was cool enough to stand barefoot without getting burnt.

"This must be the Gorit land, which separates the human realm from the demonic realm. If I rember correctly, this place is filled with dragons. Real dragons. Yeah, the one that spits fire, but there are two types of them. Fire dragons, who possess the supernatural power of Pyrokinesis, can manipulate and create fire. Ice dragons are the second type of dragons that possess the supernatural power of Cryokinesis, which ans they can manipulate and create ice."

"The heat and cool are both balanced because of the two opposite types of dragons existing in the sa place."

Sarina gave a long whistle, and Evren tensed imdiately. A large dragon, completely orange in color, sliced through the air in the sky and landed right in front of Sarina. It had long, sharp spikes on the back of its neck, and its large tail waved behind. It was enormous, around 10 feet tall.

Following the orange one, which is a fire dragon, ca two more dragons, out of which was an ice dragon and the other was a fire one.

"Only the demons have full control over the dragons as they are powerful enough to ta and train them. This also adds up to their strength. Not even the greatest of people get to see the dragons or go near them simply because dragons are believed to be just like demons and not to be neared."

Sarina climbed up the first arrived dragon, and Arzoth climbed up the ice one, leaving Evren with the other fire dragon.

"This is so cool, like seriously! Sitting on a dragon! A DRAGON!!"

Sarina's dragon took off, its wings spread out. Behind it followed the other two. Evren was still tense and alert.

The ride was silent and enjoyable for Arzoth. After a while, the demonic realm ca into the picture, the dragons flew over the dark households, and the demons, who seed too tiny from above.

Sarina was quiet all along, her mind racing with thoughts and questions. She glanced back at Arzoth and said, "You said in your reply that you wish to change the pact. What's your play here?"

"This will probably make Sarina and the Valkyra land against or Eldrakai, and Evren would possibly kill . But I have to do this. For Arisa and ."

Arzoth looked at Sarina and said, "I want to take Arisa with ."

Evren's eyes widened in shock and anger, and so did Sarina's.

"I have to take Arisa with , no matter what."

"I have to get her before she opens her eyes, anyhow."
