Gu Beihuai kicked over, but Peng Fei wasn’t going to just sit and take it. He spun away to dodge.
He said with a grievance, "Brother Huai, you should be kind. All I did was say what you wanted to say!"
Gu Beihuai felt like kicking him again.
Fortunately, Peng Fei had already run far away.
On the helicopter, Gu Beihuai’s mind was still on the words Tang Chuxia had used to tease him earlier, never expecting that he’d turn around and lose her.
They were directly airdropped in, and when the parachutes opened, both Tang Chuxia and third sister-in-law saw it.
However, they didn’t think much of it, assuming they were just the rescue team, as long as they weren’t here to catch them.
Huang Yaqin cut down the vines in front of her with the knife in her hand and turned to ask Tang Chuxia, "What’s your plan? How do we find your Third Brother?"
Tang Chuxia was still fiddling with sothing in her hands, her head not lifting, instinctively following behind Huang Yaqin.
"Don’t worry, my Third Brother is very cunning. Even if everyone got into trouble, he wouldn’t. If we can’t find him now, it’s either he’s unable to co out or he’s not in this area!"
Tang Chuxia kept fiddling with the gadget in her hands and suddenly noticed sothing off.
"This direction!" The device in Tang Chuxia’s hand began to sound an alarm.
Third sister-in-law wasn’t sure what the gadget in Tang Chuxia’s hand did, but she noticed that Tang Chuxia must know it well, and said, "Okay!"
The two of them turned towards the direction pointed by Tang Chuxia.
"Third sister-in-law, let tell you, if we find my Third Brother, you have to give him a good kick!"
Tang Chuxia instigated, while third sister-in-law looked puzzled, not understanding why she was saying this.
"Think about it, my brother could call my mom, which ans he definitely knew the mission was dangerous, yet didn’t prepare defenses in advance, and dared to so confidently take on the task!"
Tang Chuxia got more excited as she spoke.
Third sister-in-law chuckled bitterly, "He was just carrying out orders; there was no opportunity to refuse!"
Tang Chuxia clicked her tongue, knowing this naturally.
"He didn’t even bother to call you to say anything, which shows how much he doesn’t care about you!" After Tang Chuxia finished saying this, Huang Yaqin also realized it and poked Tang Chuxia on the head, "Are you trying to deliberately provoke problems between and your Third Brother?"
Tang Chuxia grinned foolishly, "No, I’m just standing up for you, third sister-in-law!"
Huang Yaqin rolled her eyes, "You’re trying to provoke a fight between and your Third Brother!"
Tang Chuxia wasn’t upset about being exposed, since the search process was tedious and boring, she was just looking for sothing to distract them.
While Tang Chuxia and Huang Yaqin chatted, they had actually walked quite a distance, as the area lacks human habitation and preserves its primitive appearance. It’s a jungle area where snakes and bugs frequently pop up.
With both Huang Yaqin and Tang Chuxia having extensive outdoor skills, otherwise, it would be impossible to survive here.
They trekked quickly all the way, hacking through nurous poisonous insects’ attacks, finally arriving by a stream where they could catch a breath.
"Want to make sothing to eat?"
Huang Yaqin glanced around, flipping the pebbles, planning to gather materials on the spot.
Tang Chuxia didn’t oppose, since in her past life, she had tried all kinds of food.
But when she saw Huang Yaqin caught a water snake, she still complained, "Third sister-in-law, we can’t make a fire here, and the whole thing is full of parasites, it’ll kill us if we eat it!"
Huang Yaqin had no choice but to toss the water snake aside, pulled out two pieces of biscuits from her bag and handed them to Tang Chuxia.
Tang Chuxia shook her head, looking inside her own bag, pulling out a small gadget, set it on the ground and aligned it towards the sun, finding the right angle to utilize solar cooking by converting sunlight into heat.
Luckily the sun was still blazing here, soon the small pot she placed atop began boiling. Tang Chuxia peeled the snake, cut it into pieces, and tossed them in.
Boiled snake at indeed wasn’t tasty, but it beat dry, choking biscuits.
Third sister-in-law looked bewildered, completely not expecting Tang Chuxia’s backpack to be equipped with these items, especially with a small pot, when did she prepare that?
"Don’t tell you had these prepared already!"
Huang Yaqin couldn’t think of a reason no matter how hard she thought.
Tang Chuxia shrugged, "Of course not, just prepped them casually while disassembling things, initially planning if we still couldn’t find anyone by tomorrow, I’d wander off by myself to find Third Brother!"
Huang Yaqin was speechless.
Apparently, had she not cooperated, Tang Chuxia was ready to go off alone.
Huang Yaqin felt obliged to be thankful she cooperated with Tang Chuxia.
While they were eating, Gu Beihuai, along with A, B, C, D, and an added Peng Fei, arrived in the nearby area.
"There’s a sll of at!"
C’s nose twitched twice, confidently asserting.
Gu Beihuai didn’t doubt his judgnt; C’s special ability was his extrely sensitive sense of sll, even sharper than a dog’s.
When he said there was, then there really was.
"It’s boiled snake at!"
C swallowed, he loved this dish, hence was very attuned to the sll of snake at.
To have the scent of boiled snake at in such an uninhabited place, what does that indicate?
There must be soone around!
Certainly, they had to go check it out.
Gu Beihuai imdiately decided to let C lead the way, determined to find the location of the boiled snake at.
C said the distance wasn’t very far, but with many places lacking paths requiring blazing a trail or taking detours, it took quite a bit of ti.
By the ti they arrived at the stream, there were no signs of boiled snake at, only a few fishes in the water seeming to have just feasted.
Gu Beihuai squatted down for careful inspection, while beside him, C’s nose twitched, "Brother Huai, it was two won!"
Gu Beihuai gritted his teeth.
He was certain that the ones eating at here were definitely Tang Chuxia and Huang Yaqin.
Because besides the runaway Tang Chuxia and Huang Yaqin, probably no other won dared to stay in this area.
Peng Fei muttered under his breath, "Brother Huai, your honeymoon sure is thrilling!"
Gu Beihuai shot him a glare, his eyes sharp as a knife, nearly made Peng Fei collapse on the spot.
Too vicious.
ss up and it might cost your life.
A, B, C, D all burst out laughing.
Although they belonged to Tianji, they weren’t military. They just had assignnts there and would only appear when there were tasks.
Among A, B, C, D, all were n, though their ages ranged broadly.
A was middle-aged, B was young, C was a youth, and D was also a youth.
At this mont, B chuckled, "Brother Huai, are you really married? Is your wife that wild? Will you be able to keep her in check afterward?"
A rubbed his hands, pulling out a cigarette, not lighting it, afraid it would affect C’s sense, only fiddling it in his fingers for fun.
"A little wildness in won makes it interesting; maybe Brother Huai just likes being tad!"
