Chapter 469: Chapter 469 Accidentally eting Baby’s Friend
Soon after, the Second Baby arrived.
"Co on in, Mommy is just in the bathroom!"
Once the kids were all cleaned up, the boys didn’t need their hair blow-dried; it would dry on its own in no ti. Zhang Yuxi blew dry her daughters’ hair. The Third Baby’s hair was as smooth and soft as silk—truly exceptional. The Second Baby, on the other hand, had thick, coarse hair. It’s said that people with coarse hair are stubborn and have rcurial personalities. The Third Baby could just tie her own hair into a little braid, but the Second Baby’s hair took more ti to style. In the ti it took, Xiao Wen had already finished his bath and co out.
The equestrian club had a restaurant, so the Lin family decided to eat dinner there while enjoying so fruit. It was already eight o’clock, and driving back would take them close to an hour. If they cooked, it would likely be ten o’clock before they could eat, which was a bit late.
Lin Feng was growing fond of horseback riding. "Let’s co again tomorrow!" he said. He wanted to get used to it for a few days so he could gallop on a high-level course and experience the thrill of racing.
"Did you enjoy the horse riding?" Lin Feng asked Xiao Wen.
Xiao Wen nodded. "It’s fun! My horse was very gentle. The trainer taught
a few commands, and it was really obedient."
Lin Feng smiled. "Next ti we co, let’s ride the sa horses!"
The horse Lin Feng rode was an old, gentle one, which he found incredibly stable as a beginner. Perhaps it was just a matter of first impressions.
The restaurant was quite crowded. Lin Feng and his family found a table and ordered several specialty dishes, making sure to also ask for so milder options suitable for the children. Many other kids who had been riding were also in the restaurant, and they happened to run into Xiao Rui.
Xiao Rui gave off the impression of soone receiving an elite education and was now the class president of Class Seven. He used to be a gentle and cute kid, but now, in the third grade, he displayed a maturity beyond his peers. The person with him wasn’t his mother, so it must have been the family’s nanny. Since they had been classmates in kindergarten and now attended the sa elentary school, it was only proper to say hello.
"Xiao Rui!"
Xiao Rui, who was eating quietly, looked up at the sound of his na, and his eyes lit up. He ca over holding his bowl, with the nanny quickly following with his plate.
"Hello, Uncle, Auntie!" Xiao Rui was very well-mannered and polite. He looked at Xiao Wen and said, "Hello, big brother!"
Xiao Wen nodded. "Hello!"
The Fourth Baby’s eyes were fixed on Xiao Rui’s bowl. "Xiao Rui, what are you eating? How does it taste?"
"It’s alright, I guess," Xiao Rui replied. "The taste is just so-so." Then he added, "It’s not as delicious as what Uncle makes."
Xiao Rui had eaten at Lin Feng’s house a few tis back in kindergarten and rembered it fondly.
Lin Feng smiled slightly. "Is that so? You should co over to Uncle’s house when you’re free. I’ll cook whatever you want!"
Xiao Rui’s face broke into a grin. "Really? Then what’s your new address?"
"Have you been by our old place?"
A hint of shyness appeared on Xiao Rui’s face. "Mhm, I was passing by your house and thought I’d drop in to say hi. I was surprised when I didn’t see anyone, so I asked the security guard, and he told
you had moved!"
Lin Feng smiled. "Yeah, our new ho is in the western suburbs. You should co over and play when you have ti!"
The Fourth Baby eagerly chid in, "I planted tomatoes! They’ll grow into big tomato plants later!"
The Second Baby said with a grin, "I planted sweet peppers, the kind that tastes really sweet!"
Xiao Rui asked the Third Baby what she had planted. Busy eating her fruit, she replied, "Huh? I planted long beans."
Xiao Rui’s eyes curved into a smile. "I love long beans!"
The Fourth Baby chuckled. "And I love eating delicious things!"
Taking the cue, Xiao Rui said, "This is delicious, you can have so. All of you, go ahead, I haven’t touched it."
Just then, the dishes Lin Feng had ordered began to arrive one after another. Well, they were certainly diverse. They managed to make a simple dish look extravagant, successfully justifying its beautiful price tag. As for the taste... it was okay. Even after ordering so many dishes, the family wasn’t full, so they ordered a few more.
At eight-forty, the Lin family got in their car, ready to leave.
Xiao Rui waved. "Uncle, when are you coming horseback riding again? Can you call ?"
Lin Feng took out his phone. "What’s your number?"
After saving the number, Lin Feng promised to call the next ti they went riding or invite Xiao Rui over to their ho when they were free.
Xiao Rui waved. "Goodbye!" He glanced at the Third Baby and said softly, "Goodbye!"
The Third Baby was already deliriously tired and could only manage a groggy hum as she cracked open her eyes.
Except for Xiao Wen, all the children fell asleep in the car. A call ca from Lin Jiajun, but Lin Feng declined it and sent a WeChat ssage instead.
"Dad, I’m in the car, and the quads are asleep. It’s not convenient to talk right now."
"Okay, call
when you get back."
"Sure."
When they left ho earlier, they had hit rush hour and were stuck in traffic for over ten minutes. At this hour, however, the roads were clear. Aside from waiting at a few red lights, they drove without stopping.
Upon arriving ho, he called out to the children a few tis, but they were all still drowsy. There was no other choice but to carry them inside.
"Xiao Wen, you should get so rest, too," Lin Feng said. "We’ll take care of the quads!"
Xiao Wen was only in his first year of middle school; he didn’t have much strength. The quads had been taking nutrient supplents, and although they were third-graders, they were big enough to pass for fifth-graders. They were sprouting up so fast that even Zhang Yuxi couldn’t carry the little guys anymore. Her arms would start to ache in less than five minutes.
Lin Feng carried the children upstairs one by one. After he was done, he rembered the plants needed watering. By the ti he had finished everything, it was already past eleven. Zhang Yuxi had fallen asleep sitting on the couch.
Lin Feng shook his head. This silly girl. I told her to go to bed, but she insisted on waiting.
"Honey..."
"Hmm?"
"You guys can go horseback riding by yourselves tomorrow."
"You didn’t like it?"
"It was too bumpy..." Zhang Yuxi muttered drowsily.
Lin Feng chuckled and helped her get comfortable.
