Leon stepped forward, his calm deanor unshaken as he faced the Banshee Queen. With a flick of his wrist, he dismissed his staff into his spatial inventory and drew a sword instead. Its blade glead with ethereal light, imbued with runes that pulsed faintly. He glanced over at Roman, who stood by Roselia to help secure the children.

He then removed the Silent veil from only himself, causing the banshee Queen to turn to look at him.

The Banshee Queen let out a chilling laugh as her twisted form rose higher into the air.

"Ahahaha! You dare face ? Are you here to be my nourishnt?" she sneered, her crimson eyes glowing with malice. "Sadly, only the blood of children keeps young!"

Leon's gaze remained steady as he tightened his grip on the sword. "So that's why you've continued this atrocity—to make your undead skin glow?" he asked, his voice dripping with disdain.

The Banshee Queen's expression darkened, and she lunged at him with inhuman speed. Her once-beautiful, flowing white dress was now stained with the blood of her victims, its purity a cruel mockery of her monstrous deeds.

"No! This skin is no matter of what I do remains the sa!" she spat, her voice shaking with rage. "I was cursed—betrayed in life and damned in death."

" then why the children blood and with this cruelty?" Leon asked calmly trying to maintain his berserk point from reaching any higher.

" I used to bath in blood of children when i was alive" she shrugged as if it was the most normal thing " I learn from a Blood mage, bathing in tornted blood of children can not only make beautiful but also increase my talent in Blood magic" she said.

" But one day that bastard Magus king casted Curse of Eternal retaliation on , forced em to suffer the sa pain as these low borns" She said pulling her hairs as she continued " They should be happy that they can be of use to a Noble yet these bastard cause to turn into this Cursed Spirit banshee who is always in pain."

And then with a twisted smile she continued " so I grabbed their souls and make them go through this pain again and again as their punishnt"

Leon's eyes narrowed as he pieced the truth together. "The Curse of Eternal Retaliation, isn't it? Cast by the one you trusted most, turning you into a puppet of endless suffering..."

"yes, it made suffer so much " she said sobbing.

Her mont of vulnerability passed, and she scread again, her voice laced with anguish and hatred. "But you won't save them! You've co too late, as all heroes do!" Continue reading stories on My Virtual Library Empire

With a sweep of her hand, three spectral white knives materialized and flew toward Leon with deadly precision.

Leon didn't flinch. He calmly waved his hand, summoning a Force Barrier, enveloping himself in a protective azure shield that deflected the incoming slashes effortlessly.

"You're wrong about one thing," Leon said, his voice cold and unwavering. The Banshee Queen paused her attack, intrigued by his calm defiance.

Holding his sword in a steady posture, Leon added, "You don't need a hero... you need a judge to pass judgnt on your vile actions."

His voice echoed through the chamber as he continued, "Myriad Beast Art…" His sword glowed with an ominous light as he disappeared in a blur of speed, reappearing behind the Banshee Queen.

"Seventh Form: Tornt Slash."

Arghhhhhhhhhh

A sharp, agonizing cry escaped the Banshee Queen's lips as a massive jagged wound appeared across her chest, extending up to her face. She writhed in pain, her once-elegant form now trembling with fury and anguish.

The tornt Slash was made to ta wild beast by inflicting pain and replacing their wild nature with fear, so they don't rampage but now using on a humanoid of sa height as normal adult it is both fatal and very painful.

Leon turned to face her, his expression devoid of pity. "Seventh Form: Tornt Slash," he announced, his sword glowing brighter as he prepared for another strike. This ti, his attack ca at her back, opening another jagged wound.

The Banshee Queen staggered back, gasping. Roman and Roselia stood aside, watching in silence, though Roman's hands trembled as he clutched his sword tightly.

"That is the true aning of the Banshee Undead," Roselia said quietly, stepping closer to Roman. "Banshees are cursed spirits, condemned by those they tornted and betrayed. Their unending tornt is both their punishnt and their prison."

Leon stood over the Banshee Queen, who now looked up at him, her defiance replaced with a hollow despair.

"Tearing away lives to sustain your own only deepens your suffering," Leon said, his tone harsh but resolute. "You've caused enough harm. It's ti to end this cycle."

As the Banshee Queen let out a guttural cry, the children's spirits—those she had consud over the years—began to materialize around her. Their glowing forms shimred with a faint light as they slowly drifted away, freed from their tornt.

Roselia smiled faintly as she saw the children's spirits ascending. "They were bound here by her curse. With her power diminished, they've finally found peace," she said, her voice tinged with relief.

Roman knelt, overwheld by the sight of the spirits. Tears stread down his face as he whispered, "They were my friends... when I was alive." His voice broke as he continued, "I failed to protect them… I thought she was different, that my lady would save them."

" She said she has sent them to better hos but...she....." He didn't finish as he choked on his own cries.

Roselia placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Your pain is valid, Roman. But now you've witnessed their freedom. That matters more than anything else."

Leon approached Roman, his gaze steady. "We all bear regrets," he said. "What defines us is how we choose to move forward."

Roman nodded, his tears falling silently. "I swear... I'll honor their mory."

Leon turned his attention back to the Banshee Queen, who now lay motionless, her power drained. She whispered faintly, "Just ..kill...."

" How many have asked you this?" Leon eyes remained cold as he asked.
