Chapter 631: Chapter 631 The Envied Little Treasure

Xiao Bao, munching on so fruit, couldn’t resist dropping a bombshell.

"Dad, I went to Second Sister’s room last night and saw her chatting with a super handso boy."

Lin Feng, who was chopping vegetables, imdiately stopped and turned to look at Er Bao. The others all looked over as well.

Er Bao’s laughter died in her throat. She quickly explained, "He’s my classmate! It’s not the kind of relationship you’re imagining."

Xiao Bao leisurely ate her fruit. "That boy is super good-looking!"

Er Bao nodded earnestly. "He is, but we’re just friends!"

Si Bao raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "For real?"

Seeing their expressions, Er Bao knew exactly what they were thinking. Unable to argue, she confessed a part of the truth. "He’s pursuing , but I haven’t said yes."

Si Bao was about to speak, but she quickly cut him off. "Don’t tell

that when you guys were in college, nobody ever chased after you!"

Lin Feng watched as his four older children fell silent.

What’s with them? Can’t we even talk about this? He was a very open-minded dad, after all. He’d told them he wouldn’t interfere, so what was the big deal? Couldn’t he even listen in on a little gossip? Sigh. He must be getting old. The generation gap between him and the kids was really showing.

Lin Feng turned back and continued chopping vegetables.

Er Bao walked over and gently pinched Xiao Bao’s chubby little cheeks.

"Wow, you’ve learned to be a troublemaker, Xiao Bao!"

Xiao Bao giggled and offered her a piece of fruit. "Have so, Second Sister," she cooed. "It’s super sweet."

Given how cute she was, her transgression was forgiven for the ti being.

The next day, it was ti for Xiao Bao to start school. The entire family saw her off, their convoy totaling six cars.

After getting out of their cars, Xiao Bao entered the classroom, surrounded by the entourage of her parents and four older siblings.

The first-grade classrooms were all on the ground floor, so they were easy to find.

Carrying her backpack, Xiao Bao waved a reluctant goodbye, her eyes growing red.

There was no cafeteria at the school; the children went ho for lunch.

The round trip took over forty minutes by car, which made Lin Feng’s schedule quite tight.

Now that Xiao Bao had officially started school, Da Bao was set to go to the National Academy of Sciences in Jingcheng to work and continue his studies. Si Bao would also be returning to Jingcheng, so the two brothers would head back together. They were supposed to have left at the end of August but had delayed their departure just so they could see Xiao Bao off on her first day of school.

The most important task for Er Bao in September was to handle her company’s affairs.

San Bao had a performance coming up and had to leave that very night.

Now that Xiao Bao was in elentary school, the atmosphere was a stark contrast to kindergarten; the entire place exuded a sense of seriousness. There were no toys or stickers, and the desks and chairs were all neatly arranged in rows. Her class, which now had over sixty students instead of the thirty she was used to, was noisy and chaotic, making Xiao Bao a little uncomfortable.

At first, the teacher didn’t assign seats, so everyone sat wherever they pleased.

As a minor celebrity, Xiao Bao naturally stood out. She was a beautiful child, and her dress, hair clips, and bracelet were all exquisite. Many of the little girls crowded around, wanting to be her friend. Of course, plenty of boys approached her too, so ntioning they had seen her television shows.

Xiao Bao handled the situation with ease, distributing the snacks prepared by Lin Feng and the small toys from Zhang Yuxi to her new classmates.

Before long, there wasn’t a single person in class who didn’t like Xiao Bao. She had beco the center of attention.

When the class bell rang, the teacher ca in. She took one look at how the students were seated—tall ones here, short ones there—and decided to reassign the seats.

At a ter and a half tall, Xiao Bao was on the taller side for her class, but not the tallest. Naturally, she was seated in the last row.

Next, Teacher Zhao introduced herself. As the horoom teacher, she began selecting a class president, vice president, and group leaders. Xiao Bao watched a few classmates eagerly participate but felt no interest herself, choosing instead to flip through her math textbook. Initially, the teacher’s selections were arbitrary, but later on, they would be based on performance and grades.

Noticing Xiao Bao’s lack of interest, Teacher Zhao specifically asked if she wanted to run for a position.

Xiao Bao just smiled slightly and politely declined.

Seeing this, Teacher Zhao didn’t press the matter and proceeded to select a boy as class president, a girl as vice president, and various group leaders.

With that, the first period was nearly over. Next up was Chinese language class. Her Chinese teacher was a young, pretty woman who started the class by taking roll to familiarize herself with the students.

When the teacher got to Xiao Bao’s na, she smiled slightly. "You may sit. Next, Li Shanshan. Who is Li Shanshan? Please stand so I can see you."

The morning was a cycle of math and Chinese, while the afternoon had one period of physical education and one of art.

After school, Teacher Zhao organized the class into a line to walk to the school gate.

Xiao Bao was being picked up by her four older siblings, who hadn’t gone ho after dropping her off in the morning. The four of them had co in four separate cars. Xiao Bao’s favorite was Si Bao’s Humr because it had the best view.

Although they were quadruplets, they only shared a passing resemblance, each with their own unique characteristics.

While waiting for the children, San Bao stood out from the crowd of parents with her noble aura and beautiful features, making her the most eye-catching person there. Her other siblings chatted under a nearby tree, reminiscing about their own ti at the school.

Soon, it was Xiao Bao’s class’s turn.

Even from a distance, San Bao was impossible to miss, standing out from the crowd with her breathtaking beauty.

Xiao Bao waved frantically. "Third Sister! Third Sister!"

San Bao, who had been coolly scrolling through her phone just a mont before, broke into a tender smile. "I’m here!"

She eagerly scooped Xiao Bao up into her arms.

Xiao Bao giggled. "Am I heavy?"

San Bao hefted her gently. "Not at all. Your sister can carry you just fine."

Seeing this, Da Bao naturally stepped in. "Let

take her."

After a little while, Si Bao took his turn. "My turn. You’ll be riding in Fourth Brother’s car in a bit."

Walking beside them, Er Bao asked, "How was class today?"

Xiao Bao yawned. "It was okay." The material in the textbooks was all stuff she had already learned back in her third year of kindergarten. That was probably why the morning had felt a bit dull, even though the teacher was very strict.

San Bao took out so snacks and fed her a piece. "We’ll be ho soon. Make sure you take a nap after lunch, okay?"

Xiao Bao nodded, resting her head on her fourth brother’s shoulder and yawning.

Being so doted on by four older siblings made her classmates green with envy.

The classmates with brothers thought, Why does my brother only steal my snacks and bully ? Is he even a real brother?

The classmates with sisters wondered, Why does my sister only boss

around and take my things? Is she a fake sister?

And those without any siblings decided, When I get ho, I’m going to ask Mom to hurry up and give

a big brother or sister!
