Chapter 524: 524
To the boys in the family, Second Baby and Third Baby were little princesses. This was especially true for Third Baby; everyone at ho protected and cared for her, to say nothing of when they were out.
Trailing behind her were two handso young n, both over 1.8 ters tall and with completely different styles. One carried Third Baby’s backpack while the other held her milk tea, like a pair of personal bodyguards.
Then there was Second Baby, who carried her own backpack, held her own milk tea, and toted her own shopping bags. It wasn’t a matter of preferential treatnt; Second Baby simply felt it wasn’t necessary. Third Baby was her junior, and as the big sister, she felt it was her duty to look after her younger sibling.
As a set of quadruplets with exceptional looks, they were the center of attention wherever they went. They had been accustod to such stares for as long as they could rember.
When they spotted a tasty-looking snack, they would buy it to try. If sothing fun caught their eye, the siblings would eagerly go check it out, just like little kids.
"How about this," one of them suggested. "Let’s buy so gifts for our grandparents."
This proposal was t with unanimous approval, suddenly giving their shopping trip a sense of purpose.
"Let’s all decide what to buy together, what do you think?" Second Baby’s idea was t with enthusiastic agreent from the boys, who raised their hands high. Gift shopping was always a headache, but discussing it together would solve the problem.
Zhang Yuxi was in the middle of feeding the baby when she received a call from Third Baby.
"Mom, do you know Grandma Zhao’s and Grandma Zhou’s clothing sizes? We want to buy them New Year’s gifts."
"Grandma Zhou can wear a standard size. Grandma Zhao needs a size larger... hmm, an XXL should be fine, but get a XXXL if the cut seems small."
"What about our grandpas?"
"A standard size will be fine for both of them."
"Got it. I’ll hang up now."
Lin Feng was reading a book nearby and heard everything clearly, feeling moved by how thoughtful his children had beco.
The mall was filled with major brands, and the siblings discussed their options as they browsed. Eventually, they found themselves outside a store window.
"This style seems like it would suit our grandmas. Let’s go in and take a look."
Upon entering, they saw that the clothing was indeed designed for a more mature clientele, making it perfect for Zhao Lizhen and Zhou Cuilan. A staff mber ca over to greet them.
Second Baby waved her off. "Don’t worry about us, we can look around by ourselves."
Every move she made exuded a confident and graceful air rarely seen in children from ordinary families.
The staff mber smiled. "Alright. Just let
know if you see anything you like."
Second Baby nodded.
Surrounded by clothes, Big Baby and Fourth Baby wandered around with their sisters for a while. Seeing that the girls still hadn’t found anything they liked, the boys plopped down on the sofas in the rest area.
"Hmph." Second Baby pouted, linking arms with Third Baby. "We’ll have to look for ourselves. We can’t count on them."
Fourth Baby’s hearing was sharp, and he felt a little hurt. "How is that our fault? You shot down everything we pointed out. There was nothing we could do."
Big Baby nodded solemnly. "Yes, I suppose our aesthetic sensibilities are just different."
The siblings’ exchange did not go unnoticed by the staff, who began to gossip discreetly.
"Those four are gorgeous. But you think they actually have any money after browsing for so long?"
"What money could kids possibly have? Our brand isn’t cheap."
"Don’t be so sure. My brother’s kid got over 20,000 in lucky money last year alone."
"Exactly. My cousin’s children refuse to wear anything that isn’t a designer brand. They demand the best of everything."
"But look at them. Aside from their sneakers, they aren’t wearing any brand nas. How could they have money?"
"They’re probably just window shopping. Let them look. If they get anything dirty or damage it, they’ll just have to pay for it."
Ultimately, Second Baby and Third Baby settled on a long coat. Its most striking feature was the beautiful, expertly handcrafted embroidery. It cost 2,500 yuan and was available in khaki, bright red, and black.
Second Baby and Third Baby turned to the two boys on the sofa. "Of these three colors, which ones should we choose?"
