After more than ten days of hustling, with An Lan getting up early and staying out late every day to supervise the work, the shop was finally renovated!

Lin Feng drove, bringing Zhang Yuxi and the four babies to the Southern New District to inspect the results. An Lan followed in Zhang Yuxi's BMW Mini with Liu Bo in the passenger seat. Behind them were the renovation company's boss and the staff responsible for the project.

Upon arriving at Wanda Plaza, the large group marched imposingly to the shop's entrance.

An Lan pushed open the door and struck a pose as if for a grand reveal.

"TA-DA!"

Inside, the shop was completely transford! The floors were tidy and bright, and the walls were covered with various decorations. The entire space was perated with a distinctly modern style. The final result was even more perfect than the renovation sketches had suggested.

"I'll take you upstairs for a look," An Lan said, leading Zhang Yuxi and Lin Feng to the second floor.

The décor here was identical to the first floor's. As for the sea-view balcony, An Lan hadn't touched it yet. She planned to wait until after the first wave of custors, then she would figure out how to use the balcony for marketing and promotions. After all, the initial custor base would primarily be the nearby construction workers. It wouldn't be too late to make a big deal out of the sea-view balcony once the university town was built or local residents moved in.

Lin Feng walked into the kitchen and looked around. The kitchen had been expanded and was now much larger than before; it was spacious enough for ten chefs to work simultaneously without getting in each other's way. ???????????? ???????? novel_f??re

An Lan must have taken her father's advice. After all, the kitchen is the heart of a restaurant. If the kitchen wasn't done right, what was the point of opening a restaurant at all?

"Not bad!" Lin Feng remarked. "The kitchen is done very well!"

Hearing his praise, An Lan gave a triumphant smile. "Of course! Is there anything I can't handle?"

"I've already placed a custom order for the tables, chairs, benches, and other decorations with the owner of the furniture store," she continued. "They should be delivered in a few days."

Lin Feng nodded and gave her a thumbs-up. "Impressive!"

Zhang Yuxi ca over and teased, "It seems I'll have to call you Boss An from now on!"

An Lan put on a stern expression to correct her. "Wrong. From now on, please call

Director An. Thank you!"

"Alright, Director An!"

"Ah, that's more like it..." An Lan sighed contentedly.

Lin Feng rembered sothing An Lan had ntioned before. "So, does the shop still need to hire people? Or are you transferring so from your father's side?"

An Lan waved her hand dismissively. "No need to hire. I asked my dad to send over a few of his competent staff. Once the shop is running smoothly, it won't be too late to hire our own people!"

Lin Feng nodded. "In that case, we just need to finalize the nu."

"Yep!" An Lan agreed. "Once we settle that, our restaurant can officially open for business!"

「Back at the villa.」

An Lan brought over her laptop to discuss the nu with Lin Feng. "For our grand opening, the first wave of custors will definitely be the nearby workers, so we need to understand their needs. I've already had soone research it. Those n love oily and spicy dishes. They aren't very demanding when it cos to flavor, but they're extrely sensitive to price. However, with the cost of ingredients soaring, creating cost-effective dishes with our current resources is still quite a challenge."

Lin Feng, looking distracted, stood up and started heading upstairs. "You figure that stuff out. All you need

for is to teach the chefs how to cook."

Hearing this, An Lan couldn't help but roll her eyes. Left with no other choice, she took out her phone and called her father.

An Lan's father offered his suggestions. "If your shop's main custors are the nearby workers, I think you should sell set als. You can mix in chicken, duck, fish, and at, and pair them with vegetable dishes. That way, not only are the portions generous, but the al also appears varied and substantial. Most importantly, your chefs have to be fast. These are laborers; after a long day of work, they just want to eat and go ho to rest, so quick service is paramount. That's why I don't recomnd making any elaborate, ti-consuming dishes. Try to pick simpler things to prepare. If other custors want sothing special, you can always make it for them separately. Lastly, you must sell alcohol in the shop. That's a huge source of revenue."

After listening to her father's advice, An Lan worked through the night to co up with several plans.

「The next day.」

An Lan, with her hair in a ss and dark circles under her eyes, showed the plans to Lin Feng.

"Hmm, not bad," he said, looking them over. "These are all quick-prep dishes, and the set als are priced very reasonably. However, I think we can add drink pairings to the sets. After all, many custors might not plan on drinking initially, but once they start their al, they might be tempted to keep spending."

An Lan nodded. He had a good point! He's destined for great things, always so thorough!

"Okay, I'll go make so revisions," she said. "I'll add a few set als that include drinks."

There was still so ti before the restaurant opened anyway, since the tables, chairs, and other furniture hadn't arrived yet.

Three days later, An Lan and Lin Feng finally finalized the nu.

"They already know how to make these dishes, so you won't have to step in," An Lan told him. "Later on, when the restaurant levels up and we have a different clientele, you can co and guide them then."

Lin Feng had no objections. After all, these were just simple, hostyle dishes, and the custors weren't expected to be picky about the taste.

"When will the chefs arrive?" he asked.

"They're on their way now. They're apprentices from my father's hotel who have a real talent for cooking. You should have no problem giving them so guidance when they get here."

"Alright!"

Running a restaurant required a trendous amount of effort. In her entire life, An Lan had never worked so hard for anything. She was exhausted but exhilarated. She believed that as long as she put in the effort, the restaurant would surely get better and better!

With this thought, An Lan was instantly fired up. She took her laptop back to her bedroom and got back to work.

Lin Feng went up to the second floor. Seeing his babies growing bigger by the day, a tender smile appeared on his face. Before he knew it, they were already over six months old. Their appearances had changed a lot, and one could now gradually tell the boys from the girls just by looking at them. The expressions on their faces had also beco much more varied.

Ever since the babies began eating solid food, Lin Feng had gone nearly two weeks without receiving a system reward. Maybe it's because I've just been doing the sa repetitive things for the last two weeks. Is that why I haven't triggered any system rewards?

Despite this, Lin Feng wasn't discouraged. Even without the system, he could live a very comfortable life now. Supporting the babies was not an issue at all.
