They saw a mass of rats swimming on the water’s surface.

This is ice water, there’s even ice shards in it.

The rats seed unafraid of the cold, swimming densely as if sothing deadly was chasing them.

Gu Beihuai and Tang Chuxia both had grave expressions.

Tang Chuxia was purely scared.

Her trypophobia was triggered.

Who could handle this?

Gu Beihuai, on the other hand, recalled what Qin Zhan had just said.

At the sa ti, Qin Zhan exclaid, "How is this possible? Why are there so many rats here? Aren’t they supposed to be in the city?"

The person rowing the boat also used the paddle to hit the water, preventing the rats from approaching.

Fortunately, Tang Chuxia carried so strange powders with her. She sprinkled them around the small boat, and the powders quickly dissolved in the water, causing the rats to flee swiftly and not dare to co close.

Qin Zhan curiously asked, "What are these?"

Tang Chuxia shrugged, "So poison powders, I got them from Third Grandpa!"

She had collected quite a few good things when she went to find Tang Jianzheng before.

Though she hadn’t used them when looking for Tang Jianzheng, they ca in handy now.

Hearing the ntion of Third Grandpa, Qin Zhan knew what it was about and imdiately stopped asking, fearing he’d scare himself by digging deeper.

With the powders Tang Chuxia had scattered on the boat, no rats dared to approach, and they smoothly reached the place Qin Zhan had requested.

Upon arrival, they saw that a leader from the city was also there; this leader was Gu Beihuai’s great-uncle.

Great-uncle beckoned Gu Beihuai and Tang Chuxia over and started discussing the city’s rat problem.

"It’s clearly abnormal now, but no one knows why it’s abnormal!" Great-uncle was very troubled as he looked at Gu Beihuai.

Gu Beihuai shrugged, "Don’t look at , I don’t know what’s happening either; I almost got blad just now!"

Great-uncle asked, "What happened?"

Gu Beihuai waved his hand, "Let’s not talk about it. I’ll tell you later when there’s ti. I’ll arrange for soone to investigate it!"

They started to get busy, while Tang Chuxia found herself with nothing to do, so she wandered around outside since she couldn’t leave anyway.

There were military doctors and other doctors there, so there wasn’t anything for Tang Chuxia to do. With her hands behind her back, she strolled around and eventually bumped into soone who puzzled her.

"Tang Chuxia?"

The voice sounded familiar. Tang Chuxia turned to look and was imdiately hugged by soone.

"Boohoo... I knew it was you!"

Tang Chuxia, hugged by soone, was a bit taken aback, blinking blankly before pushing the person away.

"Luo Hongi?"

Tang Chuxia really didn’t expect the woman in front of her to be Luo Hongi.

Luo Hongi nodded vigorously, her eyes red: "Yes, yes, it’s !"

Tang Chuxia was puzzled, "Why are you here?"

On this question, it has to be said that Luo Hongi’s mother turned out to be an officer. Although her father wasn’t, after problems arose in the city, Luo Hongi’s mother took her out.

And beside Luo Hongi was a burly man, none other than Dazhuang, whom they had t at the chanical factory before.

Dazhuang gave Tang Chuxia a silly smile, but after Luo Hongi pinched his waist, he imdiately lowered his head, not daring to look at Tang Chuxia.

Tang Chuxia was amused, not expecting the two of them to actually be together.

"Are you married?"

Luo Hongi nodded.

"We’ve registered, but haven’t held a banquet yet. Once we do, you’re definitely invited!"

Tang Chuxia expressed no problem at all, as this was a happy event and she was happy to join in the fun.

"Oh right, I’m so excited to see you that I forgot what I wanted to tell you!" Luo Hongi pulled Tang Chuxia’s hand, finding a place to sit down.

"Your little brother and Yu iYu might be in big trouble!"

This was major news, leaving Tang Chuxia full of question marks.

Even though she knew Yu iYu had troubles, as her brother said he was going to marry Yu iYu, she didn’t believe her brother was soone who bore grudges.

Luo Hongi, seeing Tang Chuxia’s disbelief, said directly, "I knew you wouldn’t know what happened!"

Tang Chuxia nodded; she truly didn’t know.

Since marrying Dazhuang, Luo Hongi had lost those little ideas about Tang Jianbing and was now wholeheartedly living with Dazhuang, often marveling at the way fate works.

Dazhuang said if it weren’t for Tang Chuxia, the two of them wouldn’t be together, hence he had a great deal of respect for Tang Chuxia.

As a result, Luo Hongi’s little grudges towards Tang Chuxia were gone, and she genuinely considered Tang Chuxia a friend to warn her now.

"Wasn’t there a flood last night? You should know about it, right?"

Tang Chuxia nodded; she couldn’t get ho last night.

Luo Hongi whispered, "My family and Yu iYu’s family are neighbors, living particularly close. After the flood last night, the Yu family was in chaos. At first, Yu’s parents were with their family, moving together with us, but sothing happened midway, and they started quarreling."

Luo Hongi said a lot.

Tang Chuxia summarized it as follows:

Last night, floodwaters poured into the city, and the low-lying areas suffered greatly, with the Yu family being in such a low-lying place.

Yu iYu, having experienced bad things and combined with what happened yesterday with Tang Jianbing, was in a particularly bad mood, hiding alone in her house.

Even though the Yu family pulled her along during evacuation, after her sister-in-law mocked her a bit, she felt awful. Then, her brother scolded her for throwing a tantrum and not helping with the move, directly rebuking her a few tis.

This set off Yu iYu, who was already emotionally fragile, causing her to explode and run back ho, shouting she wouldn’t evacuate even if it ant drowning.

The Yu family was dumbstruck, wanting to stop her, but couldn’t match Yu iYu’s agility, so she really ran back alone.

As Yu iYu returned, the floodwaters rushed in, leaving no ti to run back. The Yu family could only follow the soldiers handling the transfer to the rescue location.

Once they arrived, they started crying about Yu iYu’s situation, and it was just then that Tang Jianbing, who was following the rescue, heard it. Concerned that Yu iYu might do sothing foolish, he risked his life to save her.

Luo Hongi was very touched at this point, "You wouldn’t believe it; Yu iYu can also be stubborn, throwing a fit at such a mont. When Dazhuang ca to find , he saw your brother lift Yu iYu directly to move her. But in her struggle, Yu iYu actually pushed your brother into the ice water."

Tang Chuxia was already gritting her teeth.

"Dazhuang said by the ti they arrived, your brother was shivering as he climbed onto the boat, and there’s no telling his condition now!"

Tang Chuxia abruptly stood up; she needed to find her brother.

"Do you know where my brother is now?" Tang Chuxia couldn’t let her brother get into trouble.

Luo Hongi shook her head, but Dazhuang said, "I saw your brother being taken away by soone!"
