Chapter 251: Chapter 251 Third Sister-in-Law’s Domineering Presence
During dinner, Father Tang ate joylessly, chewing his food as if it were wax, while the mood of the other mbers of the Tang Family was much improved.
After dinner, Father Tang imdiately ran off, claiming he was going to check on the office, but it was clear to everyone that he was simply afraid of the third sister-in-law.
Once Father Tang had left, Madam Tang scolded with a laugh, “That guy is just a coward!”
But the third sister-in-law responded with all seriousness, “Auntie, Third Brother asked to tell you, ‘Get a divorce as soon as possible!'”
Madam Tang was stunned; she hadn’t expected such advice from her son.
The elder sister-in-law and Tang Chuxia were both curious, yet the third sister-in-law insisted that Tang Chuxia help the elder sister-in-law go out for a walk to aid digestion, as she was close to giving birth and couldn’t afford any negligence. It was best to rest properly!
Tang Chuxia and the elder sister-in-law could tell the third sister-in-law had sothing to say to Madam Tang that they were not supposed to hear.
They had no choice; the third sister-in-law was too formidable, and they dared not disobey.
Tang Chuxia assisted the elder sister-in-law out for a stroll, with Licorice following closely beside them, carefully watching over the elder sister-in-law for any mishaps.
“Elder sister-in-law, what do you think the third sister-in-law has to say to my mom?” Tang Chuxia was very curious, but the elder sister-in-law waved her hand, “Don’t ask, it’s no use asking !”
The elder sister-in-law was speaking the truth; Tang Chuxia rubbed the back of her neck and looked over at a group of old n sunbathing in the corner, “Licorice, accompany the elder sister-in-law on her walk, I’ve got so errands to run!”
With that, she ran off.
The elder sister-in-law shook her head, resigned. The younger sister’s impulsive nature hadn’t changed at all.
On the other hand, Licorice was quite envious; she was always so cautious, yet she could never act as freely as she wished.
At that mont, Tang Chuxia sprinted to the community office, rembering the sponsorship of lon seeds for the office from before. She had a favor to ask now and believed it wouldn’t be too troubleso.
Tang Chuxia found Auntie Fatty, who was busy asking people to help hang up red lanterns. When Auntie Fatty saw Tang Chuxia, she invited her to join for tea.
“Auntie Fatty, I want to inquire about sothing,” Tang Chuxia started, “Do you rember that farm on the outskirts of Quan City?”
Auntie Fatty nodded, of course she rembered—it was a place that had been scorned by everyone years ago. In the last few years, many people had been rehabilitated and sent back ho, and now, the farm had beco a popular topic of discussion.
Relieved that Auntie Fatty rembered, Tang Chuxia suggested putting together a comforting performance for the people there, acknowledging their hard work.
Auntie Fatty looked at Tang Chuxia as if she were a fool, “We’re just a community office, not the city governnt. It’s not our place to arrange such events, is it?”
Tang Chuxia rubbed her hands together, grinning, “How about we go in the na of the community office? I’ll provide the gifts, and the office can supply the perforrs. What do you think?”
Auntie Fatty had reason to suspect Tang Chuxia was up to sothing, but Tang Chuxia explained, “I just want to visit a few elders. You know they had a tough ti in the past, and I accompanied you on several visits. So of the grandpas were really kind to , and with the New Year approaching, I want to go see them!”
Auntie Fatty was moved by Tang Chuxia’s loyalty, and since she was planning to make a visit that year anyhow, she decided, “Let’s forget the performance, we’ll just go together as if visiting relatives!”
Tang Chuxia had no objections; she would go ho and prepare so nice things to take with them.
After agreeing to go with Auntie Fatty the next day, Tang Chuxia returned ho, expecting Madam Tang might have gone to the office. But to her surprise, not only had Madam Tang not left, but there were also quite a few people at ho.
As she entered the yard, she imdiately saw the house full of people, with the third sister-in-law sitting in the center, sipping tea.
Rushing over, Tang Chuxia then noticed soone kneeling in the courtyard.
