Chapter 216: Chapter 174: Vampire Count Ellick

It was clearly a dieval stone coffin, yet the underside began to transform automatically, like a machine. Panels on both sides fell away, revealing black iron pipes from which blood started to gurgle out.

The blood was an unnaturally vivid red and carried a foul, coppery stench. Soon, a river of blood was flowing beneath the coffin.

The blood flowed across the floor, soaking into the carpet, and a heavy, oppressive, and eerie atmosphere gradually filled the hall.

After a while, the flow of red blood dwindled and then stopped.

A grating sound that set one’s teeth on edge echoed through the hall. Then, the lid of the red stone coffin slowly slid open.

A large, withered hand, as powerful as a hawk’s talon yet deathly pale, reached out from the coffin and gripped its edge.

Gwendolyn and the others were breathing heavily, the pressure and tension palpable. The intimidating aura of the Vampire Count was difficult to bear, even for the Curse Sealers of the Whig Society.

But just then, Fang Zhen suddenly spoke.

"Pat! The case!"

Pat froze for a second, but he reacted almost instantly.

Pat dropped into a half-kneel, positioning the case on his back at the perfect height for anyone to open it and grab sothing.

Fang Zhen rushed forward in a single step, undid the latch on the wooden case, and threw it open.

Inside the case, besides so Alchemy Items, was a small backpack.

Fang Zhen yanked the backpack open.

Inside the backpack was a shockproof box made of polyethylene foam. Tucked into the white foam were four Molotov Cocktails.

He had brought four Molotov Cocktails, packed in the shock-absorbing case.

He yanked a Molotov Cocktail from the foam case, and without bothering to light it, hurled it directly at the red stone coffin.

Aided by his precise throwing skill, the bottle flew over ten ters and arced perfectly above the stone coffin.

Fang Zhen imdiately drew his gun and, relying on his instinctive shooting, fired a single shot.

His precise intuition hadn’t been overwritten by his extrasensory premonition; instead, it had been enhanced while retaining its original capabilities.

BANG!

The nine-milliter bullet precisely shattered the Molotov Cocktail in midair. The shot ignited the gasoline, sugar, and bits of polyethylene foam and plastic inside, creating a rain of fire that cascaded down, blanketing the stone coffin.

A tall vampire with a sinister air, clad in red and black robes, had just poked his head out of the coffin. He hadn’t even fully awakened or uttered a single dramatic line before the rain of fire covered him, completely enveloping both the coffin and the vampire within.

The scene startled Karen and the others.

Aside from Gwendolyn, none of them had ever seen a Molotov Cocktail before. The intense combustion and sticky, clinging flas made Pat, Karen, and the others cry out in alarm.

Furthermore, Fang Zhen’s ruthless preemptive strike, before his opponent had even fully appeared, was a bit of a dirty move.

But it was damn effective.

The vampire in the stone coffin let out an enraged roar and stood up, his entire body ablaze.

This vampire was exceptionally tall, well over six feet and approaching seven. He had a large fra but was gaunt, his skin a deathly, sickly pale.

Now, however, that sickly pale skin was being burned by the Molotov Cocktail’s flas until it cracked and charred, emitting a constant, acrid stench.

Even more bizarrely, as the monster’s skin cracked and burned away, new skin would grow back at a visible rate. This new flesh was just as pale and withered, and as soon as it was destroyed by the fire, it would begin to grow again.

But no matter how many tis it regenerated, it never looked youthful. He always retained the appearance of an old man.

Fang Zhen raised an eyebrow.

’If this is the Vampire Count Ellick, then this monster is really sothing else.’

"Was it you who disturbed my slumber?" the vampire in the flas snarled, his voice a low, furious roar.

"That’s him! That’s Ellick! Only high-level Aberrations have that kind of regenerative ability!" Jorent shouted frantically.

Fang Zhen tightened his grip on his Desert Viper Handgun.

Karen, Gwendolyn, and the others all tightened their grips on their weapons as well.

Suddenly, Ellick, still standing in the flas, leaped straight into the air.

Ellick jumped three ters high and flew six or seven ters forward, landing closest to Pat.

Pat suppressed his fear and let out a great roar, smashing his Steel Arm Shields toward Ellick, who was still covered in clinging flas.

Pat might have been slow on the uptake in other matters, but his reactions and intelligence in a fight were nothing to scoff at. A white light flared across his arm shields, a sign that he had activated the Power Mountain Seal. He was also gathering power around himself, clearly preparing to use the Gang Zan Seal the mont his attack landed—or missed—to evade both Ellick’s counterattack and the clinging flas.

But just as Pat closed in on Ellick, a shockwave of white, frosty air suddenly erupted from the vampire, expanding rapidly outwards.

Pat’s expression turned to one of shock.

"A Curse Seal?"

Pat cried out in disbelief.

The wave of frigid air ca too quickly. Unprepared, Pat took the full brunt of the impact.

Instantly, a layer of frost covered Pat’s eyebrows and hair. A thick sheet of ice ford over his gauntlets, and the front of his body grew stiff from the cold.

Gwendolyn, who was not far from Pat, quickly reached out and grabbed the wooden case on his back. Activating her Power Mountain Seal, she gave a powerful tug, pulling him backward.

Pulled back, Pat was yanked out of the frigid blast’s range, narrowly escaping the fate of being frozen into an ice sculpture.
