Chapter 2020: Chapter 2017: Bygone Days

This duel, the Goat Mother never really intended to take it seriously from the beginning.

She just wanted to play along with her godson. When Han Dong showed strong signs of fatigue and could no longer fight, she would pull him inside her for so intimate ti.

However, things did not progress as she had imagined,

She even felt a hint of threat from a certain incarnation of god borrowing, her mindset slowly changed, gradually seeing it as a genuine sparring match.

In the end,

After 11 hours and 31 minutes of fighting,

Han Dong completely exhausted the energy within his body, to the point where even the white lotus could no longer rotate, and while sprinting forward with sheer determination, he fell flat on his face.

“Deep Coma”

The Goat Mother’s humanoid form slowly crawled out from her main body surface… Her skin bore various scars, all caused by Han Dong.

She cradled the limp and unconscious Han Dong in her arms and gently poked his abdon.

“Oh~ getting so tired like this, now all that’s left to do is rest.

I even told you to save half your strength to play well with .

But… your performance truly exceeded expectations, making feel a long-lost joy and a bit of a threat. Perhaps you really have a chance to achieve the plan you spoke of.

Since you satisfied in real combat, I won’t make things difficult for you.”

After gently caressing him for a while, she fed him liquids to replenish and repair Han Dong’s almost depleted body.

Who knows how much ti has passed.

Han Dong woke from a deep sleep,

His groggy mind still held the bizarre dreams experienced during his slumber,

He dread of feeding on his mother’s milk as a child, though the process was filled with a strong goat sll.

In front of him,

Han Dong was lying in a room filled with neon colors, the soft bed covered with sheer fabric gave off a faint fragrance.

“Hmm… why does this place look like so sort of regular building? Am I no longer inside the Goat Mother?”

It was then that,

The door opened and a middle-aged woman with an elegant deanor walked in, her arms replaced with prosthetics and a cigarette in her hand.

Even though her appearance and expressions were indistinguishable from a human’s,

Han Dong could imdiately tell that she was, at her core, a Black Goat… A Black Goat that had suffered permanent injuries, confined to the Ancestor Stage.

“Mr. Nicholas, you’re finally awake! I’ve already picked out a few maids of different styles for you, I hope you’ll like them…”

Following her,

A line of human won of various ages entered, their bodies bearing more or less marks of chanical modifications.

It was clear that this Black Goat disguised as a human was a madam.

“Sorry, I’m not interested in this~ let them leave.

I just want to ask you a few questions alone… This isn’t the Black Forest, right?”

“No, you were quietly sent to from the Black Forest. This is your ho, the human base, Holy City – Nointena.

Due to my physical disability, I can’t be considered a full Black Goat, so I’ve been stationed here for human surveillance while also running a small business.

The maids in our store are very clean, I personally help them wash every day… Of course, if Mr. Nicholas has certain tastes, we do have so rare male collections available for free.”

“Do you think I’d still have those needs just after coming out of the Black Forest? By the way, how long have I been asleep?”

“A week and seven hours.”

“Alright, thanks for taking care of during this ti.”

As Han Dong left, he intentionally left a bottle of green-glow potion on the table, which was the latest limb regeneration agent developed by the doctor.

When stepping out of this parlor,

Han Dong wrapped himself in a cloak, wearing the familiar bird-beak mask, completely restraining his aura to avoid being recognized and causing a commotion.

The reason for hiding his identity,

is that he didn’t want to disturb Sally, who was undergoing ‘ordinary human training’ in the Holy City.

“Sally would surely take the Goat Mother’s orders seriously… under any circumstances, she would probably maintain a normal human state.

The slums of the Holy City are not good places, and if Sally’s beauty were to be exposed, she would surely be targeted by lawless people.

It’s been more than ten days, and I still don’t know how she’s doing exactly.”

The mont Han Dong stepped onto the street, he caught a trace of the unique scent left behind by Sally,

Her location should be on the other side of the slum, requiring him to circle half of the Holy City to reach her.

“It doesn’t matter,

even if Sally suppresses her human level, her physical quality is far beyond any ordinary person’s.

Moreover, as the Fourth Elent, she is quite shrewd, she just isn’t used to thinking when she’s around .

She can easily handle various lower-class humans, even if she suffers a bit, it’s a normal phenonon. These are necessary experiences for her to beco a true ‘person.’

A rare mont of leisure, I’ll walk there slowly.”

Standing in the streets of the slum,

Han Dong’s heart suddenly beca at peace, not hurrying to find Sally,

but leisurely wandering through the Holy City, along the twisty, ssy, filthy streets. Although it had changed significantly compared to before, the feeling it gave Han Dong remained the sa.

That day,

the scene of winning the “Faceless Skull” and arriving at the Holy City is still vivid in his mory.

Recalling the past, Han Dong realized that he never truly had a rest; he was always racing against ti, always busy… even while lying in bed, his mind was occupied with thinking about the prison work in his skull and how to efficiently get so sleep.

“Tired? This is the rhythm of life that I pursue… Life is too short, if you keep stopping and walking, you won’t be able to grasp the essence and can’t see the truth.”

Unknowingly,

Han Dong found himself standing against the wall in a hidden corner of the city… the original Crooked Neck Tree where “Valen. Nicholas” was hung still stood here.

For so reason,

Han Dong had a strange inclination to take out a rope and hang himself up.

Feeling the tugging sensation of the noose.

His eyes gradually bulging out from the prolonged hanging.

Gradually,

Han Dong seed to see a strange faceless skull crawling out from the shadows at the corner, coming to his feet, the two having a “deep gaze” at each other.

His thoughts seemingly returned to that day.

Right at that mont,

Buzzz! A beam of strong light suddenly shone on Han Dong’s face, pulling his thoughts back.

Along with a harsh and irritable voice:

“Dammit! Why do people keep coming here to hang themselves, get down now!”

Right after,

A chanical arm flew out, directly shattering the tree branch! Han Dong gently landed on his feet, stably touching the ground.

The newcor was a sheriff with modified arms, using a strong light device to illuminate Han Dong’s situation.

“I’m sorry, I was just caught in my thoughts, I’m leaving now.”

“Wait…”

Due to the changes in Holy City’s managent system, this sheriff was actually an Apprentice Knight interning in the slum, he faintly sensed that this mysterious person in the crow mask seed sowhat unusual.

When the branch had broken just now, the other party landed gracefully.

Out of knightly instinct, he wanted to verify the person’s identity. If the intruder was an undocunted demon, he would request backup imdiately.

“Please show your ‘identity card.'”

“Identity card? Does every civilian have identity authentication now… I haven’t returned to Holy City in a long ti, I don’t have such a thing. But this should be able to prove my identity.

Furthermore, please help return this thing,

since I’ve surpassed this level, it needs to be recycled by the Knight Headquarters as per the rules.

Additionally, since we’ve t by chance, I’ll give you sothing, it’s much more advanced than your current prosthetics… just to fully control it, you’ll need to slowly adapt and overco fear.”

Han Dong tossed over his forr Knight Badge, along with a semi-living chanical arm that the doctor had temporarily created.

The other party caught them, suddenly stunned.

“Valen. Nicholas… the legendary Demon knight?!”

When he looked up again,

Only a few crows scattered in the air were left in sight.
