Chapter 798: Chapter 798 Finalizing the Script

An hour later, the other party deleted so posts that explicitly nad nas, leaving up the ones that didn’t. Their logic was clear: You say we’re using Little Treasure for marketing? Is her na even on it? Where’s the proof? Their intent was obvious—they wanted to ride on Little Treasure’s popularity. After all, among the many child stars, Little Treasure was by far the most successful.

While they were waging their war of words online, their company had already contacted Second Treasure. They sincerely hoped she would agree to the joint marketing. In return, their company’s artists would shoot a comrcial for her, free of charge.

This just made Second Treasure laugh in annoyance. "Do you think I’m short on petty cash? Or do you think I’m lacking artists?"

The most popular actor under their young master’s company was third- or fourth-tier at best. Now that a rare, promising child star had erged, of course they had to market him aggressively.

Second Treasure even replied to them directly, "Don’t try to ride on my Little Treasure’s coattails. Got it?"

Second Treasure was a businesswoman. At a young age, she had made it onto the Forbes list all on her own and was the most high-profile of Lin Feng’s children. No matter where she went, she carried herself with the air of a queen who ruled the world. She had a wide network of contacts, but what was most formidable was that she had built every one of her achievents herself.

The public was skeptical, assuming her success surely had sothing to do with her billionaire father and her brothers. However, an examination of her business empire revealed that the only connection was mutual investnts among the siblings, and those investnts were not substantial. This alone showed what a capable person she was.

An hour later, all the promotional posts about Little Treasure had been deleted. Even those posted by several verified influencers were wiped clean.

Little Treasure paid no mind to the online commotion. She was engrossed in reading scripts, pondering her choices.

One was a historical drama featuring a star-studded cast of veteran actors. Her role was a character with significant developnt, starting as unlikable but evolving into a deeply sympathetic figure by the end. The character was based on a real historical person.

Another was an interesting suspense thriller about a locked-room murder, with her character being the secret mastermind. Little Treasure really liked it, but if a script like this had too many plot holes or lacked cleverness, the film would be a complete flop.

There was also a xianxia fantasy drama adapted from a novel by a famous female author. The book had been a cultural phenonon, so popular that even Second Treasure and Third Treasure had read the fantasy romance. Little Treasure would play the female lead as a child, which was a small role and not much of a challenge for her.

Out of the five scripts, Little Treasure finally settled on the historical drama and the suspense thriller. She was still hesitant about the latter; after all, nine out of ten films in that genre flopped at the box office.

Lin Feng was surprised by her choice and smiled. "This script has so logical inconsistencies, and the puzzles are too simple. It’s not that interesting."

"If you really want to act in it, we can talk to the screenwriter and polish the script," he offered.

Little Treasure tilted her head. "My brothers and sisters are all so smart; maybe they can help. The only question is whether the screenwriter will agree to revisions."

Lin Feng found the contact information. "You go talk to them. I’ll get back to the historical drama team."

Father and daughter divided the tasks.

Little Treasure contacted the script’s representative and shared her thoughts. If she were to accept the role, the script’s logic needed to be much tighter. The person on the other end was a bit stunned but quickly agreed.

"If you’re unsure about any parts of the script, my brothers and sisters can help," she offered. "For example, they can design more interesting murder puzzles and ga chanics, which would make for a much better viewing experience."

The person paused, then asked tentatively, "If we do that, won’t it be too difficult for the audience to understand?"

Little Treasure shared her view. "Good movies are the ones people can watch and analyze over and over again."

"If we’re going to do this," she added, "we should go big and make it a huge success."

The person on the other end was silent for a few seconds. "I... We haven’t secured any investnt... We’ll do our best to make it a success."

Little Treasure said magnanimously, "No problem, we can invest. But we should still ask the screenwriter for her opinion first."

After another few seconds of silence, the person said, "I am the screenwriter."

Little Treasure was taken aback for a mont. "Oh! Then you’re very talented. This script is fantastic, but with a few tweaks, it could be even more incredible."

Lin Feng poured Little Treasure a cup of hot milk and sat down to listen to their conversation.

"Okay, then I’ll send the script to my brothers and sisters for them to look at," Little Treasure said. "Don’t worry, it will be kept completely confidential."

After hanging up, Little Treasure got the electronic version of the script and sent it to her four older siblings. She included a brief explanation, hoping they could find ti in their busy schedules to read it. As this was a rare opportunity to play a leading role, and the final villain no less, Little Treasure valued this script imnsely.

The first to reply was Fourth Treasure: "I hope my darling Little Treasure wins the Best Actress award for this show!"

Little Treasure typed back a rolling-eyes emoji. "Thanks for the good wishes. Now actually read the script." I bet he doesn’t even know what the Golden Rooster and Golden Horse Awards are, let alone a Best Actress award.

The second to reply was Second Treasure: "Alright, let

see what this script that’s caught our little darling’s eye looks like."

Little Treasure replied, "It’s gorgeous, hahaha."

Third Treasure was the third to reply: "I’ll take a look when I have a spare mont."

First Treasure didn’t reply, which Little Treasure had expected. She tidied up and went to sleep.

Her final exams were over. Now she would be busy with the movie, while her family was busy with the wedding preparations for First Treasure and Cai Xia. There was still a month and a half until the New Year, so they had ti. According to her second sister’s progress report, the preparations were already fifty percent complete.

「The next day.」

A call ca from the historical drama team. The first matter was signing the contract, and the second was training in ancient etiquette. The training would last for a week and needed to start as soon as possible. Since filming for the show had already begun, any further delay would put them behind schedule.

After confirming with them, father and daughter imdiately packed their things and headed to the training location. Little Treasure was filled with joy, bursting with energy and motivation now that she was finally going to film a drama.

After the plane landed, they took a car to their hotel. They found the training center, greeted the instructor, and began the session that afternoon. Lin Feng checked into the hotel arranged by the production team, which was quite nice. This was a massive film and television production base that Lin Feng had visited before. Most hotels here were of a similar standard, though so were exceptionally luxurious. Those were reserved for A-list celebrities and top-tier stars, with rooms costing several thousand, or even tens of thousands, a night.

Their two rooms were not very large. Lin Feng found the assistant assigned to coordinate with them.

"The training instructor said she can start filming as soon as she’s done," the assistant explained. "There’s nothing else scheduled for now. If anything cos up, please contact ."

"This is my phone number. If I don’t answer right away, it ans I’m busy. Just call a few more tis."

Lin Feng noted the number. "Alright, you can get back to your work."

The male assistant apologized, "Okay, I’ll get back to it then. Call

if you need anything."

Lin Feng nodded and began organizing Little Treasure’s belongings. His little girl had grown up; she wasn’t a child anymore, so Lin Feng didn’t have to handle her personal undergarnts. Instead, he organized her closet, skincare products, books, and notebooks. Lin Feng had also brought a lot of things for himself, including cooking equipnt...
