「The next morning.」
Zhou Cuilan secretly found Lin Feng and asked him when they were leaving.
"I've packed my things."
Lin Feng greeted Zhang Yuxi. "Honey, I'll leave the babies with you. We'll be back as soon as we're done."

Jiang Qian had already driven her car to the apartnt building.
"Auntie, Lin Feng, you're here."
Zhou Cuilan recognized Jiang Qian; they had t a few tis before.
Jiang Qian drove them to the property transaction center. The property owner had been waiting for a long ti, along with Jiang Anmin and Su Qiqi. Jiang Qian knew the people there, so they didn't need to wait in line to handle their business.
The property owner was sowhat surprised when he saw Zhou Cuilan and Lin Feng.
"It's you?" How the tables have turned, he thought. He had bought the house from them, and now he was selling it back. He couldn't help but feel emotional about it.
After signing the contract and completing the transfer procedures, Zhou Cuilan stared at the property deed, beginning to imagine the look on her husband's face when he found out.
As they were leaving, Jiang Anmin said to Lin Feng, "Let's hang out soti when you're free."
Lin Feng nodded. "Sure."
Jiang Qian said with a smile, "If you want to buy a house or a comrcial property in the future, you can co to , too."
Lin Feng nodded again.
Looking at the beautiful weather, Zhou Cuilan said, "Alright, let's head ho!"
They had expected to be gone for only half an hour, but it was already nearly noon. Lin Dashan had called them nurous tis, and they were only now able to call him back.
The call connected. "Your daughter-in-law and I already had so noodles," Lin Dashan said. "You'll have to cook for yourselves when you get back."

"Are you blind? Your daughter-in-law is breastfeeding our grandchildren, and you fed her plain noodles?"

Zhou Cuilan hung up and started to complain, "He can't do this, he can't do that." This was just how the couple was. They seed to look down on each other on the surface, but they were actually very much in love.
When they got ho, Lin Feng rolled up his sleeves and got busy in the kitchen.
Zhang Yuxi ca over, looking pitiful. "Honey, can you make sothing for
too? The noodles Dad made were a little... too healthy."
Before long, Lin Dashan ca in as well. "Son, make so for , too."
It's not that the noodles were too healthy, Lin Feng suspected. They were just awful!
In less than half an hour, the tomato beef noodles were ready. Sprinkled with chopped green onions, they slled delicious.

"Lin Jie is eating at his teacher's house. He won't be back until eight tonight," Lin Dashan said while eating.
After the al, Lin Dashan lay contentedly on the sofa, petting their chubby cat, Fatty, while playing with his grandchildren.
"Where did you and Lin Feng go today? I called and you didn't pick up!" Lin Dashan shouted toward the other room.
But Zhou Cuilan completely ignored him and continued to fold clothes.
Has her nopause flared up again? Lin Dashan wondered. She's been acting so strangely these last few days!

