「The next day.」
Lin Feng got up and prepared breakfast, calling the kids twice before they dragged themselves out of bed. Accustod to sleeping in, they still found it difficult to get up so early.
"You're almost late. You only have twenty-five minutes to wash up and eat."

It was the first day of school, so she couldn't very well stay in bed. She gave Lin Feng a slightly petulant look, as if to say, This is all your fault!
The couple took their children to school, joining the many other parents and students already on the road. The sound of morning exercises was already playing over the school's loudspeakers. After seeing their kids through the school gates, Zhang Yuxi smiled and said, "Do your best!"
Watching the children ascend the stairs until they disappeared from view, Zhang Yuxi felt a pang of wistfulness.
The two of them walked back hand in hand.
Lin Feng asked, "Do you want to go back to sleep for a bit?"
Zhang Yuxi yawned. "No need!"
"Today is Guo Guo's first day of kindergarten. I wonder if he'll cry and make a fuss."
At Mother An's insistence, An Lan had to observe a full sixty-day confinent period, ensuring she was properly recuperated before it ended. During this ti, Lin Feng was a huge help. Otherwise, An Lan would have had a much harder ti.
When they got ho, An Lan sent them a video that Liu Bo had forwarded to her. An Lan was still resting at ho, so Liu Bo had taken their son to kindergarten.
In the video, Guo Guo wasn't crying or fussing at all; he looked very happy! With his little backpack on, he bounced excitedly off to class.
An Lan shed the proud, emotional tears of a mother.

There was a private kindergarten right below their apartnt building, with an excellent environnt and curriculum. It was very convenient to just go downstairs to drop the child off.
However, around ten o'clock, An Lan sent a ssage. It said that Guo Guo had run all the way ho by himself, wailing!
An Lan called, her tone a mixture of amusent and exasperation. "I was only feeling relieved for about half an hour... and then my son ran ho! I didn't even know what was going on. I opened the door, and—lo and behold—there were my son and his teacher standing outside!"

Apparently, for the first activity, the teacher took the children to the playground to help them relax. Everything was going well. Suddenly, without any warning, Guo Guo bolted from the group, ran out of the classroom, and headed straight for a small gate that had been left open. They all watched as Guo Guo, on his short little legs, sprinted out of the school with the speed of a 100-ter dash. Everything happened so fast that no one had ti to react.
The first to respond was the teacher. She had seen her fair share of chaotic situations, and this one felt vaguely familiar. With a startled cry, she told the other teacher, "I'm going after him!"
At that mont, the teacher's face was pale with fright. The road was right across from the school! She was terrified that Guo Guo might dash into traffic and sothing terrible would happen.
When the teacher chased him out, she was relieved to see Guo Guo running safely on the sidewalk. He had even crossed at a green light. She paused for a second, then continued the pursuit.
Guo Guo, very familiar with the route, ran back to his residential complex and dashed upstairs. By this ti, the teacher had caught up with him. She followed him ho, feeling it was necessary to discuss the situation with his parents.
Zhang Yuxi was still shaken. "How did Guo Guo know the way ho?"
An Lan sighed. "Every ti we passed by the school, I would tell him that he would be studying there in the future! Over ti, he probably just rembered. Now the teacher and Liu Bo are talking in the living room, and Guo Guo is sleeping on my bed." Her tone was a mix of distress and helplessness. "I asked him why he ran back, and he said he didn't want to leave his mom and his little brother."
Zhang Yuxi's expression softened. "Take it slow. Guo Guo is smart and sensible. Just give him so ti to get used to it."
An Lan rubbed her temples. "Damn it, that reality check ca so fast it caught

Zhang Yuxi chuckled. "He's just a kid. You'll just have to talk to him about it so more. It's a good thing he's safe!"
"Exactly, I was nearly scared to death! Seriously..."
Zhang Yuxi hung up and told Lin Feng what had happened.
Lin Feng was also surprised. "That Guo Guo... I really didn't see that coming!"
Zhang Yuxi remarked, "Si Bao was so mischievous back then, but I've never seen him be that daring."
Lin Feng joked, "The main gate was probably closed back then. Otherwise, he might have run out long ago."
「At noon, they picked the kids up to eat at ho.」
When the children heard what happened, they looked at each other in disbelief.
Si Bao clicked his tongue. "Wow, our little brother Guo Guo is amazing!"
Da Bao nodded. "I didn't see that coming at all!"
Lin Feng cleared the table. "Let's video call him later and give little brother Guo Guo a good pep talk."
The quadruplets all agreed.
While Lin Feng washed the dishes in the kitchen, the kids made a video call to Guo Guo. The three "huskies" started by heaping praises on him, comnding him for his bravery that day!
Lin Feng, hearing this, felt sothing was off and ca over to see. "What are you guys talking about?"
Only then did the kids rember. Oh, right, we're supposed to give him a pep talk!
They quickly switched gears, taking turns trying to persuade him. Guo Guo was quite obedient and promised to behave at school that afternoon. The quadruplets promised that if he behaved well, each of them would give him a small gift. This cheered Guo Guo up imnsely.
"Okay, ti for a nap. Dad will call you later!"
When it was ti for the afternoon session, the quadruplets made another video call to supervise. Guo Guo was reluctantly getting ready for school.
Liu Bo held his son's hand, a wry smile on his face. "Son, school isn't that painful."
Ha ha ha, the real pain is yet to co.
"Don't pull such a long face. Cheer up!" Liu Bo said. He should enjoy it while he can; it's only kindergarten.
Guo Guo looked up at Liu Bo and asked, "The big brothers and sister said that if Guo Guo behaves well, they'll give
small gifts. Dad, will you give
a gift too?"
Liu Bo quickly responded, "Of course. If you behave well, Dad will buy you a toy car."
Guo Guo was thrilled! He went into the bedroom to bargain with An Lan.
"Sure," An Lan said, holding back a laugh. "But this is a one-ti reward only!"
Guo Guo nodded and reluctantly went to school.
This ti, the school gate was watched closely, and the teachers also kept a very close eye on Guo Guo. The afternoon passed without any further scares.
In the evening, the kids ca ho and ntioned sothing. Tian Tian had transferred from Modu to the quadruplets' school and was in Class 7. Xiao Rui was also in Class 7; he was another transfer student. This was because two students had left Class 7 this year, so it was the only class with open spots.
This term, Da Bao was still the class monitor, Er Bao was still the deputy class monitor, San Bao was the arts representative, and Si Bao was the sports representative.
San Bao was neutral about being the arts representative; she wasn't excited, but she didn't mind either. With most things, she would first focus on doing her duties well, and then she would do what she enjoyed. She could spend an entire afternoon in the rehearsal room without coming out, sotis even a whole day. She was very good at keeping her studies and her personal hobbies separate.
