Tang Chuxia hadn’t said a word, and this middle-aged man had already said a lot.
She could only listen.
It wasn’t that Tang Chuxia was not cautious, it was just that the man seed to harbor no ill will, and one could tell he was sincerely appraising Tang Chuxia.
After the man muttered to himself for a bit, he finally realized Tang Chuxia hadn’t spoken at all, and curiously asked, "Why aren’t you saying anything?"
Tang Chuxia smiled, "What? Do I need to say sothing?"
The man imdiately waved his hands, "Oh my, what a pleasant voice you have, indeed, you are my wife!"
Tang Chuxia initially didn’t want to shatter the man’s delusions, but she couldn’t stand him getting more and more carried away, so she had to say, "I’m sorry, I’m already married! My husband is just outside the door!"
Tang Chuxia pointed to the door to give the man a reminder.
The man let out an "Ah," and said, "Did I really go to the wrong room?" He was still full of disbelief.

Tang Chuxia made an "oh" sound, "But they’re not guarding , they’re protecting my brother. I’m not a criminal; why would they be guarding ?"
Upon hearing this, the man burst into loud laughter, covering his head with his large hands, which resembled palm-leaf fans.
"Look at my mouth, I just can’t speak properly, leading to your misunderstanding."
Tang Chuxia said nothing, while the man pulled up a stool for himself and sat down in front of Tang Chuxia’s bed, "Do you really not know who I am?"
Tang Chuxia shook her head; how could she know, even if she had so guesses, she wouldn’t actually say them out loud.
The man grinned and said, "I am your future man!"
Tang Chuxia sighed, "I’ve already said I’m in a relationship, aren’t you afraid my man will beat you up? He’s really good at fighting!"
The man dismissed the idea with a wave of his hand, "No matter how tough he is, he’s not as tough as , I can make him disappear!"
When he said this, he didn’t sound like he was joking at all, and it was sowhat convincing that he could actually do it.
Tang Chuxia cocked her head and looked at him, "Are you sure?"
The man humd in affirmation, and he even tried to take hold of Tang Chuxia’s hand, but suddenly felt sothing cold against his temple.
That icy sensation was indeed familiar.
The man dared not move.
Tang Chuxia said cheerfully, "Now I’m sure!"
The man gave a wry smile, "Comrade, miss, wife, don’t be so impulsive, though I do like your wild spirit!"
Tang Chuxia made an "oh" sound, "I quite like your simple-mindedness, truly the best target!"
While she spoke, Tang Chuxia cocked the safety of the gun.
A clicking sound made the man freeze in place.
He could hear the rotation of the handgun; Tang Chuxia was not joking, she was serious.
"Don’t, let’s talk this out, I really did co to find you!"
Tang Chuxia laughed, "Then tell , what is your real purpose in wanting to kill ?"
The man pointed to his own nose, "I’m just a simple man wanting to find a wife, I really don’t want to kill you! Accusing of this is just wronging , don’t trick ! I still want to live a few more years!"
These days were not the chaotic past; how could one just kill soone so casually?
The man was very aware of his current situation.
Tang Chuxia sighed and fired a shot at the ground with the weapon in her hand.
The sudden noise stunned everyone at the door, who then all rushed in to see Tang Chuxia holding a still-smoking gun, with a man whose chubby face was trembling in front of her.
It wasn’t that the man was particularly cowardly, but rather that the flesh on his cheeks was quivering.
Gu Beihuai rushed to Tang Chuxia’s side and snatched the weapon from her hand.
Even if he hadn’t taken it, Tang Chuxia wouldn’t use it again, she leaned against the headboard, observing Gu Beihuai’s expression.

He didn’t resist, which counted as fairly cooperative.
It wasn’t until the man was outside that he shook off the two young n’s control.

The man straightened his clothes and reminded them with an air of calm.
Gu Beihuai snapped, "You spout all sorts of nonsense to my wife, and you still ask what I want to do? I want to hit soone!"
He moved to kick again.
The man might be old, but he wasn’t incapacitated.
He put out a hand and shouted, "Stop, listen to what I have to say!"
Gu Beihuai stood still, signaling for him to speak.
How could they not give due respect to soone who had once been a heroic figure?
"That’s more like it. Harmony brings wealth, don’t get angry over nothing, take care of your body!"
The man gestured for the two to sit down and talk.
The three of them sat on the steps of the corridor.
"I really did want to find a wife, I just didn’t realize she was already married!"
In this matter, the man saw himself as a victim too.
Gu Beihuai cursed, "You expect to believe you didn’t know?"
The man nodded: "Of course I didn’t know. Is it easy for to get a wife? Do you know how many favors I had to provide to the logistics departnt for an allocated wife? I sent them materials by the truckload, and then the promised wife was gone!"