"Let’s get the red one for Grandma Zhou; she likes bright colors," Big Baby said. "And the black one for Grandma Zhao; she prefers things that don’t show dirt."
Fourth Baby was quiet for a mont before saying, "All three colors are nice, so any of them would be a good choice. However, I think the dignified black suits Grandma Zhou and would really bring out her refined air. Red, on the other hand, would make her look younger."
Second Baby and Third Baby thought both boys had made good points. After so consideration, they decided on the black and red coats, skipping the khaki.
Second Baby saw the price: 2,500 yuan per coat. The total for everything they had picked out was almost 10,000 yuan. She quickly went to ask a clerk, "Is there a promotion on these? Can we get a discount?"
The salesperson smiled and shook her head. "I’m sorry, this is a new arrival, so there are no promotions."
Another clerk quickly added, "If you buy two, we can give you a silk scarf worth 300 yuan."
"Let
see the scarf," Second Baby said.
The scarf was beautiful and stylish. And so, they asked the clerk to wrap up all four items.
The sales staff were shocked that the kids actually had the money to buy everything, and their attitude instantly beca much more enthusiastic. "Is there anything else you’d like to look at?"
Second Baby shook her head. "We were only interested in this style."
When it was ti to pay, Big Baby stood up. "I’ll pay."
"I’ll get it! I’ll get it!" Fourth Baby insisted.
"It’s fine, I can handle it," said Third Baby.
"Let ," Big Baby repeated. "I’m the eldest."
Second Baby didn’t see the point. "What difference does it make who pays? Tell you what, whoever earns the most can pay."
"I make over a million a year, I guess," said Fourth Baby.
Second Baby said nonchalantly, "I make over two million a year."
Third Baby smiled demurely. "Sorry, I worked a bit harder this year and earned over three million."
Big Baby, who had no inco, was left speechless.
"..."
"Everyone step aside," Third Baby said with a smile. "This is my treat."
The sales staff were completely stunned. Were they joking? How could kids these days earn so much money?
Third Baby had a universal card that Lin Feng had gotten for her since she traveled abroad frequently. She was a very self-disciplined person, so she hadn’t brought the primary card, just her supplentary one. The supplentary card had a spending limit of 200,000 yuan.
After she paid, Fourth Baby took the shopping bags. "Let’s go."
It seed that among the siblings, who earned more and who earned less was no cause for jealousy or envy.
...
After the children left, the sales staff stared at each other in bewildernt. Was that for real? Kids that young earning millions a year? Since when did making money get so easy?
After a full day of shopping, they returned with their hands full of bags.
Zhang Yuxi walked over. "Let
see! What did you all buy?"
The couple was very pleased with their children’s taste.
"Mom, the dress in the white bag is yours. The other bag tied to it is Dad’s."
Zhang Yuxi was both surprised and delighted. "You got sothing for us, too?"
She eagerly opened the bag to find a long woolen dress with a zipper up the back. The weight of the fabric and the tailoring were both impeccable. It was a beautiful shade of green, with white and blue flowers embroidered only on the hem and cuffs. It was the kind of dress that one couldn’t pull off without the right figure and presence.
Zhang Yuxi instantly fell in love with it, all the more so because her children had picked it out for her. Holding it up against herself, she asked Lin Feng, "What do you think? Is it beautiful?"
Lin Feng nodded sincerely. "It’s beautiful!"
His gift was a coat, similar in style to one he already had in his closet, though this one was more understated. The black-and-white combination looked incredible on him.
"Dad looks handso no matter what he wears!" Second Baby praised.
With a model’s fra and handso features, he could make anything look fashionable.
Zhang Yuxi smiled. "Your grandparents are going to be so happy. Our babies are all grown up, buying gifts for everyone."
Normally, during holidays and festivals, it was the elders who bought things and gave money to the children.
In addition to the dress, the children had also bought her a bottle of won’s perfu.
"This can be for Little Bao when she’s older," Third Baby said with a laugh.
