Peng Fei walked up to Old Man Sun with a particularly pleased expression.
"Old nephew, have you thought about what you want to say?"
Old Man Sun forced a laugh.
He had just co in and focused only on his grandson, not yet noticing Peng Fei, the kid.
If he had noticed him, he certainly wouldn’t have allowed him to spout nonsense so easily here.
"Uncle is here too?"
Old Man Sun’s words made Peng Fei laugh. He pointed at Sun Qingyuan, "What is my nephew trying to do? Abducting a maiden? Does he know whose wife he is trying to take?"
Old Man Sun found it difficult to comnt, as Peng Fei was assuming the elder role in front of him, which he technically had the right to, though most people seldom did so, given their big age difference.
Sun Qingyuan really disapproved of Peng Fei’s intervention, "What do you want to do? Mind your own business!"
He would have been better off keeping quiet, because as soon as he spoke, Peng Fei asked, "What have I interfered in? You’ve had designs on my sister-in-law, should I not give you a little beating?"
Sun Qingyuan looked at Tang Chuxia.
This woman is Peng Fei’s sister-in-law?
Peng Fei put his hand on Gu Beihuai’s shoulder, "My Brother Huai!"
Sun Qingyuan’s face turned green.
Tang Chuxia also realized that Peng Fei was deliberately trying to disgust Sun Qingyuan and imdiately played along, "Then shouldn’t he be calling ’granny’?"
Peng Fei laughed. He hadn’t expected Tang Chuxia to catch on so quickly and co up with exactly what to say.
He imdiately nodded, "Exactly!"
Tang Chuxia faced Sun Qingyuan, "How about it? Let’s hear you call ’granny’."
Sun Qingyuan was not so easily fooled and naturally refused to call her that. He just glared at Peng Fei as if he wanted to eat him alive.
Seeing this, Peng Fei didn’t confront Sun Qingyuan directly but instead asked Old Man Sun, "Old nephew, your grandson isn’t shaping up!"
Old Man Sun forced another laugh.
But at this mont, Tang Chuxia suddenly exclaid, "I misspoke. According to the hierarchy, he shouldn’t be calling ’granny’ but ’great ancestor’!"
After all, she and Peng Fei were of the sa generation, and Peng Fei was Old Man Sun’s nephew.
So indeed, he should be respectfully addressing her as ’great ancestor’.
Gu Beihuai and the others were holding back their laughter; Tang Chuxia was really too wicked.
Old Man Gu, always one to deny face, laughed out loud, "That’s right, indeed!"
Old Man Sun’s face turned dark. He could tolerate Peng Fei since Peng Fei’s identity and seniority were clear, but what right did Tang Chuxia have to assu such a senior identity here?
Old Man Sun was about to burst out at Tang Chuxia when Old Man Gu spoke first, "What’s the matter? Did my granddaughter-in-law say anything wrong? Or is the Sun family not so ticulous?"
Old Man Sun yelled: "Can their statuses be debated together? Shouldn’t each be argued individually?"
If everything were argued based on seniority, wouldn’t that create chaos?
Old Man Gu responded, "Let’s not talk about the issue of seniority then, how about we discuss your grandson trying to take my granddaughter-in-law? Don’t tell you don’t know who my grandson is!"
Old Man Sun: ...
He didn’t want to admit it, but being pointedly asked, he couldn’t pretend he hadn’t heard.
"Have they held their wedding yet?"
Old Man Sun asked, catching Old Man Gu off guard.
Tang Chuxia also shrank back a bit; the marriage was too rushed; indeed, there hadn’t been enough ti.
Speaking of Gu Beihuai, seeing his grandfather’s disapproving look, he hurriedly said, "Grandpa, we were planning to register first then tell you all, as organizing the wedding definitely needs the elders’ involvent!"
After he finished speaking, Old Man Gu’s face seed much better; he turned around and started bragging to Old Man Sun, "Did you see that? It’s not that my grandson isn’t holding a wedding, but that we haven’t had the chance yet. Didn’t you notice my daughter-in-law is still in the hospital? Otherwise, how could you have had the chance to co over?"
Old Man Sun didn’t care about the specifics; he just wanted to make Old Man Sun look bad.
Old Man Sun pointed at his leg and roared, "I’m here to see my leg; my grandson just ca with . We’re not here to see your daughter-in-law!"
So, that was it.
Tang Chuxia glanced at Old Man Sun’s leg, then looked at Peng Fei, who just shrugged.
He didn’t know what was going on either.
Earlier in the yard, Sun Qingyuan shalessly ca up to them.
Gu Beihuai pushed Peng Fei’s arm away and walked up to Tang Chuxia, "What’s wrong? Scared?"
Tang Chuxia rolled her eyes at him, "Should I throw soone out?"
That was her forte.
Gu Beihuai held her head, "You shouldn’t put yourself through that trouble; I’ll handle it!"
Throwing soone out again, especially in front of their family mbers, god knows what could happen.
For safety’s sake, it was probably best not to do that.
Tang Chuxia was a bit unhappy that she wasn’t allowed to simply throw them out.
That guy got off easy.
Sun Qingyuan felt a chill down his spine but didn’t realize that he had narrowly escaped being thrown out because of Gu Beihuai’s intervention.
Old Man Sun and Old Man Gu were having a verbal fight in the hospital room.
Perhaps because they talked too much, both old n got thirsty and were finally persuaded to leave.
Tang Chuxia could finally relax.
She collapsed on the hospital bed and asked Peng Fei, "Is the Sun family very powerful?"
Although she knew they were targeting her, she hadn’t expected soone as odd as Peng Fei to be involved.
Peng Fei chuckled, "I’m not sure how powerful the Sun family is, but in front of our family, they’re really nothing!"
That was the truth; Tang Chuxia didn’t want to hear it—it was bloodline oppression, not strength.
"Will Sun Qingyuan seek revenge on ?" Tang Chuxia was even more worried about that.
Peng Fei rubbed his chin, "It’s hard to say. Given Sun Qingyuan’s character, he certainly won’t let you off easily!"
A person who holds grudges and had faced such humiliation, how could he not seek revenge?
Gu Beihuai sneered, "Afraid of what? If that kid dares to lay a hand on you, I’ll send him straight to the King of Hell!"
Tang Chuxia: ...
He was ruthless too.
She sighed, "It’s really not necessary to be so cruel. Being popular is inevitable; if you kill every rival, you’ll definitely exhaust yourself!"
Tang Chuxia was quite smug, and Gu Beihuai was close to losing his cool.
How could she be so nonchalant?
To make matters worse, Tang Chuxia continued, "Look, today it’s Sun Qingyuan, before there was so middle-aged old man. If another day passes, will so young talent show up?"
Gu Beihuai clenched his fists.
Tang Chuxia grew more excited as she spoke, and Tang Jianzheng rubbed his temples, trying to leave.
He was afraid that if he continued listening, he would witness Gu Beihuai dostically abusing his sister, only to be subdued and brutally beaten by Tang Chuxia.
To avoid putting himself in a difficult position, not knowing whom to persuade or help, he thought it better to leave first.
But before his foot even touched the ground, soone at the door shouted, "I’m here to see my wife; who dares to stop ?"
