Chapter 475: Chapter 475: People, Always Have to Change

The Mona Lisa in the Denon Wing, the Winged Victory of Samothrace at the top of the Daru staircase, and the Venus de Milo in Hall 36. These treasures were all must-sees.

There was also the vast oil painting of the coronation, and, just as before, a large crowd was standing in front of it.

Lin Feng lifted each of the children up in turn for a better view.

Sotis they were just there for the lively atmosphere, but the young guide’s explanations were vivid and interesting. The children loved it, each one listening with rapt attention.

One could easily spend an entire day here, but it was impossible to get a detailed introduction to every single work.

Lin Feng and his family had co at the perfect ti. There was an evening session on Wednesday, allowing them to stay until almost ten o’clock. Seeing that the children were still full of energy, they decided to stay a bit later.

The young guide was fun-loving and suggested many other places suitable for children.

After a thoroughly enjoyable day at the Louvre, Lin Feng took down the guide’s phone number. "Are you free tomorrow?"

"Of course! I’m at your service anyti."

Checking the ti, the guide noted it was only nine. "You could take a river cruise. There’s food on board, and the views from both sides are spectacular."

Lin Feng invited him along. "Can you co with us? It’s our first ti, so we need a guide."

"No problem at all!"

They rented a very expensive boat. Why? Because the food service was excellent, and Lin Feng wanted the children to eat well.

On deck, everyone sat down to enjoy the local delicacies while the young guide explained as he ate.

"This river flows through the heart of the city, and many famous buildings are situated along its banks. The north bank is called the Right Bank, which is the comrcial and political center. The south bank, known as the Left Bank, is ho to famous cafés and is filled with an artistic atmosphere."

"The river is spanned by nurous bridges, the most spectacular and ornate of which is the Pont Alexandre III."

The nightti scenery was incredibly beautiful.

Except for the four little ones, the older children all put down their food to gaze at the architecture lining the banks. Of course, this didn’t stop the youngest four from enjoying the view while they ate.

After a long day of sightseeing, everyone was tired. The young guide made a ’call ’ gesture.

"I’ll et you here at ten tomorrow. See you then!"

"Okay!"

He then waved goodbye to the four little ones. "Bye-bye! You’re all so beautiful and cute! My heart is lting because of you! Good night, little angels!"

As expected of France, huh...

Upon arriving at the hotel, the children had their baths and fell asleep the mont they hit their beds.

Zhang Yuxi frowned. "Darling, the children barely ate anything today."

Lin Feng felt a pang of sympathy. "You get so rest. I’ll go talk to the hotel staff and see if we can use the kitchen to make sothing for them."

Zhang Yuxi nodded.

Money made things simple. Lin Feng quickly received the hotel’s permission to prepare food for the children.

Miao Lang and Max had been gone for the past day or two. They were probably busy with other matters and would return to the hotel on the day of the competition.

「anwhile.」

Xiao Wen called Lin Jiajun. With a seven-hour ti difference, it was still afternoon over there.

Lin Jiajun had just been dozing, but he perked up imdiately upon seeing his son’s spirited expression on the screen.

"What did you get up to today?"

Xiao Wen vividly recounted his day’s experiences, and Lin Jiajun listened, enthralled.

"That’s great, my boy! The farthest your dad has ever traveled is Thailand! So, did you have fun today?"

Xiao Wen nodded emphatically. "It was amazing!"

He found himself unconsciously opening up to Lin Jiajun.

"I used to dislike studying history and geography, but now, I find them really interesting."

Lin Jiajun offered his encouragent. "Then study hard. The more you learn, the broader your horizons will beco."

Xiao Wen then told him about the boat trip. "Dad, the scenery on both sides was genuinely beautiful. When I start making money, I’ll take you there!"

"Deal!" Lin Jiajun bood in agreent. "That’s a promise. Don’t you forget it."

Xiao Wen smiled. "I won’t!"

Xiao Wen’s world had always been very small. It consisted of playing gas, watching videos on his phone, and going to school. He believed that was all his life, his world, would ever be. After all, his family had a house, a car, and savings, so his own future couldn’t be too bad. At the very least, he wouldn’t have to worry about buying a house. If he didn’t do well for himself, the worst that could happen was that he’d co back and open a small shop.

This was Xiao Wen’s deepest contingency plan for his life: as long as he didn’t starve, he would be fine. Therefore, he didn’t value academic performance; after all, he had a safety net.

But Xiao Wen was young and had seen and experienced very little. People are always bound to change.

「Early the next morning.」

Lin Feng went to the hotel’s kitchen to cook so congee and prepare a few side dishes for the children. A warm breakfast left the children feeling very satisfied.

That day, the young guide took them to see the Eiffel Tower, its beauty so striking it made one’s heart skip a beat.

"If you co at night, it’s even more beautiful. The entire tower lights up!"

The young man then looked at Lin Feng and whispered, "Are you feeling rich? We’re headed to the Champs-??lysées, ho to countless luxury brands!"

After all, when won go out, they love to shop till they drop.

Lin Feng smiled. "I have the money."

"Then let’s go!"

The young guide began his introduction. "It starts from the Place de la Concorde in the east and ends at the Place Charles de Gaulle—ho of the Arc de Triomphe—in the west, serving as the queen of the city’s many avenues. The avenue can be divided into two parts at the Rond-Point."

"The eastern section is primarily natural scenery, featuring flat, English-style lawns on both sides. We can stroll under the London plane trees; it’s all very poetic and picturesque. The western section is the comrcial district. It’s renowned far and wide for its dazzling array of world-famous brands."

"The sun is perfect right now, so let’s get going!"

This place was a street of pure luxury, with high-end goods everywhere.

The boys weren’t interested, but Erbao and Sanbao certainly were. Erbao was determined to beco a jewelry designer, so wherever there was jewelry, you would find her. And Sanbao, being a girl, couldn’t help but be drawn to shiny, dazzling things, no matter how zen her personality was.

Zhang Yuxi wasn’t very interested in buying clothes for herself, but she thought of buying sothing for both of their mothers. Zhao Lizhen was slim while Zhou Cuilan was a bit heavier, so she picked out a coat for each of them. She also bought one for Lin Feng and, on impulse, gifted the young guide a designer accessory from the store.

The young guide was pleasantly surprised. "Cool, I love it! You really shouldn’t have."

The design was unique and its shape was extravagant, which suited him perfectly.

Next, they went to a jewelry store.

The four little ones moved slowly along the counter, their eyes fixated on the displayed jewels and diamonds.

The boys, including Xiao Wen, sat on a sofa reading magazines.

As Lin Feng sat down, the young man pouted. "This might take a while. When won start shopping, it doesn’t end so easily."

"Let’s go," Zhang Yuxi said, walking over.

Lin Feng asked, "Didn’t you see anything you liked?"

How could she not? She wished she could buy out the entire store! But shopping still required a level head. Zhang Yuxi reminded herself that she already owned plenty of jewelry. There was no need to spend more money. Besides, if she were to buy sothing, it had to be an item she fell in love with at first sight.
