Reed is one of the players who is yet to have any fight in the arena.

A female guard who had a rough face moved around the prisoners to pick out who was ant to go to the arena. Reed silently stepped back and hid himself behind Lucian while silently praying, 'Please don't pick .' He visibly shook as the guard moved past Lucian towards him; his eyes, which were widened in fear, quickly expressed a sudden confusion as the guard side-stepped him to where Draven was, sitting on the ground with his back resting against the wall.

"Get up!" The guard ordered, making Draven pull up his face that was buried in his folded arms.

"What?" Draven asked with an anxious voice, refusing to believe that he's the one. His arm fell from his folded knees as he tried to push backwards, but the hard surface against his back kept him from moving.

"I don't want to repeat myself. You heard ."

"But… but… but I have already fought; there are many others here who haven't had a single fight yet." Draven said, afraid of what the guard would do to him because he didn't want to stand up. Standing up ans that he agrees to fight in the arena; although he didn't have a choice, he wanted to try and talk his way out. If he could get the guards to just listen to him.

"The chief is the one who decides the next opponent, not you." The guard turned, her eyes moving around the scared prisoners. "You!" She pointed at Kalon. "Move to the arena now. If any of you humans waste my ti," she glanced at Draven. "I'm going to kill you and pick soone else; I'm sure that the chief won't mind.

'She wants to kill . If she knows about what happened between and Tara, that ans she set this match up on purpose to kill .' Draven thought. As long as Wisteria was involved in his set up to fight for the day, there was no way he could talk his way out.

Kalon smiled and gave a gentle kiss to Tara on her forehead. "Wait for ; I will be back soon." He whispered to her.

Tara held his shirt but let go after glancing at the impatient guard. Tears filled her eyes as she nodded.

Kalon stepped into the arena, confident that he could win against Draven because Draven had poor fighting skills. Everyone in the team knew that.

While so in Flint's teams chose to follow his example of not killing, there were others who got too scared of Wisteria to defile her. Kalon, on the other hand, had no interest in sparing Draven's life, not when he had betrayed his teammates, not just once but twice.

Draven struck his blade against Kalon, but his strength wasn't enough. He was easily pushed back and kicked in the gut. While groaning in pain at the strong impact, Kalon's blade sliced through the skin running over his arm.

The crowd scream and shout, "Finish him! Finish him."

Draven felt dizzy from the loss of blood as he ran around the arena, trying to escape Kalon, but there was no way out. The crowd laughs at his pathetic attempt for survival.

"Stop running; we both know how this is going to end." Kalon glared at Draven and lifted his sword up to strike him down.

Draven stumbled and unexpectedly lost his footing, making Kalon miss his finishing strike.

"I'm not going to beg you to spare my life." Draven said with labored breath. "With all the awful things I have done, I know that I don't deserve it."

Kalon steps closer to Draven, who is still on the ground.

"Tara picked a good man when she chose you." He gave a sad smile.

"What are they saying?" Tara mumbled as she watched Kalon and Draven from a distance.

'He shouldn't be hesitating.' Lucian thought. 'Not for a guy like Draven.'

"Before this ends, I just want to apologize for what I did to you and your teams." Draven sneakily grabs a handful of sand into his hand. "Please help to tell them after my death." He threw the sand at Kalon's face; quickly he pierced Kalon in the gut and kicked his sword away.

Draven laughed heartily as Kalon weakly fell to the ground. The noise from the crowd changed as they beca less excited.

'Tara.' Kalon thought. Feeling like a fool for letting Draven trick him. He tried reaching for his sword, but Draven pierced his arm, making him scream in agony.

Draven punched Kalon in his face. "You stole my woman from , you bastard. Die!" He kept punching Kalon until his knuckles turned bloody. Then he raised his sword and pierced Kalon's heart. "To hell with your love story." He said, "All that is left is the bitch who seduced ."

Tara's teammates held her from running into the arena without permission. She cried and scread out the na of her dead lover.

Lucian sighed. 'This is the reason why you can't let yourself be emotionally tied to anyone in this damned world,' he thought. His cold heart felt Tara's pain, but it ended imdiately when a guard ca up to him, demanding that he step into the arena for the next fight.

Wisteria was using their life to play gas. She wanted Draven dead, and she wants Lucian to kill. Lucian knew what she wanted and wasn't going to give her the satisfaction.

It didn't take Lucian long to beat Draven; even without the help of his sword, he only uses his sword to slice through Draven's arm when he tried using the sa sand trick he did against Kalon again.

"Kill !" Draven shouted. He lay down on his back on the ground, wounded and tired. He thought that it was unfair how he wasn't even given a day to rest before fighting against soone as strong as Lucian.

Lucian glanced at Tara from afar, 'I won't be the one who will kill you, dirtbag.'

Draven scread and forced himself on his feet, refusing to give up as he raised his sword to attack Lucian.

Lucian easily knocked his sword out of his hand and hit him hard enough to make him unconscious. "Stay down." Lucian raised his face to Wisteria, expecting her to be disappointed, but she was smiling.

With hand gestures from Wisteria, unconscious humans whose bodies were frozen were brought in; Flint and Soren were among them. Wisteria's smile expanded at the expression on Lucian's face; finally, she was getting a reaction out of him. She should have threatened Lucian at first with the humans that were with him the day she captured him, but she didn't think of it until now. "This is your final chance." Wisteria said in a clear tone. Letting the guard reveal Lucian's next opponent.

It was Luna; her eyes were clear and frightened. She wasn't in her foggy state anymore.

Although it pains Wisteria to use the life of her adopted daughter, Lucian needed to be put under control. Luna was replaceable to her, but Lucian wasn't.

"Choose, son. Obey my orders and fight to the death, or I will execute all the humans here in front of you, and depending on my mood, I might kill you and your dark-haired friend over there." She said in reference to Luna. "If you decide to disobey again."
