"All of you listen carefully, this is the story of how I, Li Yu, died and ca back alive as a new being." The group exchanged strange glances when they heard that statent.
What was Li Yu saying? Was he really claiming that he had died and co back alive? It really didn’t make any sense. Li Yu saw their weird gazes.
Even Yuexin had a confused expression written all over her face. Li Yu grinned internally at their expressions. Ti to give them all a shocker. "So, which one do you guys want to hear?
The short version of the story or the long version?" Li Yu asked, his expression serious. Li Jie, who really didn’t feel like listening to any long, boring story right now, spoke up first. "The shorter version will be appreciated," he said.
Li Yu nodded and started. "I entered the Beast Forest in order to undergo the legendary Reawakening," Li Yu began. "It is said that pushing one’s body into extre situations over and over again will trigger the Reawakening, and a spirit root will be reborn anew."
"Wait, is it real?" Xie cut him off, his eyes wide. "Do you battle and battle, facing death over and over again, and finally undergo a Reawakening? That’s unbelievable." It truly was unbelievable.
That legend had always been considered nothing more than a fairy tale. No one had ever verified it, and no one was crazy or brave enough to try it out. Well... except Li Yu.

"You said you died," Li Feng was the one who spoke this ti. Despite looking stunned, his gaze remained calm. "If you really died, then why are we seeing you here in front of us?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, that." Li Yu rubbed his chin before replying smoothly.
"Well, I already told you, didn’t I? I died and then ca back alive. Let continue my story. I, Li Yu, died at the sa ti that I, Rayden, died as well in another dinsion that is parallel to this one. Wait a mont. I don’t know if it’s parallel or not, but it is like this world. Although that world is fundantally different, since this one is based on cultivation fantasy novels and stories." The group stared at him as if he wasn’t making any sense.
And maybe he wasn’t. But he still needed to finish his story. "So, in this parallel-or-whatever world where the other is from, I died saving kids from a burning building. Due to my heroic deeds, all the kids got to live another day. But I didn’t make it. So yeah, I died in that world as well. And then what happened next?" Li Yu rubbed his chin thoughtfully before continuing.
"Oh yeah. I t two powerful beings that called themselves Monarchs. Those two were overpowered since they seed to control everything in existence. But they argued and bickered like little kids. Only the gods know how we’re all still surviving with those two ruling existence. So yeah, we had a nice chat. And the two of them looked stunned by my ultimate heroic performance."
"They were like, ’This guy is rare and irreplaceable.’ So after giving a powerful cheat... which all protagonists in ani get... they decided to send my soul into my body here, which had just been killed by a powerful beast. "

"Oh yeah. After coming back alive once more, I beca so powerful and felt invincible. So I went around hunting and causing terror. And that I did for a while. But it beca boring. Not entering situations that could threaten my life turned out to be kind of boring. So I decided to go and disturb an extrely powerful beast that was practically a death flag for any Body Refinent cultivator. So yeah. I probably shouldn’t have provoked it. But I did anyway. What can it do?"
Li Yu’s expression beca solemn as he continued. "Actually, what it did was horrible. That bastard chased for so long. Crushed a few of my bones. Hunted like prey. It seed completely determined to crush and then eat . Guess what happened next?"
"Let guess," Xie said with clear sarcasm in his tone. "Sohow, you summoned a mighty legendary beast to take care of it and kill it for you." Li Yu turned toward him with a surprised expression. "How do you know?"
Li Xie’s face fell. Wait. Was he seriously saying that was what happened? Li Yu shook his head and explained. "Actually, I tricked the beast into the territory of another beast. This one happened to be soone I had known for quite a while. The stronger and more feral beast fought the snake. And with my brilliant tactical assistance, the beast helped deal with it and ripped its massive head right off." Li Yu nodded proudly after finishing that part.
"Justice was taken for ." Li Yu bead before his face darkened slightly. "But I had more plans, you see. That bastard taking justice for wasn’t particularly a friend of mine. The beating I received from the snake was actually because I really itched to kill it. Since, well, the bastard was the one that killed before I ca back alive as a new being, I decided to take revenge."
"And after healing from the previous beating the snake had dealt , I entered another deadly fight with the Saber Panther." The group all stared at him as if he were crazy. Were they really supposed to believe this story he was telling them? Li Yu wasn’t done though.
He simply continued. "The battle took a while, but I ultimately won. After all, I am the superior one." Li Yu declared proudly. "Then after that, I got a few rewards from this mysterious gaming thing in front of ."
The group looked toward where he was pointing, but they didn’t see anything. The more they heard from Li Yu, the more convinced they beca that he must have hit his head hard and lost half of his ntal faculties.
He seed to be very, very mad right now. Seeing their confused gazes, Li Yu smiled and waved it off. "You guys can’t see it. Only I can see the blue screen before .
So after killing that beast that killed .. Isn’t it ironic? I ca back from the dead and killed the beast that killed ." "Where is that beast?" Jie asked, looking at Li Yu.
If he could get the core of a beast that was supposedly a Kingly Spirit Beast, then he would be able to sell it for a very high price. At least that was assuming half of what Li Yu was saying was sohow true.
Li Yu raised an eyebrow. "Well, I killed him and he is dead. And he stay dead. No one can be as aweso as and co back from the dead, you know. And if you’re asking about that bastard’s body, well, it’s long gone."
Li Yu patted his stomach. "I roasted it and ate him. The bastard’s at was quite tasty, even." Jie went silent, his eyes twitching. "Also, after that fight I almost died again, but then poof... a pill was fed to by this gaming blue screen without my permission.
Yet that mysterious pill healed all my injuries and brought back from the brink of death. What happened after that? Oh yeah. I leveled up. How can I explain it to all of you? It’s like breaking through, but fundantally different.
So I leveled up, got a few benefits here and there, beca even more powerful, and got myself so cool ani clothing." Li Yu looked down at his outfit proudly.
"Then I pretty much just ate a few beast cores and broke into the Peak Body Refinent Realm. Oh, I almost forgot. That is how I refine my body. I don’t have access to what is normally used, so I just kill beasts here and there and eat their cores. Then I get stronger. So after a month of repeatedly eating those, I reached the Peak Body Refinent Realm."
"After that, I guess I decided to kill all the beasts in this section of the forest while they were having a eting discussing how they could bring an end to my tyranny. The poor bastards seed to have grown tired of my presence."
Li Yu smiled as he shook his head. "I don’t even do anything wicked. I just kill a few of them here and there and roast their at. Those beast ats are crisp and crunchy, really. You guys need to try them out soti."
Li Feng turned his face away. He was losing brain cells listening to this story. Li Yu continued calmly. "So seeing that they wanted to kill a nice, gentle guy like , I acted first and killed as many as I could. I think it was during that ti that you guys ca over.
Well..." Li Yu rubbed his chin one more ti before nodding. "Yes. That is all. That is the shorter version." He looked around at the group’s stunned expressions before smiling brightly. "So... Do you guys still want to hear the long version?"p
