Chapter 586: Chapter 586: The Richest One

Before they knew it, several days had gone by.

Upon repeated entreaties from Wen’s mother, Lin Dashan and his wife stayed until after the Lantern Festival before leaving.

Lin Feng, on the other hand, flew with his family to Boston to register Dabao for his studies at MIT. They had already communicated with the professors, and a placent exam had allowed Dabao to enroll smoothly in the second sester of his freshman year. Before they left for Jingcheng, Lin Feng had already packed up all of Dabao’s belongings. Despite their deep reluctance to let him go, studying far from ho was an inevitable path. All they could do as parents was worry and provide him with a supplentary credit card that had no spending limit.

Upon arriving in Boston, they completed the enrollnt process. The tuition was certainly steep, requiring a deposit of several hundred thousand, calculated based on the duration of his studies.

Next up was the issue of accommodation. Since Dabao would be living alone in a new place, Lin Feng had wanted to find an apartnt for him and hire a housekeeper to clean it weekly. Dabao had no objections at first. However, after seeing the tuition bill, he began to reconsider. If the dorms offered good living conditions for a reasonable price, he would rather stay on campus.

The school inford him that all freshn were required to live in the dorms. The suites housed students from different majors, the rooms were large, the conditions were excellent, and there was a communal kitchen on every floor. If he wished to move out after his freshman year, the school would allow it and even help him find housing. There were double rooms, single rooms, suites, and even host families available. Since Dabao arrived late, only the more expensive options were left. The conditions were naturally excellent, but the price was also quite high.

After paying for the accommodation, the family moved Dabao’s things into his room. The single room was quite spacious, containing a bed, a wardrobe, bookshelves, and a desk. The impressive size of their family entourage drew the attention of many people nearby. With such a large group, there was no way they could all fit in the dorm room, so Lin Feng had Erbao take Xiaobao outside while he and Zhang Yuxi organized everything. Dabao helped out as well.

Beyond everyday essentials, Lin Feng had also prepared so homade dried fruits and snacks.

"Dabao, these are a quality bowl and chopsticks I brought for you; they won’t break easily," Zhang Yuxi said, unpacking his things.

"Here are your slippers. You’ve always worn this brand because they’re so comfortable."

"And this is an insulated food container. It’ll save you from having to buy food all the ti. You have a kitchen here, don’t you? You can cook extra for a late-night snack."

Spring was just around the corner, so they hadn’t prepared too many things—mostly just daily necessities. While Zhang Yuxi sorted Dabao’s belongings, Lin Feng cleaned the room.

The kitchen and bathroom were located down the hall. On his way there, Lin Feng encountered a foreign girl who also appeared to be a student. Seeing such a handso man, she greeted him enthusiastically. "What’s your na, and which room are you in?" she asked. "Are you new here? Can I help you with anything?"

She made no effort to hide her interest in him.

Carrying a basin of water, Lin Feng walked past her and said, "My son studies here. I just ca to help him move in."

Her sentence left the girl utterly frozen.

After Lin Feng finished wiping down all the furniture, the room was finally in order. Dabao still had many orientation activities to attend, so Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi, despite their reluctance, didn’t want to delay him any longer.

"Don’t hesitate to spend money," Lin Feng said. "Buy whatever you want, eat whatever you want."

"If you take good care of yourself, your mother and I will have peace of mind," he added.

Dabao nodded, unable to hide his sadness. "You too, take care of yourselves!"

Just then, Erbao returned with Xiaobao from their walk. When it was ti for the family to part, Xiaobao was so sad she burst into tears. Dabao promised he would buy her toys and take her to an amusent park when he ca back to visit.

Xiaobao just shook her head. "I want my brother!"

That single sentence shattered Dabao’s composure. It took a long ti to coax the little one into grudgingly agreeing.

Xiaobao sniffled. "Big Brother, you have to video call ! Every single night!"

Dabao promised, "Okay, I promise. Brother will definitely video call you every day."

On the way back, the family’s mood was somber. On the plane, Zhang Yuxi began to cry silently.

"What are you crying for?" Lin Feng said, comforting her. "It’s a step our kids have to take sooner or later. Besides, Dabao will definitely take good care of himself."

In theory, yes, everyone knew that.

From pregnancy to college, the little child she had watched grow up, bit by bit, had finally left ho.

Lin Feng hugged Zhang Yuxi. "It’s okay. We still have Erbao and the others, right?"

"When they go to college, we’ll still have Xiaobao. And when Xiaobao grows up, you’ll still have . I’ll always be with you."

Zhang Yuxi looked at Lin Feng tenderly. "You won’t leave , will you?"

Lin Feng chuckled. "How could I ever leave you? I’ll always be by your side."

Although Dabao was at college, he would still conduct his livestread tutoring sessions. The only difference now was that the cara was aid at his desk. He found this thod of teaching quite convenient, though his schedule beca more unpredictable. Erbao had explained the situation on Weibo, which was t with a flood of congratulations from their followers. Of course, mixed in were a few salty comnts from jealous trolls.

「Before long, the second sester of eleventh grade began.」

After this term, Sanbao would also be leaving Yangcheng to attend the university of his dreams. They essentially had guaranteed admission, so grades weren’t a major concern. Even so, they continued to study every day like ordinary high school students.

Even while busy with her studies, Erbao had plenty of other things to do: her livestread classes, managing the app, and her sponsored content. Nowadays, when it ca to sales ability in the livestreaming world, everyone knew Erbao’s na. Combined with the app’s fantastic feedback, she had built a huge reputation despite not being in the entertainnt industry. Over the short winter break alone, Erbao had earned a fortune. It was clear that she would soon beco the wealthiest of the four siblings.

Not long after the sester began, the annual Weibo Night event offered a huge sum to invite the four siblings to appear on stage together. Lin Feng politely declined on their behalf, though he made it clear he wouldn’t stop them if they wanted to go.

Dabao, now in Massachusetts, was focused solely on his studies and livestreams, with no desire for other distractions. Sanbao couldn’t be bothered with the hassle and preferred to stay ho, spend ti with Xiaobao, and play his drum set. Sibao, who loved the lilight, was tempted to go. But as an athlete, he felt out of place in the entertainnt industry. Plus, he had training camp coming up and decided it was better to conserve his energy.

Erbao’s managent of her Weibo account was exceedingly successful. Without her popularity on Weibo, her livestreams wouldn’t be so popular, nor would the app have as many users. So, of course she had to go—at least to make an appearance.

Once Erbao agreed to attend, everyone else’s attitude changed, and they all wanted to accompany her.

While eating fruit and teasing Xiaobao, Erbao laughed and said, "Why would you guys go with ? You should just stick to your own things!"

"I’ll be fine by myself, don’t worry. I’m a big girl now, I won’t get lost."

Sanbao was an artist who wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle to focus on his art. Sibao was busy, and Dabao was preoccupied with his studies. Erbao was pragmatic about the situation. As for Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi, she ruled them out imdiately. Mom and Dad are so low-key; with all the dia at a Weibo event, their presence would inevitably cause a disturbance.

After Erbao agreed, Weibo’s official account tagged her in a post. She responded in kind: ’It’s an honor to be invited. See you all at Weibo Night!’

Subsequently, the organizers sent over the ti, location, and other details. There was still a week to go, which was plenty of ti.