They had bought their old villa back.
It seed they wouldn't be able to celebrate the New Year in their current apartnt. With less than five days until the New Year, they definitely had to move their things. The tricky part was doing it without Lin Dashan finding out.
That afternoon, however, a business associate called Lin Dashan to discuss a deal. What was there to wait for? Making money was the priority! Besides, the man was an acquaintance.
After Lin Dashan left, Zhou Cuilan packed their belongings while Lin Feng contacted a moving company. They spent the entire afternoon packing and finally had everything ready for the movers. Zhang Yuxi took care of the babies while Lin Feng went with the movers and Zhou Cuilan finished packing up the last of their things. After two trips back and forth, the apartnt was empty.
When Lin Dashan and Lin Jie returned, they were utterly dumbfounded. With the New Year just days away... had their ho been robbed?
The friend who had co back with him peered inside, his mouth agape. "Old Lin... your place wasn't robbed, was it?"
"I... I don't know..." Lin Dashan stamred.
Lin Jie shook his head. "I don't think so. There's always soone ho, so how could we have been robbed?"
Just then, Zhou Cuilan called him. After Lin Jie heard the news, his expression lit up with surprise. But when he heard he had to keep it a secret from his father, his expression imdiately beca calm again.
"Whose call was that?" Lin Dashan asked.
"That was Mom. She told
to take you to the new house. We've moved."
At that, Lin Dashan was ready to explode. "Moved? Why didn't anyone tell ?" he roared. "What's the point of sneaking around like a bunch of thieves? Do you find this funny?"
"Co on, take
there right now! I'm going to have a serious talk with your mother."
Lin Dashan had been drinking and couldn't drive, so they had to take a taxi. Lin Jie whispered an address to the driver.
Lin Dashan sat in the back seat, sulking like a child. His friend chuckled and tried to comfort him. "Don't be like that. I'm sure they have a good reason for this."
Lin Dashan felt that he had lost face completely. A friend had co to visit, only to find his ho emptied out! He was the head of the family, and no one had even bothered to tell him!
When the taxi pulled up to a familiar location, Lin Dashan sat bolt upright. "Driver, did you take a wrong turn?"
The driver ignored him. Lin Jie paid the fare, and the taxi drove away.
Lin Dashan stood dazedly outside the gated community. A cold breeze blew past, sobering him up considerably.
"Let's go, Dad."
"Go where? Aren't we going to the new house?"
"Um, just co with ."
An idea suddenly occurred to Lin Dashan, but he quickly dismissed it as impossible.
His friend exclaid from behind him, "Isn't this your old house? Are you here to pay them a New Year's visit?"
Lin Dashan was exasperated. Pay a New Year's visit, my foot!
Lin Feng's RV was parked outside the villa, which confused Lin Dashan even more.
Lin Jie knocked on the door, and Zhou Cuilan opened it. Together, they supported Lin Dashan by his arms and led him straight into the villa.
He entered the house in a daze, only to find that all the missing furniture and belongings from their apartnt were already arranged inside. What is going on?
Zhou Cuilan smiled. "Well? Surprised? Bet you didn't expect this!"
Lin Dashan was astonished. "What do you an?"
Zhou Cuilan glared at him, annoyed. "Are you dense? Can't you tell? Lin Feng bought the house."
Lin Dashan's face was flushed, likely from drinking with his friend.
Zhou Cuilan continued to tease him, "What's the matter? Did you drink yourself stupid?"
Lin Dashan paused. "Then... what about the people who were living here?"
"They happened to be selling the house, so Lin Feng bought it," Zhou Cuilan explained simply.
Only then did Zhou Cuilan notice the middle-aged man standing beside Lin Dashan. "Oh, Boss Lai! Long ti no see! I heard you went out of town on business?"
"Yes. The mont I returned, I called Old Lin to talk business. We had a few drinks, and when I brought him ho, I found you'd all moved," Boss Lai replied.
Zhou Cuilan chuckled. "We just wanted to tease him a little. The kids said they wanted to give him a surprise."
Lin Dashan sat on the sofa, covering his face without a word. No one could see his expression, but those present had known him long enough to understand he was crying tears of joy.
Boss Lai patted his shoulder. "Old Lin, your son's grown up and successful. You should be happy."
Lin Dashan nodded, wiping his eyes before lowering his hands. His emotions were under control, but his eyes were red, as if he might cry again at any mont.
"Boss Lai, I've made a fool of myself in front of you," he said, his voice thick with emotion.
"Don't say that. What haven't I seen? I rember you howling on the side of the road back when you hit rock bottom."
Lin Dashan's expression changed, his sadness vanishing in an instant. "Boss Lai, it's not right to dredge up soone's embarrassing past like that."
"I was just trying to lighten the mood."
"Well, thanks so much for that," Lin Dashan said drily.
Boss Lai stood up. "It's getting late. I should be heading ho."
Zhou Cuilan tried to persuade him to stay. "Sit for a while longer. Have so tea before you go."
"So other ti. I just got off the plane today and ca straight here to see Old Lin about business. I haven't even been ho yet! You know my wife—she's got quite a temper. If I'm any later, she'll start thinking I'm keeping a woman on the side!"
Hearing this, Lin Dashan chuckled. "You're a grown man, afraid of your wife. Aren't you worried people will laugh at you?"
Boss Lai laughed heartily. "You've got so nerve saying that to ! Sister-in-law, I'll be leaving now. I'll drop by again another day."
"Take care," Zhou Cuilan said, seeing him to the door.
Back inside, she saw Lin Dashan wandering around, touching this and that. This was the ho he had poured his heart and soul into decorating. After all the twists and turns, they had co full circle.
He grew sentintal, his eyes welling up with tears. "That boy, Lin Feng... he's really grown up. He's so successful now..."
"It's just like you said," Zhou Cuilan said, coming over to gently pat his shoulder. "Aren't things getting better and better for us?"
Lin Dashan nodded. "Buying this house back... my life is finally complete!"
"Bite your tongue! What kind of talk is that during the New Year!" Zhou Cuilan glared at him fiercely.
