「The next day.」
He went over the lines with Little Treasure and arrived at the film set at the designated ti that evening.
Part of the movie was shot on a practical set, but most scenes used a green screen. The place was bustling with people and filming equipnt, so Lin Feng, carrying a bag on his back and Little Treasure in his arms, went to find the person in charge.
Right from the start, the first scene required Little Treasure to run crying through the jungle. She had to convey her character’s utter despair.
Little Treasure was dressed in Princess Eugene’s full regalia, complete with a heavy crown that made it even harder to run. Fortunately, halfway through the run, the crown was scripted to fall off, symbolizing the loss of her royal status.
The weather was still hot, and the crowded, stuffy soundstage made it worse. Seeing his daughter have to run again and again, getting one NG after another, Lin Feng’s heart ached.
"Take a break. We’ll try again in a little while."
The on-set director was moved by Little Treasure’s perseverance and beca much gentler than before. Little Treasure nodded, and a makeup artist hurried over to touch up her makeup.
Lin Feng pulled so icy-cold waterlon from his bag. "Here, Little Treasure, have so."
Instantly, Little Treasure’s face lit up with a smile. For a foodie like her, there was no problem a good snack couldn’t solve. If one snack wasn’t enough, then two would do the trick.
The makeup artist stared in shock at the frosty waterlon. "Is your bag a refrigerator?"
Lin Feng just smiled and casually took out a fan to cool his daughter. "Are you tired?"
Little Treasure nodded.
Lin Feng’s heart clenched. He just couldn’t bring himself to ask his daughter to give up. "If you can’t keep going, tell Daddy. I’ll go talk to the director."
With her cheeks stuffed like a little hamster’s, she managed a muffled, "Okay!"
After her snack, she went back for the next take. This ti, she passed in two tries. After they finished, the director ca over to praise Little Treasure for her excellent performance.
Lin Feng saw that it was already past nine o’clock. According to their contract, Little Treasure was not supposed to film past nine at night. He picked her up and headed back to the hotel.
Little Treasure politely said goodbye to everyone.
So far, Lin Feng and Little Treasure had yet to see the male and female leads, or even the main director. He had heard they were in another soundstage.
He didn’t know that the main director had arrived right after he left.
"How is this young actress doing?" the director asked.
Although their official website had announced Little Treasure would be playing the role of Eugene, it wasn’t unheard of for actors to be replaced midway through production. Moreover, this particular director was notoriously difficult. He already had a contingency plan; if Little Treasure’s acting didn’t win him over, a backup candidate was already lined up.
He sat down and watched the monitor. After five minutes, he nodded in satisfaction. "This little girl is quite good. Her acting is solid, and she’s very dedicated."

That converted to almost a million! An actress’s face is her fortune, and for such a young child, using cheap makeup could damage her skin. So, no one present found the comnt particularly unbelievable.

Sensing sothing, Zhang Yuxi asked, "Was the filming very difficult today?"
