Tang Chuxia woke up to find Gu Beihuai with a dark expression on his face, not saying a word for a long ti. She knew she must have slept for quite a while.
"Um, does my family know yet?"
She just wanted to ask, not to worry Gu Beihuai.
However, Gu Beihuai looked at her with a deep gaze and only after a long while did he say, "You still think to ask about that?"
Tang Chuxia chuckled awkwardly, "Well, how could I not ask? After all, they are my family!"
Gu Beihuai snorted, "Your mom isn’t ho, so she definitely doesn’t know. Your little brother is still at the factory and hasn’t co ho. As for your dad, he knows, but he just ca and left!"
Tang Chuxia: ...
Was her standing in her family so low that it was unnecessary to maintain?
Tang Chuxia sighed, "Well, it’s already like this. Let’s just let them be."
"How long did I sleep?"
She was really afraid of having slept for a month or sothing, but fortunately, Gu Beihuai said, "Two days!"
Two days wasn’t too bad.
Tang Chuxia, feeling her growling stomach, realized she needed to take care of so physiological needs.
When she ca out of the washroom, the table was set with white porridge and so food.
Gu Beihuai helped her clean her hands and told her to eat sothing first.
"Can you try not to be so reckless in the future? This kind of thing is not sothing you should be dealing with."
Tang Chuxia laughed awkwardly!
She was well aware of her own physical condition, but so things were just unavoidable.
Gu Beihuai knew she wasn’t listening just by her silence.
"Forget it, it’s useless whatever I say, you won’t listen. Get ready and co with in a while. Yang Chao’s funeral has started, let’s go pay our respects for 15 minutes!"
Tang Chuxia didn’t refuse. She had slept well and felt quite recovered; going to check the situation wasn’t a bad idea.
"By the way, I previously said I was going to ask Yang Chao about his cousin’s issue. What exactly happened?"
Gu Beihuai handed Tang Chuxia a cup of water to rinse her mouth before slowly explaining, "You want to know how Yang Chao’s cousin got the news, right?"
Tang Chuxia nodded.
Though Jin Haidong ntioned that soone delivered a ssage, they still needed to find the sender, right?
Gu Beihuai glanced at Tang Chuxia, "It’s not certain who sent the letter, but it’s clear that they were sohow notified beforehand."
It was like having a program schedule announced before the show begins.
The ntality of such people was probably sick.
"Was the funeral for the two people held together?"
Tang Chuxia was a bit gossipy, knowing it was not really appropriate, yet she couldn’t help herself.
Gu Beihuai nodded, "Otherwise? They died together, and they had actually gotten their marriage certificates before they died!"
Though officially they were siblings, the woman was a girl adopted by Yang Chao’s parents, and they had managed to de-register her familial relation and completed their marriage registration before the incident—aning, on the day they died, it was actually their marriage registration day.
There seed to be so connection in this matter.
"It couldn’t possibly be that they were killed because they had just married, could it?"
Tang Chuxia rubbed her chin as Gu Beihuai cleaned the crumbs from the corner of her mouth and brought out new clothes for her to change into, then he instructed, "Not sure, let’s go and see first!"
After changing her clothes, Tang Chuxia held onto Gu Beihuai’s wrist, "You can read minds, so can you sync-read the minds of the people at the scene?"
Gu Beihuai: ...
Was he so kind of machine?
How could she co up with such an idea?
Gu Beihuai shook his head, "I can’t do that!"
Tang Chuxia clicked her tongue, "Forget it, I was just curious!"
She just walked out the door and saw people squatting at her doorstep. She looked at Gu Beihuai, who pald his forehead, having forgotten about this.
It turned out to be the people Tang Chuxia had saved at the event before. They sohow found out where she lived, and, knowing Tang Chuxia wasn’t awake yet, none of them left; they insisted on handing things directly to Tang Chuxia.
Knowing they wanted to thank Tang Chuxia, it was a gesture she didn’t really need.
"Lady, if it weren’t for you, my grandson would surely have been gone. We don’t have much at ho, just these eggs, please don’t mind!"
An old lady held up a basket of eggs. Tang Chuxia intended to refuse but considering the sincere manner the old lady spoke, she thought it would be rude to decline and said, "Alright then, I’ll accept them! You should go back ho, it’s terribly hot!"
Tang Chuxia handed the eggs to Gu Beihuai.
After Gu Beihuai took them, others sward over. One held so vegetables, another had so homade goods, and so even brought sweet treats.
Knowing that Tang Chuxia was Elder Huang’s apprentice and particularly proficient in bone-setting, they all sincerely expressed their gratitude.
They were just about to leave the house when people surrounded them. After sending each one off, the house was left with much stuff, making Tang Chuxia quite amused.
With the weather being hot, and so many items that couldn’t be consud quickly, Tang Chuxia turned to Gu Beihuai, "What now?"
Gu Beihuai suggested, "Don’t you have an orphanage? Send it there first!"
Tang Chuxia slapped her forehead, wondering how she could forget that. Luckily, Gu Beihuai had a vehicle available, and they loaded everything up.
Fortunately, the welfare ho wasn’t far; it just took an hour’s drive.
After delivering the items to the orphanage, she saw the children there were well taken care of. Dangdang was doing a great job working there, arranging everything well for them without any incidents of mistreatnt by the aunties taking care of them.
This was mainly because Tang Chuxia’s policies were well set up, and she occasionally sent nice things for the kids.
Although Tang Chuxia earned quite a sum, most of it went here.
The children there knew Tang Chuxia, and although she didn’t appear often, whenever she did, all the kids would gather around her.
Tang Chuxia distributed what she had received, and the children were very happy. She asked Gu Beihuai to check if anything needed fixing, while she pulled Dangdang aside to talk.
"How are you feeling these days?"
Tang Chuxia looked at Dangdang, noting her rosy complexion and spirited deanor, wondering what had happened recently that could change a person so much.
Dangdang smiled, "I eat well, sleep well, and every day I open my eyes there’s plenty to do—I don’t have the spare ti to worry about all that nonsense. I’ve never felt so fulfilled!"
Perhaps it was because of her natural rapport with children; Dangdang was particularly popular among them.
"So are you still planning to divorce?"
