An Yu sighed after not receiving a reply for a while and walked back down, placing the containers in the fridge but heading back to his room.

The next morning, auntie Gu gasped loudly and she quickly scrambled for her phone.

It had gotten worst!

"Doctor Jeong, the young madam’s body, it’s hot and it’s turning red..what do I do?"

"Get her to the hospital right now! Those babies are at risk.."

Tang Xue i’s eyes fluttered open, glassy and unfocused. "Auntie Gu?..." she mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. "So hot... everything’s spinning..."

Auntie Gu’s face creased with worry. She hurried to the bathroom, her hands shaking as she wet a soft cloth with cool water. Returning to Tang Xue i’s side, she gently placed the damp cloth on her forehead.

"Hold on, Young madam, I need to check your temperature quickly," Auntie Gu murmured, reaching for the thermoter on the bedside table. As she waited for the readings.

The thermoter beeped. Auntie Gu’s eyes widened as she read the numbers: 104°F (40°C).

"Heavens!!" she breathed as she cracked, imdiately raising to her feet. "This is not good, not good at all. An Yu! Brother Wang!!"

She scread loudly as she ran out of the room. An Yu imdiately running out when he heard the ruckus.

"What’s going on?!"

"W-we have you get the young madam to the hospital right now!!"

An Yu rushed into the room and let out a breath he didn’t know he had been holding.

Tang Xue i stirred restlessly, murmuring inoherently. Auntie Gu stood, her mind racing.

This fever was dangerous, especially for soone in Tang Xue i condition.

"Tell butler Wang to get the car ready, I’ll carry her down.."

Auntie Gu still stood rooted to the ground, making An Yu frown.

"Auntie Gu! This is no ti to be dazed!"

Auntie Gu imdiately snapped out of it and ran downstairs.

Seeing that she was gone, An Yu reached down and scoped Tang Xue i into his hands.

He felt his back stiffen, when he felt just how hot her body actually was.

"Faster, brother Wang," Auntie Gu urged, her voice tinged with worry. Butler Wang nodded silently, pressing down on the accelerator as he navigated the streets slowly coming to life with early commuters.

Tang Xue i stirred fitfully, her eyes fluttering open for a mont before closing again. "We’re almost there.." Auntie Gu soothed, dabbing Tang Xue i’s forehead with a damp cloth.

An Yu turned in, his face masked with concern. "How is she?" He asked quietly.

"Not good," Auntie Gu replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "We need to hurry."

Auntie Gu glanced at her watch - 7:15 AM - then back at Tang Xue i’s flushed face. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, each breath with a struggle. "Hang on, Young madam," she whispered, squeezing the her hand.

As they rounded a corner, the hospital’s ergency sign ca into view.

Jeong Da Ren was already out, wairhbg for them along with two nurses.

" Assist them imdiately!"he shouted, his authoritative voice ringing out. Making the nurses leave their positions.

They rolled the wheeled bed over to the car and An Yu and Butler Wang carefully lifted Tang Xue i from the car, carefully placing her on the bed.

"Let’s head ti ICU, we have to be fast for the sake of her babies.."

As Dr. Jeong and the two nurses rushed Xue i into the ICU.

He was already briefed on the situation and imdiately began assessing Tang Xue i.

"Eight weeks pregnant, severe fever. What’s her current temperature?" Dr. Jeong asked, his eyes scanning Xue i’s pale, sweat-drenched face.

The older nurse quickly checked the thermoter. "40*Celsius, doctor but it’s showing signs of reduction."

Dr. Jeong’s brow furrowed with concern. "That’s still critically high. We need to bring it down imdiately. Start her on IV acetaminophen and prepare ice packs for external cooling."

As they transferred Tang Xue i to the ICU bed, the younger nurse attached monitoring equipnt. "Heart rate is 130 BPM, blood pressure 90/60," she reported.

Dr. Jeong nodded, his hands gently touching Tang Xue i’s lower abdon. "At eight weeks, we can’t monitor fetal heart tones externally yet. Let’s get an ergency ultrasound in here to check fetal viability."

He turned to the older nurse. "I want a full septic workup - blood cultures, urine, everything. And get Dr. Liu from Obstetrics for an urgent consult."

As the team worked to stabilize Xue i, Dr. Jeong continued issuing orders. "Start broad-spectrum antibiotics. We need to cover all bases . And prepare for the possibility of more aggressive interventions if her condition doesn’t improve quickly."

The younger nurse looked up from adjusting an IV. "Doctor Jeong, should we be concerned about the risk of miscarriage at this stage?"

Dr. Jeong’s face was grim as he responded, "It’s a significant concern. The extre fever poses a serious threat to both mother and fetuses. But if we’re able to lower temperature just before it gets critical then a miscarriage won’t be happening."

Auntie Gu paced back and forth outside the ICU, she was so scared for Tang Xue i and the babies that she couldn’t sit still.

"Auntie Gu please sit down, you’ve been running about for a while at least rest your back.."

Auntie Gu shook her head, it’s been nearly 2 hours and still no news from the Dr. Jeong or the nurses or anything. She felt like she was going to lose her minds.

"The young master..what do we.."

"Auntie Gu please don’t go that far, she will be alright, have so faith in her..."

An Yu didn’t dare to have those what if thoughts and he knew Tang Xue i would pull through, she was a strong woman.

Inside the ICU, things were looking up, the older nurse smiled when she check Tang Xue i’s temperature.

"36.5* celcius Dr. Jeong, it has reduced exponentially.."

Dr Jeong heaved a sigh of relief as he nodded, the external cooling did a lot without it they wouldn’t have been able to cool her down this fast.