It wasn’t anyone else, it was actually Tang Wanqiu.
Tang Chuxia looked around, what kind of drama was this?
But her elder sister-in-law was kind, beckoning her over to speak inside the room.
Because the elder sister-in-law was pregnant, she was ordered by the third sister-in-law to rest in the room and not to ddle in affairs outside, in case she accidentally hurt herself.
“Your third sister-in-law said, until Tang Wanqiu changes her surna, she remains one of the Tang Family,” the elder sister-in-law said with eyes filled with envy, “and for all the disgraceful acts she has committed against the Tang Family’s reputation, she must be punished!”
Even Tang Chuxia felt envious.
To be honest, although she was smart and whimsical, acting on her own whims, she was naturally lacking a sense of the bigger picture compared to the third sister-in-law.
She finally understood why such a demon-like person as Third Brother Tang could be tad by the third sister-in-law; probably not many n could resist the third sister-in-law’s charm.
At that mont, Tang Chuxia saw the third sister-in-law as a life idol.
“Why would Tang Wanqiu co ho?” That’s what Tang Chuxia was curious about.
Logically, since Tang Wanqiu had already left, shouldn’t it be the Yang Family or the Hu Family who ought to be here, what was she doing here?
The elder sister-in-law gestured dismissively, “She ca with her mother!” The elder sister-in-law pointed towards Wen Wenqing, who stood at the side with an extrely ugly look on her face, and everything beca clear.
Tang Chuxia thought of what Yang Chao had said before, could it be that Yang Chao hadn’t dealt with these two yet?
Before she could ponder any further, she heard the third sister-in-law put down her teacup and ask with disdain, “Do you hate ??”
Tang Wanqiu tilted her head to look at the third sister-in-law, but her eyes could not hide the shortfall, she was indeed lacking a lot.
Rubbing her chin, Tang Chuxia noted Tang Wanqiu’s other side that she knew of, usually well hidden, almost unnoticed by anyone, but now her composure was slipping, suggesting the third sister-in-law had a formidable presence.
“Hate if you want to, who asked to be such a pitiable person?” the third sister-in-law rubbed her wrist and stood up, walking towards Tang Wanqiu, “Setting other matters aside, the Tang Family raised you, not to thank the Tang Family for this, you not only sched against our grandparents but also against your younger sister, this is unacceptable!”
The third sister-in-law pinched Tang Wanqiu’s chin, “I, for one, despise those ingrates the most, those who tread on the favors given by their benefactors and return evil for good.”
Tang Wanqiu tried to shake off the hand on her chin but regretfully t the third sister-in-law’s icy gaze.
“Third Brother originally wanted to settle accounts with you at the end, but I didn’t expect you to be so eager to co yourself, so there’s no need for to find you!” The third sister-in-law released her hand, standing up straight just as Tang Wanqiu was feeling relieved.
“The na Tang Wanqiu belongs to a sister of the Tang Family. Starting from today, it is formally retracted; from now on, there will be no Tang Wanqiu in the world, and the Tang Family will only have a claim to debt against you!”
After finishing, the third sister-in-law saw Tang Wanqiu’s face turn deathly pale and continued, “Also, rember to return the things you took from the Tang Family Mansion, otherwise Third Brother said he will personally take action. You can weigh then what will beco of you!”
At this point, Wen Wenqing finally couldn’t bear it any longer, pulling up Tang Wanqiu and questioning the third sister-in-law, “Enough, you’re not even married into the Tang Family yet, and you dare to be so arrogant. Are all the Tang Family mbers dead?”
Wen Wenqing glared towards Father Tang, who shrank his neck and avoided her gaze.
The third sister-in-law chuckled lightly, shaking her head, “It seems you’re really being driven to desperation!” Then she called out towards the door, “Mr. Yang, do you still wish to continue watching?”
Yang Chao erged from behind the crowd, and as he walked over to Tang Wanqiu, before uttering a single word, he raised his hand and struck the back of Tang Wanqiu’s neck.
His strike was crisp and decisive.
