A black Porsche car drove under the streetlights.

The pedestrians along the side roads couldn’t help but take a glance.

Such a car was sothing most of them wished for.

It soon left their sight, heading deep into the city.

It reached a secluded area, devoid of pedestrians. A gate blocked its way as it slowly ca to a halt.

The security n saw its arrival and walked toward the car.

ng Lingxue, who was driving, lowered the window and turned to the security man who approached her.

When the security man saw her, he shivered and slowly bowed. "Welco, young miss."

He quickly waved for the other security man to open the gate, who imdiately complied.

anwhile, Long Tian’s eyes were on the security n. With his Mystic Dragon Eye, he could see that they possessed hidden strength and were stronger than a hundred grown n.

This didn’t surprise him, considering the few encounters he had experienced and the fact that ng Lingxue was a cultivator.

She drove inside. Long Tian looked through the windscreen and saw a large mansion.

Due to his sharp eyesight and the lights of the mansion, he was able to make it out clearly in the night.

Estimating the remaining distance, Long Tian realized it was still quite far.

This surprised him and made him wonder just how large the place actually was.

As the car moved closer, the mansion gradually beca clearer, growing larger in his sight.

After a while, they finally arrived.

Long Tian stepped out and looked ahead.

A large mansion stood before him, simple yet elegant in design. It was surrounded by a well-maintained garden filled with blooming flowers and neatly trimd hedges.

Not far from the entrance, a small stone fountain quietly flowed, the sound of water adding a calm rhythm to the surroundings.

To one side, a narrow artificial stream ran through the garden, its clear water gliding over smooth rocks like a miniature waterfall.

A paved path stretched from the gate to the front door, clean and orderly, with trees lined along the sides, providing shade.

The entire place felt peaceful and refined, not overly luxurious, but clearly belonging to a wealthy household.

Long Tian observed it silently for a mont before looking away.

She drove around the small fountain, stopping at the entrance of the mansion.

They both alighted from the car. Long Tian looked at the mansion doors, where two n stood guard.

Their strength was twice that of the security n at the gate.

ng Lingxue handed them the car key as they opened the door for them to enter.

As they went inside, one of the n got into the car and drove it away from the entrance.

anwhile, Long Tian looked at the interior of the mansion as they stepped in.

The interior was spacious and neatly arranged, giving off a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The living room was wide, with soft lighting hanging from the ceiling, illuminating the polished floor beneath his feet.

A set of well-arranged sofas sat in the center, facing a low wooden table. Everything was placed with care without feeling crowded.

On one side, a large window allowed natural light to stream in, offering a clear view of the garden outside. The faint sound of flowing water from the fountain could still be heard, blending gently with the silence indoors.

A staircase curved upward along the wall, its railing smooth and clean, leading to the upper floor.

Simple decorations were placed around the room: a few paintings on the wall, a vase of fresh flowers on a table, and shelves holding neatly arranged items.

The air carried a faint, clean scent, making the entire space feel fresh and lived-in.

It wasn’t overly luxurious, but everything about it spoke of quiet wealth and order.

He slowly sat down on the sofa, while ng Lingxue headed further inside.

Out of boredom, he casually used his phone.

A few minutes passed before he heard the echoes of footsteps.

He turned toward the entrance walkway and saw a group of people dressed in an affluent manner.

They also noticed him and were surprised by his presence, as it was the first ti they had seen his face.

It was a middle-aged man, a middle-aged woman, and two young n in their late twenties.

They sized Long Tian up from head to toe. Upon seeing his face, one of the young n leaned over and whispered sothing into his father’s ear.

It did not escape Long Tian’s hearing.

"Dad, that’s the man Lingxue married," the son reminded his father.

Imdiately, the father’s expression turned to disdain, as if Long Tian were sothing filthy.

"Young man, who are you?" he asked, pretending not to know him.

Long Tian shook his head at their behavior.

He let out a sarcastic chuckle. "Hasn’t your son told you? Or do you have a problem with your hearing?"

The son looked at Long Tian in shock, wondering how he had heard their words.

The father’s face turned red with anger.

"Nice, nice. It seems ng Lingxue has picked a good husband," the father said sarcastically.

"Of course. She can never find a husband as good as ," Long Tian replied, puffing out his chest arrogantly.

The family snorted, no longer bothering with him as they climbed the stairs and headed upstairs.

Long Tian watched them leave his sight.

He let out a faint breath. It seed he had placed too much expectation on ng Lingxue’s relatives.

He had thought they would be wise, but in the struggle for inheritance, it seed people could lose their judgnt.

He knew they wanted to taunt and ridicule him, but he gave them no opportunity, forcing them to give up and leave.

A display of strength was what they wanted.

But who was he?

If not for the old man, he might have responded more harshly, and they certainly wouldn’t have liked the outco.
