Zhang Yuxi frowned and glanced at Lin Feng. After years of marriage, they still had a tacit understanding; she knew what he was thinking. She figured another parent must have picked her children.

Mr. Li smiled and said, "Alright, the results cannot be changed now."

"Parents, please turn around and face !"

"Children, please turn the other way! Don't turn back around until the teacher tells you to!"

Mr. Li gave the other two teachers a look, signaling them to remove the silk cloth.

"Okay, you can turn around now!"

This mont of truth brought joy to so families and sorrow to others. Lin Feng had correctly identified his children, but on the other side, the two fathers who had mistakenly chosen Er Bao and Si Bao were left a bit dazed.

As you may recall, the parents of the other two crying children were also present. Last ti, the mothers sat behind the cloth, but this ti it was two fathers doing the choosing, and they had both gotten it wrong. But fate still played a part, as they had both picked children from the very sa family!

And their own children were wailing! Both were little princesses, and they ran over to thump their dads.

"Daddy is a dummy! You didn't even see !"

"Daddy, I was right there! How could you not see ?"

The two grown n had to coax and comfort their daughters for a long ti before they finally cald down.

Er Bao, who had also been chosen by mistake, wasn't crying at all. He even comforted his classmate. "Don't cry. It's okay that they picked the wrong person. We'll switch back before lunch. This is part of the ga, you know? Look, I'm not crying. There's nothing to cry about!"

Lin Feng had ended up with one boy and one girl. They looked sowhat familiar, but he couldn't recall their nas.

Zhang Yuxi quickly went over to Er Bao and Si Bao. "Mommy didn't get to pick you. Are you upset?"

Er Bao and Si Bao said they weren't. They knew that soone had chosen them before their mother could, so it was perfectly normal that she hadn't been able to pick them.

"The success rate of parents picking their children this ti was still very high," Mr. Li said with a smile. "Next up, the parents will lead the children they've chosen to form new teams and complete this morning's gas. Okay, stand together in your family units!"

The children who were more dependent on their parents were unhappy, their little lips pouting.

Mr. Li explained, "This is a team ga, just like when we have a sports day. You team up with whoever you get matched with. Once we complete the tasks, you can return to your original families!"

The little boy Zhang Yuxi had chosen was nad Jiang An, a robust and energetic child. The little girl, nad Zhou Wenwen, was adorable. Both children recognized Lin Feng and called him Uncle Lin.

Their respective mothers ca over to comfort them.

"I'll be troubling you with my child, then!"

"My son is naughty. If he gets out of line, please be firm with him. Don't feel you have to be polite!"

Lin Feng smiled and shook his head. "You're being too kind!"

Next, he went over to have a word with the two families who were now looking after Er Bao and Si Bao.

After everyone had exchanged pleasantries and the children were mostly cald down, Mr. Li said with a laugh, "Alright, our first task is to sort out lunch. This will require each family unit to play a guessing ga. Parents will describe fruits and vegetables without saying their nas! You can describe their shape, but not their taste, okay! We have school staff waiting outside. The children will fetch the items they think match the description."

"Each family has eight questions for a total of eight points. The more points you score, the better your lunch will be! Since Mr. Lin's family now has four children, they will have sixteen questions. Each question is worth half a point. Now, co to the testing area! You can only describe each fruit or vegetable twice!"

Using the sa silk cloth from before, a small booth was set up. The families were divided into two groups to go inside. The goal was to finish before noon! If a child brought back the wrong item, they could simply try again on the next clue.

"Honey, you go in. I'm worried I won't be able to explain things clearly," Zhang Yuxi said.

Lin Feng thought for a mont. "How about we take turns each round? The result isn't important; it's the participation that counts."

Zhang Yuxi considered it. "Okay!"

It was the Lin family's turn. With sixteen questions in total, Lin Feng decided to start with five.

"Da Bao, this question is for you. It's red. So are this small, but they can also grow to be this big!"

"Si Bao, this one is for you. It's long and green, about this long, hangs on a vine, and sotis has a little yellow flower on the end."

"San Bao, this is your question. It's oval-shaped, purple on the outside and white on the inside, and it's filled with lots of little seeds, like sesa seeds!"

"Zhou Wenwen, this one's for you. Yours is like Da Bao's, but it's big and round, about the size of a small fist!"

"Jiang An, my friend, this one is for you. It has a green hat on top, and it's red underneath with a pointy end."

Lin Feng repeated each question twice. The children exchanged confused glances and set off.

Zhang Yuxi watched Lin Feng co out. "What were the questions? Let

see."

The answers were: cherry tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant, tomato, and chili pepper.

Lin Feng mused, "I'm not sure if they understood. They looked quite puzzled when they left."

Zhang Yuxi felt confident. "San Bao and the others occasionally help out in the kitchen. They definitely know so vegetables, so it shouldn't be a big problem!"

Just then, the father who had chosen Si Bao went into the booth.

Zhang Yuxi whispered, "I'm going to go listen."

The question that father received was "garlic."

He thought for a mont and began, "This thing is round, it's made up of individual pieces, and you have to peel its thin skin! The sll..."

A nearby teacher quickly stopped him. "Sorry, parent, no hints like that!"

The father asked Si Bao, "Did you understand?"

Si Bao said, "Uncle, could you say that again?"

He described it once more, this ti in a bit more detail. "You can peel it off, one clove at a ti! It's round!"

Si Bao thought for a mont. "Okay, I got it!"

The father asked uncertainly, "You really got it?"

Si Bao nodded. "Yeah, I know! I'm going!"

The father could only say, "...Alright then!"

Zhang Yuxi thought it was a mangosteen.

"Honey, what do you think it is?" she asked.

Lin Feng said, "Probably garlic, but it could also be an orange, since the father didn't describe its color."

A short while later, Er Bao also went inside. This ti, it was a mother gesturing as she spoke.

"Um, this thing is kind of black and small, and you can grind it into a powder!"

Er Bao thought for a mont. "I know this one!"

The mother described it again.

Er Bao gave her a crisp OK hand gesture. "I'm off, Aunty! Wait for my good news!"

And just like that, the first round ended. Afterward, the children each brought back different items and gave them to their group's teacher to be checked. So had guessed correctly, while others would have to try again on a new clue.
