"Good morning."
It was another day. Long Tian walked into his office.
He imdiately beca the center of attention, everyone’s faces full of smiles.
As soone personally recomnded by the CEO, he had already beco a hot topic among the staff.
He exchanged greetings with them casually. His office consisted of a shared desk arrangent with his colleagues.
He was dressed in a white shirt and black trousers. On his desk, he noticed several docunts neatly placed there.
When he checked them, he realized they contained everything he needed to know about his position as the company’s sales representative.
As he was reading, he heard the sound of a chair being pulled.
He looked to his right and saw a young woman who had just arrived.
She had a beautiful face; her curly brown hair and bright eyes were striking. For a brief mont, everyone’s gaze shifted toward her before returning to their work.
But her beauty did not interest him.
What truly caught his attention was that her physical appearance and presence were far beyond that of an average person.
He knew such strength could not be built in a gym.
Still, he was not the type to pry into other people’s secrets.
She suddenly felt his gaze on her and turned slightly, surprised.
"A new face..."
Her eyes landed on the docunts Long Tian was reading.
"Wow, a new recruit." She grinned, her expression full of playful amusent.
"Yeah. My na is Long Tian. Nice to et you." He stretched out his hand.
"Murong Chen." She shook his hand firmly.
He nodded and returned to reading.
Within a few minutes, he finished going through the docunts. Now he had a basic understanding of the responsibilities of a sales representative.
Suddenly, he felt a hand land on his shoulder.
The unexpected touch startled him, and his body reacted subconsciously.
A flash of killing intent flickered through his eyes for a split second.
Murong Chen froze slightly, looking at him in surprise.
"Oh? So you’re the one recomnded by our CEO." She leaned closer. "How did you et her? Are you lovers?"
Her rapid barrage of questions forced a faint smile onto his face.
He waved his hand. "No. Our relationship isn’t like that. I did her a favor, and she repaid by recomnding for this job."
"Wow. What favor?"
Long Tian coughed lightly, clearly not expecting that question. No one usually dared to probe into matters concerning the CEO.
Seeing her expression full of curiosity, he felt montarily helpless. He hadn’t prepared an answer.
"Ahem... that’s a secret." He shrugged.
Murong Chen clicked her tongue in disappointnt before returning to her seat.
However, she glanced at him again.
The killing intent he released earlier had not escaped her notice.
It seed Long Tian was far from ordinary.
"Have the people from Darwin Company paid us our money? The paynt deadline has already passed, yet they’ve made no move." Murong Chen asked the young man sitting opposite her.
"No, Team Leader. They haven’t," the young man replied.
Long Tian looked at her in surprise. He hadn’t expected her to be the team leader.
The sales departnt was divided into several teams. Each team shared an office and was led by a team leader.
Murong Chen slowly clenched her fists.
"It seems they think we’re joking."
Her expression turned cold and ferocious.
"Long Tian, follow . Today, I’ll teach you how to handle situations like this."
Long Tian was stunned, unsure why he had to go.
But when she shot him a sharp look, he had no choice but to comply.
Within monts, he found himself standing in front of a Bugatti.
"Get in," Murong Chen said as she opened the driver’s door.
Long Tian opened the passenger door and got inside.
The engine roared to life, and the car sped out of the company premises.
An hour later, they arrived at their destination.
Long Tian looked at the building before him. It appeared deserted.
Although the structure itself was intact, there were barely any people around.
"Let’s go," Murong Chen said as she stepped out of the car.
Long Tian followed.
As they approached the gate, two tattooed, burly n stepped forward to block their path.
Long Tian assessed them quickly. They looked like gang mbers.
He frowned slightly.
Was this a company... or a gang’s base?
Murong Chen showed no surprise at their appearance.
"Tell your boss that Murong Chen from Glacier Crown Corporation is here to visit," she said calmly.
The two n stared at her, their eyes widening as their bodies involuntarily took a few steps backward.
Long Tian raised his eyebrows. He could see fear flash in their eyes. Were they afraid of Murong Chen?
They both coughed, trying to steady themselves, and one of them asked,
"Aren’t you the one who ca three weeks ago?"
She nodded.
They exchanged glances before one of them hurried inside to deliver the ssage.
Inside the building, in a large office, a young man sat on a chair while two burly n fanned him, attending to his every need.
He had piercings on almost every part of his body, with a lion tattoo on his right arm.
Suddenly, the door burst open, startling the young man so badly that he fell from his chair.
He looked up and saw that it was one of the n who stood guard at the gate. His anger flared instantly.
"Why the hell were you running like that? Do you want to die?" the young man roared angrily.
The burly man blurted out, "Boss, that woman has appeared again."
The young man’s expression froze. "Which woman?"
"The one who ca three weeks ago, delivering a debt notice and easily dealing with three of our n," the burly man replied hastily.
The young man’s expression turned aghast before he slowly cald himself and sat back in his chair, deep in thought.
"Boss, what should I do?" the burly man asked when he noticed his boss had been silent for more than five minutes.
"Let them in."
"But Boss..."
"Gather all our n. I refuse to believe she can fight all of us at once."
The boss’s gaze turned chilly, his expression ferocious.
He did not plan on letting them leave here safely.
