Tang Chuxia thought it was because Madam Tang had co back, but after thinking it through, the problem definitely wasn’t that simple.

Tang Wanqiu imdiately asked, “What’s wrong with green beans? Does she not like them?”

Mother and daughter walked hand-in-hand back into the house.
As soon as they went out, they indeed saw Qin Zhan already waiting for them in his car.
Gu Nanzhi waved at them.
Tang Chuxia and licorice both got into the car.
Once the car started, Tang Chuxia and licorice opened the small boxes Tang Wanqiu handed them, filled with pastries that looked homade, as they hadn’t seen such shapes sold anywhere else.
“Damn, she made these?” exclaid Gu Nanzhi.
Tang Chuxia nodded.
Licorice wondered, “Did she not rest all last night?”
Tang Chuxia sighed, “This sister is really overwhelming!”
Gu Nanzhi poked her, “Your reaction is a bit off, she’s your own sister!”
Tang Chuxia scoffed, “Have you seen anyone who cos back claiming kin, doesn’t ntion a word about their missing years, and tries hard to please the family that never took care of her?”
That just didn’t make sense.
There was definitely sothing off with Tang Wanqiu, but Tang Chuxia couldn’t pinpoint the exact problem yet, so she had to keep observing.
“Can we eat these pastries?”
Gu Nanzhi pinched a pastry and asked Tang Chuxia.
Tang Chuxia nodded, “Shouldn’t be poisoned, but why don’t you try it first to see if it’s safe?”
